Was super excited to try Oregano's after so many years! I was praying it was still good after recommending it highly to my mother and they did not disappoint. The service was a little slow, but this was due to not having enough staff. Our waiter, Freddie, was as attentive as he could be and was very kind. We decided our order of the Numero One-O, which came with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, green pepper, and Wisconsion cheese. Every bite of this pizza was amazing! I loved the balance and blend of meat to vegetables. This will be my go to pizza every time I am here! We also got the parmessian broccoli, which was cooked to perfection and was delicious! Only thing I noticed was that the pizza was a little cold when we got it. Still had tons of flavor and the toppings were fresh and on fire. However, minus one star for the following temperature. Will be back!

Friends, Oregano's on Camelback is a neighborhood favorite!!! The food is always fresh, hot, and fast!! The service is great here, ambiance is lively with old-school jazz music playing overhead!!! I like coming here because the food is always on point and just tastes good. Give it a go friends, you won't be disappointed. Grade: A

Disappointed. I was excited to try Oregano's, I loved the back story, the location was close & the decor looked nice. The waitress recommended the Shrimp Caprese but with Chicken. The food was dry and not very flavorful, I asked for more sauce (garlic butter) but it didn't really help. The garlic bread was delicious though. My bill for this and a glass of water was almost $20. I don't mind paying more for great food, but this was not great. The place was empty, even for 6:00 pm on a Tuesday night, so I'm not the only one that feels this way!

Came here for a team work lunch and it was great. The food was delicious with large portions for the prices they offer. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the place is just cozy. They have some parking spaces on the side and some in the back so parking may depend on how packed they get. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. Love their selection of pastas and they also offer pizza and sandwiches. I really enjoyed the ziti and their garlic bread is great. You really can't go wrong with Oregano's especially the pazookie for dessert so make sure and leave room!

Came to eat some lunch with some friends. The service was honestly not that great. The restaurant was really empty and it felt like it was really hard to get anyone's attention to order, pay, and get refills. Whenever the waitress would come, it felt like she was in a rush to leave only to stand around and chat with coworkers. It was quiet inside the restaurant which was nice. The food was okay. My pasta was cold in some areas, but my friend enjoyed her sandwich. Lastly, I didn't like that the restroom only has one stall, I wanted to wash my hands before eating but the restroom was busy.

Worst pizza I've had in years and that includes dominos lol. Ingredients were piled on a under sauced and under cheesed pizza and I've never in my life heard of a Chicago pizza with the cheese underneath all of the ingredients unless it's a deep dish and this was a thin crust. All of the ingredients were barely cooked as you could tell by the photo way too many mushrooms as well not that that's a bad thing but they weren't cooked so it wasn't good. Proceeded to call the place and got the worst experience ever by some teenage idiot that proceeded to answer the phone and say the name of the establishment and ask how they could help me while they proceeded to talk to someone else in the background for quite some time before getting back to me, overall a very crappy experience I will not be returning to this establishment ever again. I am highly disappointed I gave them two stars because the manager was actually very helpful. His name was Bill the sad part about it is this used to be really decent pizza apparently 2 1/2 years ago they started putting the ingredients on top of the cheese as I've experienced when ordering a slice from them they do this, but they never did it to the whole pizza that's why I stopped ordering slices with ingredients when you pick your pizza up all of the ingredients should not fall off onto your freaking plate. do better Oregano's or face going out of business.UPDATE: I live 1/2 of a mile from the establishment four days ago. Bill told me he was mailing me a gift card that day I know for a fact, it does not take this many days to receive mail from three blocks away in central Phoenix that being said if this changes I will update the review again and to the response of the owner not looking for new locations. I'm just looking for Chicago style pizza, which never has a thin crust with ingredients on top of the cheese. It was merely that simple you guys used to do it right you no longer do and yes, I will also agree that your salads are wonderful

There was a dead fly in our salad and we informed one of the waitresses. She advised us that she would tell our server who we had not seen in a while. We see him seat a few tables and then make a few beverages and then he came over and very nonchalantly say, "I hear there was a bug in your food?" We have him take all the food and he comes back about 15mins later with the check. For it to be lunch time, it was not busy at all in the restaurant. Nor did the manager ever come over to address the situation. Instead, as we are leaving, he says, "thanks everybody, come again" never again! 0/10

This was my first time here and wasn't sure what to expect but let me tell you! I will be coming back!!! First, I was hesitant because of the parking but quickly realized there was additional parking so that relieved me. Next, when we walked in, I immediately smelled delicious aromas which made me even more hungry. The host was so friendly and asked where we wanted to sit and once seated & handed us menus, he let us know our waiter would be with us shortly. Our waiter arrived with a smile and introduced himself as Neal. The names of the dishes on the menu are clever!!! I was giggling at the names and the creativity. I did order the Zani Ziti and when it got to the table!?!! DROOL!!!! And then Neal asked if I would like Parmesan cheese, so I said sure, thinking he was gonna sprinkle powder on my pasta. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! FRESH SHREDDED CHEESE!!! If you haven't been here before, please visit!!! I will be returning!!!

Can I make a reservation in advance or is there no reservations?

Hi and thanks for your question. Oregano's does not take reservations, however, if you use the Yelp Waitlist, you can add your party to it with a quoted time. Hope that helps! Look forward to seeing you.

I am looking to use Oregano's for wedding catering. Is there an option to have someone stay and manage the buffet, like switching out empty trays and taking care of trash?

Hi Kristina! Thanks for your question. I would direct you to our Catering department where they can arrange our menu and pricing for your potential needs. https://oreganos.com/catering/…

Are you guys doing dine in?

Good day Emily! Yes, we do have the Dine In option at all of our restaurants located in Arizona. Hope to see you soon!

The green has pistachios and fresh arugula on it, I thought the overall flavor was too sweet and the pistachios weren't crush enough. The Phoenix was good, very honey forward and overall the flavor didn't stick out to me. The di Parma was a cheese pizza with procuttio and ricotta, overall a little plain to me. I think they all would've tasted better hot, but I understand that's not super realistic for a slice shop. For our second order we got the vodka sauce slice, which was for sure my favorite. I won't add to my previous review regarding the food, as it is still just as fantastic. And while the old location had its charm (mainly that it was more intimate and a bit quieter), the new location is overall an immense improvement. First of all, it is much larger, modern, and very tastefully decorated without losing as much of the intimacy as they could keep. For instance, the decor on the walls makes you feel like you are somewhat at home, with photos of the Spinato family and other tasteful finishes. Everything is comfortable without being too casual or formal. It's definitely more open concept now, and bar-lovers will appreciate the full bar, as the old location only had a tiny one. The covered patio area is much nicer, and with an eastern exposure, it should bake in the sun less than the old place's western exposure for most of their operating hours. We were seated at a half-booth, and the restaurant was very crowded because it was their first Friday night at this location. Nonetheless, we arrived early enough to be seated without a wait. I will say that the food took a very long time to arrive--40 minutes or more--but I'm chalking that up to the crowd and growing pains at the new location. Our server recognized us, welcomed us to the new place, and was as friendly as usual, though he didn't have much time for chat-chat with how busy they were. Lil Capo Pizzeria 5.0/5 The Closest Thing to New York…read morePizza I've Found in Arizona Growing up in Upstate New York, I admittedly have high standards when it comes to pizza. After moving to Arizona in 2007, I've spent years searching for a slice that genuinely reminds me of home. While there are plenty of decent pizza spots throughout the Valley, very few capture that authentic New York style. Lil Capo Pizzeria absolutely does! Ironically, I first discovered Lil Capo after an Arizona Cardinals game. Like many people, I wasn't interested in paying stadium prices for mediocre food, so I jumped on Yelp looking for something nearby. Lil Capo had outstanding reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because it's now my benchmark for New York-style pizza in Arizona. The first thing that stood out was the crust. This is exactly what a New York slice should be--thin, crispy on the bottom, slightly chewy inside, sturdy enough to fold, and never overloaded with grease. So many places think "New York style" simply means making a large slice. Lil Capo understands it's really about the balance of crust, sauce, cheese, and texture. Every bite reminded me why I miss pizza back east. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, the cheese is perfectly proportioned, and everything tastes fresh without trying to reinvent what already works. Sometimes simplicity executed well is the hardest thing to accomplish. Pizza: 5/5 Service was equally impressive. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. After selecting our slices, they quickly reheated them to perfection and had them on our table within minutes. It's exactly what you want from a neighborhood pizzeria--fast, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable. Service: 5/5 I also appreciated the atmosphere. Lil Capo isn't trying to be flashy or trendy. Instead, it has that classic neighborhood pizzeria feel where the focus stays exactly where it should--on making outstanding pizza. It's casual, comfortable, family-friendly, and somewhere you could easily become a regular. The pricing is another pleasant surprise. Considering the quality of the pizza and the generous slice sizes, I found everything to be very fairly priced. Overall Finding authentic New York-style pizza in Arizona has been surprisingly difficult over the years, but Lil Capo delivers exactly what I've been searching for. Authentic New York-style crust Excellent sauce-to-cheese ratio Minimal grease Friendly, efficient service Fair prices Comfortable neighborhood atmosphere I've eaten pizza throughout New York my entire life, and Lil Capo remains the closest I've found to the real thing anywhere in Arizona. Whenever I'm on the west side of the Valley--or heading to or from a Cardinals game--I find myself looking for an excuse to stop in. Next time, I'm skipping the slices and ordering an entire pie. If you're a fellow New Yorker living in Arizona and craving a slice that tastes like home, Lil Capo should be at the top of your list.
