My wife and I haven't been out to eat in over three years so when we were on our way home from an earlier project we stopped. we ordered a pizza, thin crust, cheese and pepperoni with mushrooms and basil. along with a jumbo shrimp appetizer. The timing was perfect, the pizza came out just as we were almost through with the shrimp. My date and I split thin crust pepperoni pizza and that was good, the Hakuna Picotta--fettuccine Alfredo masked with strong hints of lemon and "two perfectly baked chicken breast."SMACK. I have been ordering the Big Rig for years and the last few times it just tastes...off. The sauce is runny and bland, doesn't have that same special flavor it used to have. I went to theCamelback location in Phx and had a bad experience due to a rude server. Our food sat out and did not receive a hot or warm pizza. The basil either was cooked with the pizza or appeared to be cooked since our food just sat. It did take a while for the food to come. Also didn't receive any plates for our salad when it finally came with the pizza. I had to track down our server and she told me all the bowls are dirty. Too many things to list to complain about. Orgeno's home of the "angry jazz" and on this night it appears angry server. I mean I get we came in an hour before closing but come on. It was an hour. Had calamari to start. Was good but really nothing beats the cheesy bread and the artichoke dip. My friend and I split the Pablo Picasso salad and the pasta with the chicken and southwestern type of sauce. Sorry can't remember the name. Was all very yummy but our disgruntled waitress left us thirsty. Food is consistent here which I love. The jazz drives me nuts but not enough that I order to go. Would give 0 stars if I could. We called ahead for a big party. The hostess said we would be seated at 5:15/5:30 all together. I was grateful. Received a confirmation to my phone. Yelp confirmed the correct location. My party of 9 got there and the current hostess said she had never heard of us. She had just gotten on shift and no one wrote down our reservation. She then said I called the wrong location, I showed her proof I did not and she said she didn't even know the correct phone number. She then said it would be a 45 minute wait. We waited, then she said she could not seat us all at one table til 8 pm. It was 5:45 almost 6 at this point. We tried to get another reservation at another restaurant, but everywhere was booked with us calling at 6 pm that night. We had family from out of town and had to sit at two separate tables. Eating family style, separately. Ridiculous. The manager was apathetic. Said our reservation didn't happen. Never apologized. Said we couldn't sit outside due to a server calling out sick. We asked to order takeout and sit outside and said that would be, 'incredibly unorthodox' and refused. Never came by our table. Never offered an apology for the mix up. Not even a dessert. Your manager doing temperatures checks with employees who came in when i came in...My guest & I have been here more than 45 mins..One of the employees told me she was here for 3 hrs before his/ her temp was taken... The pasta was penne stuffed with cheese and covered with a meat sauce. Definitely filling and held about 2-3 portions in itself. The Passionfruit Tea was refreshing and comes unsweetened. Tried the Zainy Ziti and the Lady is a Scampi from others in my party and they tasted similar in taste, but differed in spice. Service was great. Pasta is typical of Olive Garden, Maggiano's or the like. Food isn't mind-blowing good, just great in terms of price for proportion. Perhaps the pizza is better?
