Very pleased with my Shellac manicure. They warmly welcomed me in without an appointment. This was my first time and I will come again.

Walked in and asked for a pedi. Was shown to a chair immediately and proceeded to get the best pedi I've had in years! The staff are friendly and polite, and they had 3 more walk ins while I was there. I'm looking forward to coming back again. read more

This salon proves you can be gentle AND thorough at the same time. This was the best pedicure I've ever had. He was so detailed and thorough, the tools came from a sterilized/sanitized bag, and it was so relaxing. They make sure you are comfortable and relaxed the entire time. Other salons make it seem like they just want to get through clients as fast as they can, but this place give you high quality work with attention to detail! The idea nail spot. Clean, organized, licensing on the wall and great service. The nail technicians were polite and took their time with clients. The tools were clean and sanitized. I've been going here for years. I've tried other nail salons when I didn't live near Orchid and always found myself back to Orchid! It's hard to find a good consistent nail salon! The employees are always kind and do a great job. I've never had bad looking nails or a bad experience here! They're great about taking walk-ins and last minute appointments too. The prices are also extremely fair! Overall, I just love this nail salon! read more

They did really really good on my nails!! I got a set of acrylics and did shellac on top with. French manicure. I don't get the fake nails often but it sure was a treat. The only downside was they didn't out any lotion or oil on my hands and every single girl next to me got some on their hands and slight massage... my hands are still really dry because of soaking my hands in the acetone, I just wished for some lotion. This place is fairly new, but ever since they've been open I wouldn't go anywhere else. You cannot beat the quality of their work!! All the technicians do an excellent job. Pedicures- I was highly surprised at the time and effort put into each pedicure. Usually other places and quick in/out but this place, each technician took their time and massaged legs/feet very well. Well worth the cost!! Shellac manicure- they have a very large selection of color and I'm not sure what they do but shellac here lasts a lot longer! I've been to other salons to get the shellac orchid put on removed and even other locations (ruby nails in Grandville) are surprised at the quality and how well the polish is on! I went to have a manicure here last week for an Anniversary dinner because the girl I had brought my daughter to was amazing. But I had an older lady who obviously did not want to work she was very rude and slapped my hand and said u relax she could not communicate with me and was very rough with my cuticles and when she filed my nails. I would never return to her she was so rude and made my experience terrible. read more

ABSOLUTE WORST WORST WORST SERVICE and PEDI I've EVER had and I've had many. I am truly SHOCKED AT THE EXTREMELY LOW LEVEL OF SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM. Truly- Unbelievable, wow. I was really looking forward to this and we chose what appeared to be a more "high end" place. I just had extensive kidney surgery, it's my first time out in 3 months. I told that to the woman doing my "pedi" THREE times and asked her to be careful. She never even acknowledged me in any way, not once during the whole ordeal. (My friend noticed it too, and mentioned later she not even a bit of eye contact the entire time.) Instead she refused to help me when the chair remote malfunctioned, just ignored me altogether. Another worker finally dropped his client to fix the broken thing. But the woman quite literally removed the chair remote from my hands without even saying a thing and forced the chair forward once saying she has to have me closer. It hurt to sit that way and clearly I was uncomfortable but she never noticed or cared. In fact she never even made one attempt at friendliness. The pedi was super fast, super uncomfortable and though I try to be mindful of the Asian accent typically encountered in an Asian run business I literally had to ask her to repeat herself many, many, times but she made NO attempt to help me to understand the orders she barked at me. She'd just grab my leg and turn it where she apparently wanted it to go. Ouch! This woman was not just unfamiliar with English, that I can accept. She was just plain EXTREMELY, chattering on in Chinese (I'm assuming.) though I clearly indicated I did not know what she was saying to me. Then she just wiped my feet and walked away, never to speak to me again. I had to ask the worker nearest if I was finished and what to do next. He walked me to the drying station and that is where I sat for 45 minutes. NOT ONE TIME DID A SINGLE PERSON EVEN SPEAK TO ME. I waited for my friend to finish and eventually removed the foam flip flops myself, assuming they would at least approach me for payment. Nope, instead the man doing my friend's nails asked her if she was paying for me! What??? So I just got up and started to walk out behind my friend assuming the pedi was not being charged since it was never even a full pedi, as I had been left unattended. That is when the woman appearing in charge at the register finally approached me as if I were even there as a customer. When I began to question the price and express my unhappiness with the lack of full service she told me to sit back into a pedi chair (she pointed to one in front of the entire place) so they COULD REMOVE MY POLISH since "I didn't wanna pay". So I gladly complied and as the man began removing my polish he repeatedly questioned me to which I answered. THEN the cashier in charge began shouting a cross the store interrupting the public interrogation I was responding to do that I had to respond to her as well! At one point she stated from across the room that the man was to "finish and then escort me out". To which I firmly stated I do not need escorting. I can open a door myself and if he for not hurry up and remove this polish I was leaving! Unbelievable! Even if a customer is hostile and rude (which I wasn't but I was livid!) I have never seen an establishment so poorly run and a customer so poorly treated. The service was shoddy, one quick swipe with the nail buffer, quick heel once over, even my friend assumed I did not receive a full pedi as quick as it was! This is my favorite spot to go for a mani pedi! The prices are great and the staff is professional and courteous. I always leave here feeling great about my nails and how they look. I can understand why there's always a steady stream of people coming in and out. I call ahead for an appointment so I never have to wait but the walk ins seem to get their time in quickly as well. read more
