What a nostalgic experience! I haven't been to an Oregano's since college! This place did not change one bit in a good way! Still the 50s decor and the classic red and green. Service is spot on. Terry was so friendly and helpful with our selections. My friend and I ordered the simple house salad and the Clark Street meat pizza, and they worked perfectly together! I didn't know how much I missed this place until this meal. I'm going to add it to my hang out place with my friends going forward.

Haven't been here in a long while and wife was craving their Alfredo The Dark dish, which is her favorite. We had Joey as our server and after a bit of a rough start...she made up for it! When we entered, the restaurant wasn't busy and I know they try to seat tables so that all of the servers get their fair share but we were guided over to one of the tiny two-seat tables and we like bigger ones considering we are tad bigger. The hostess got annoyed, her tone and body language were loud and a gentleman, I assume the manager? took us over to another booth, which was perfect and we said so to him. Joey made up for it with her pleasant and happy demeanor and friendly service. We started with their Antipasto Thing-Salad and I asked for a side of ranch because there is nothing better than ranch mixed with Italian! Such a great, fresh salad with these most wonderful bits of fried cheese balls they use for croutons! Such a good salad! Wife got her Alfredo the Dark without meat this time around and was extremely happy. They serve it with a big, roasted jalapeno, which she takes and chops up so it is mixed throughout the pasta. I wasn't feeling saucy so just ordered an adult version of pasta with butter and cheese and it was perfect. Perfectly cooked angel hair pasta and they'll bring you as many bowls as you want! We finished with a piece of cheesecake to go, which we enjoyed at home later that evening. So creamy and covered with a dusting of graham crumbles...a sweet ending for sure! Overall a good meal!

Chicken parmigiana sandwich

I ordered online for pickup for lunch. I ordered the chicken parmigiana sandwich for pickup at 11:30. I got there a little early at 11:20. I walked into the to go door. A very friendly staff member greeted me. She asked if I had a pick up order. I told her I was a little early. She said to give them a few minutes. Within a couple of minutes I had my order. The sandwich comes with house made chips & slaw. The sandwich was good. It wasn't great because I was crazy about the marinara. It's super chunky & has tomato skins in it. The chicken was crispy and super tender. The sandwich was huge & had 2 chicken pieces on it. It could use a little more sauce or a side of sauce. The chips were good & crispy. The slaw was a bit bland to me. I will most likely order then sandwich again for lunch. I will just click no slaw next time. I will also see if they offer a side of sauce. If not, no biggie. I could only eat half of the sandwich so I have lunch for tomorrow. Not a bad deal for the cost.

We've made Oregano's our families post Christmas dinner spot each year since the original review. The food is always good, the service is always excellent, and the staff does an amazing job being attentive to large parties. Thank you for being apart of our holiday tradition and thank you for everyone's hard work to create a heartfelt family friendly experience.

I came to oreganos for dinner the service and food were outstanding. I sat in a booth which was spacious to just relax while waiting on the food. There was music playing but not too loud. I ordered the HAKUNA PICCATA which was so good and it came with garlic bread! YUM. If you like sauce ask them to put extra sauce on the side so you add as desire. Chill place for dinner just for you or you plus the fam. Will be back, to try it for lunch

First time to Oregano's and wasn't disappointed. The design and decorations are very up beat and cute. I wasn't very impressed with my salad. The lettuce was wilted and not very fresh. Our server had a lot of tables and while it wasn't horrible service we did have to wait for water, takeout boxes and paying our bill. All but 1 of our entrees were very good. The stuffed Rigatoni was bland and we didn't eat it.

Chicken Parmesan

Very quick service and large portions. Delicious chicken Parmesan and spaghetti with meatballs.

Met a friend here for an early dinner one night during the week. Interior was a little dated but reminded you of an Italian bistro. Our service was good. Food was just ok. The cheese bread was very oily. The zany ziti the pasta was very over cooked which made the whole dish extremely disappointing. With all of the great Italian restaurants in the valley this does not rate anywhere near the top for me.

Order was taken quickly and service was quick, with hot food being delivered. Their dogs are the best with that wonderful snap when you bite into it. Served in a poppy seed bun, they load the dogs with mustard, that bright green relish, tomatoes, pickles, and a couple of peppers. Love their fries, which are always crispy on the outside and tender inside and their onion rings have a good crust and when you bite into one, no onion comes sliding out...the sign of a perfectly cooked onion ring! Overall a great visit!

Before an event in the area, I stopped by Portillo's Chandler for a late lunch. This location of…read morethe iconic Chicago hot dog chain is situated close to the mall in Chandler. Parking is a breeze in their large lot. Ambiance (3.5/5): Portillo's gives off that old school diner feel. It's spacious. Comfortable. Modern while maintaining old school vibes. My only gripe? It was super cold inside. It was an unusually chilly day in Phoenix in September and they were still blasting the A/C. I usually run hot and I was close to needing a jacket. My arms were quite cold when I left. Not something that happens very often. Service (4/5): Portillo's has self-service kiosks where you can customize your order to your heart's content which is a nice touch. Or, if you're old school, you can put in your order at the counter. They call your name when your food is ready. My food took a little longer than expected for a fast food type of joint. Drinks (3/5): I had a strawberry milk shake. They're not cheap here, but I love a good milkshake. This one, unfortunately, while a good size, tasted a bit too artificial. Food (3/5): Portillo's is known for their Chicago-style hot dogs and their Italian beef... both Chicago classics. This time around, I tried an interesting menu item... their sausage and Italian beef combo. Rather than getting them separately, you get both of them on a bun. Good in theory, but it didn't work out. The heft of the sausage and Italian beef caused the bread to become soggy. Which then led to beef falling out of the sandwich. A messy predicament. Beyond that, I didn't love either protein. Next time around, I'll stick to what I know and like... the Chicago-style dogs. I've been to a Portillo's in Chicago. It's nice to have several locations in the Valley.

I have continued to go here for my 3/4lb NY Yankee pastrami and corned beef sandwich fix. It's WAY better than Chompies, and I would say it's a good value for what it is. Today I was hungry for my old favorite, but the limited time menu changed my mind. We split the Southwest club with the green chili fried bread, and the deli cowboy. WOW were the good. The club could have used more avocado, but the flavors were balanced and delicious. The green chili added some heat, but even my 85 year old mom liked it. The brisket doesn't need the added bbq sauce. Order it on the side, you'll be glad you did. I've been smoking everything from meat to fruit for 20 years, and I don't put BBQ Sauce on much, unless I screwed up the cook. The meat should stand on it's own. Yes please! My favorite here is the Buffalo Chicken Salad (Carrots, Celery, Banana Peppers, Tomatoes, Croutons, Romaine, Buffalo Chicken paired with a Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing - 320 calories). The Buffalo Chicken Salad used to be a seasonal item but they have since added it permanently to their menu which makes me happy. I keep a container of blue cheese at home to crumble more in when I'm being indulgent. Aw yis! Come here when you need to hit the drive-thru line but want to eat healthy. You'll never regret eating a salad here.

It's frustrating when you ask how frozen it is and they say "as frozen as it can get" and so liquid with a few chunks of ice. I appreciate their honesty at locations where they tell me it's not ready and they can't sell it. I used to eat their salads but no longer eat it. Their salad boxes are large thus making it easy to mix the ingredients. These days, it seems like their saving grace are the breakfast burritos which I still recommend.

Plus it didn't have that nostalgia vibe Tempe's location has. But, I was there for the food. I ordered my norm, which is a Chicago style hot dog along with some cheese fries. When my order was called, I picked it up and sat at a window side table. I tried French fry first and it was Luke warm and limp. I had to take it back and asked for crispier fries. They automatically upgraded my fries to large. The fries were just a little crispier and a little warmer, not hot. Weird! But the fries were tasty! Now my hot dog. It wasn't much warmer than my first batch of fries. Plus it didn't taste as good as the Tempe location. It was still good, but I think if the hot dog was hot it would have been better. My wife suggested maybe it's because their grill is new and isn't seasoned yet! Hmmmm! Maybe! But it was still good. I paid another visit and ordered another Chicago dog and a Fish sandwich.
