Plenty of seating. Interior is cute. They also have a small outdoor seating area. The place looks very clean and nice. I like that they have booth seating as well. Meat taste like it was frozen and the microwaved and then cooked, but noodles taste like cooked on the spot. Broth was good as well. The staff didn't no speak much English. I asked if the noodles were Hong Kong style cheese baked noodles. But I didn't order it because she didn't understand and we couldn't communicate. I ended up ordering something else since if the noodles didn't have cheese, I wouldn't have eaten it. My friend ended up getting the noodle and it was the HK cheese bake I asked about. But the noodles I ordered were delicious as well. Just unfortunate that there was a language barrier.

The ambiance is very welcoming and cozy. They have songs playing in the background which gives a nice vibe. The place is truly a hidden gem.We ordered several dim sum dishes plus wonton soup and Fried Rice with Beef and Eggs. Everything was delicious but I would definitely recommend getting their fried rice as a main dish since its the best I've ever had!We will be back again for sure!

The food here was very deliciously yummy! You can feel that the atmosphere here is very cozy. For dine-in, you can sit inside, and they also have tables out door! The staff are very kind and friendly! Their services are great! They have a TV where you can watch (mostly Chinese shows) if you are bored while waiting. They have music in the background (Chinese songs). The songs are really lovely! If you look around, you will see a beautiful display of things where you can take pictures of. Such as paintings to old telephones! Great place, which I recommend!

Was pretty good. I only got dim sum but both came out hot and fresh! Service was pretty standard for a Chinatown restaurant. And Ambiance is as cute as it can be. Very casual Asian cafe/coffee shop style.

Tasty hand made dumplings! Interesting new twist on old favorites! The chef plays guitar and the waitress the piano!

The food was very yummy. The only downside was that it took a while for the food to come. The server was very nice and helpful.

Paper plates, annoyed rude waitstaff, gloppy pad-tai, tasteless dumplings. How did this place get good rating??? This place is a 1* at best.

I eyed the low star rating with some trepidation, because many of the criticism was coming from Cantonese people who know what they're talking about and as far as I could tell, judging the place plainly and not on an unreasonably strict curve. Perhaps because my expectations were level set and because the 3 items I had were decent, my normally critical self is going to round up what I would consider a 3.5 star experience to 4 stars. My partner and I biked here on our fancy bikes that we didn't feel comfortable locking outside, and they very kindly allowed us to keep our bikes in the front area. Some tables were occupied, but it was pretty chill on the Saturday afternoon I visited so this might be why they were so relaxed about it. We got the horlick french toast, rice noodles with fish balls, and HK milk tea. It's true that I'm used to Manhattan and north Brooklyn prices but wow things were shockingly cheap on this menu. I didn't expect the best food but the horlick french toast and HK milk tea were particularly good. I think the fish balls and noodles tasted like they were either rehydrated or defrosted and absolutely not made fresh, but again I think this dish was like 5 or 6 bucks? So I'm fine with a little reheated noodle action. What I really came here was for the ambience, and even the haters in the reviews can't deny this place is cute. If I were here with a group I would love to sit in one of their plush booths. They didn't rush us at all and didn't mind me walking around taking dozens of videos. I'd recommend a visit!

After…read moregiving them some time for improvements, I decided to give them a chance, and I'm glad I did! The decor is beautiful. I haven't been back to HK since I was 1, but I've been told that the decor is very reminiscent of HK, including the plates and bowls. The food portions are huge compared to what I've seen them serving back when they first opened, based on reviews online. I really like that they are willing to improve themselves. Food itself is pretty solid - I haven't had a rice dish where I felt like I would never order again. Maybe one negative is the fried chicken wings that I recently got, it had a thick layer of batter on them compared to the first time I got them. The batter also seems to be different, similar to the sweet potato starch batter used for popcorn chicken. They have a new HK-style stinky tofu on the menu, which was good, but not as stinky as what I've tried in Taiwan. They also mix them into a salty, spicy sauce, which may be a bit too salty and spicy for people with milder tastes. I would try asking them to put the sauce on the side next time. The service is not the best, but also not the worst. The male waiter doesn't really ever smile, but he will get you what you need when you ask for it. They also never refill your tea or water unless you ask. It's not a make-or-break for me if the food is good, though! I think Chun is one of the better HK cha chaan tengs in the area, with beautiful decor. The initial negative reviews when they first opened probably gave them a slower start, but they're slowly getting more popular now. I wish they promoted themselves on social media because their decor is almost like an attraction that would bring in the younger generation, but I also kinda want to keep this as my own hidden gem!

Back to my favorite cha chaan teng in NYC for their $8.25 breakfast set!…read more I usually come to High Five for their set meals (常餐), but this time I finally got up early enough for their breakfast sets lol. The breakfast is cheaper but also comes in a smaller portion, which I think it's still enough. Each noodle set comes with eggs of your choice, butter toast and hot drink. Their Hong Kong style milk tea and iced lemon tea taste super authentic, exactly like what I grew up having in HK. Tipping is also appreciated but not required! *Satay Beef over Vermicelli 沙嗲牛肉米粉 ** *Spiced Minced Pork over Noodle 五香肉丁公仔麵 ** *Macaroni Noodle Soup with Ham 火腿通粉 They make the 五香肉丁 in house, so it's already miles better than the canned ones. And I get their satay beef every time because this is the BEST I've had in NYC! I've been let down by so many spots, but this one tastes exactly like the kind I grew up with. Savory, peanut-y, and sooo good with instant noodles or vermicelli. *HK Style French Toast 一口西多士 $6 * Almost every table ordered the french toast and now I get why. Since it's cut into cubes, you get extra crispy edges in every bite. The center was filled with peanut butter. Crunchy, buttery, and sooo nostalgic. *HK Street Style Shu Mai 魚肉燒賣 $4.5 One of my favorite HK street snacks, and it's actually hard to find fish paste shumai in NYC. These are bouncy and perfect with a drizzle of sweet soy sauce. It's definitely pricier than what you'd get in HK, but it hit the craving.

Tomato beef macaroni: lacked flavor, beef was a weird texture. Baked rice: smothered with a layer of sauce and cheese (you would think is a good thing?) until you see the raw vegetables mixed in with it. If you get seated by the wall, know that you'll have to interrupt the table next to you to get out. Additionally, when the table next to us left and a new customer walked in, she was seated to THAT table right away (no one came to even wipe the seats or table) with the rice crumbs and milk tea splatters left on that table! Foul. I'm never coming back. What a waste of calories.

It did take about 25 minutes from when I placed the order for the food to be ready for pick up but they seemed pretty busy from the number of take out orders. I got the double triple hungry beast feast which I thought I could easily finish so to double down on my mis-calculation I also ordered the snack combo. I ended up eating about half of the snack combo and a third of the hungry beast feast. The feast comes in a giant container with 5 different menu items that are each delicious on their own but it is great to have options. The feast can easily feed two people and is really worth it. Will definitely patron again and try their other items.

It is rich in body and smooth in texture. However, the aroma of the tea was slight covered by the milk choice. Typically, HK milk tea usually comes with evaporated milks or condensed milk by request. Using regular milk will covered the aroma of the tea and pushed the texture to a smoother but lost its taste of the traditional HK Milk Tea favor. This is still good for a regular craving though. I also tried this French Toast with Cream of Mushroom. The French Toast in HK should be paired with Syrup and butter with jam/peanut butter within the toast. This one at Like Cafe was fusion with Cream of Mushroom and cheese inside the toast. It made this devilish afternoon tea item a savory meal itself. It's amazing. I cannot stop saying "CS" (Crazy in Cantonese) after trying the first bite. I recommend to try it with Iced Tea with lemon if you are a small eater. Overall, This is an awesome cafe you can try when you come to Brooklyn. Thanks for satisfying my Hong Kongers Stomach. Burn Apetito Calvin

This storefront used to be Yozi's, which looks almost the same now. It is bright and welcoming, seating is open, and felt spacious. The service was decent, and the food came out relatively fast. For appetizers, I got the salt and pepper squid. For $6.50, I really can't expect much in terms of portion sizes, but I was quite disappointed at how overcooked it was. It was too dark to be golden brown and was very dry and chewy. Each piece of squid was essentially more than $1 each. I would not get this again. The club sandwich was decent, but it's hard to mess up a simple sandwich. For entrees, we got the Baked Curry Chicken Cutlet Rice and the Baked Portuguese Chicken Cutlet Rice. Both were actually pretty good, and portions were good, although I will say the curry one has a stronger flavor. The Portuguese sauce was very coconutty and milder in flavor. The chicken cutlets were seasoned well and were tender. I also love that parts of the egg fried rice base were a bit crispy, similar to the bottom of a claypot rice, but not as tough on the teeth. The rice dishes were better than expected, and the prices weren't that bad. I'd come back to try some of their other things while keeping in mind not to order the squid again! They're also opened til 10, so it's a great spot for a later dinner when everything else is closed.

Finally... a HK cafe closer to the train! And competition is welcome…read more I think this is owned by the same mgmt with another location by 18th Avenue, across from JMart. And feels very similar to what used to be the "Legend's steakhouse"... well this spot took over the defunct Yozi Noodle that offered dry pot (RIP), ramen, dumplings... sad it's gone, I actually enjoyed their dry pot. Legend Cafe Express has 2 floors... the lower floor is roomy, booth seatings and banquette seatings. Bright & welcoming. Still kind of new, probably needs time to adjust on their food items... we tried their HK milk tea (hot is better than the cold version), and the Baked chicken cutlet over spaghetti (not good... the chicken was rubbery... my son didn't finish) and also a baked curry oxtail over fried rice (the rice was crispy but the curry flavor wasn't good, tasted powdery). The company sando was good and would get again. Overall, feels like they need time to adjust their flavoring and get to the same standard as a real HK cafe style eatery. We would try again.
