I've been coming here for probably at least 5 years. This is by far the best nail place! Jackson and everyone else that works there really do care about everyone that comes in!! I've been going here for almost a year and I can't say enough good about it. I get a dip manicure here every three weeks and it almost always entirely lasts through then minus a few little chips near the very end! Jackson is wonderful and does a FABULOUS job. All the other ladies are great too and are so nice. It's a hidden gem in the Creston neighborhood. The people here are very nice however I would say I had a poor experience and that stinks as their price and location are great for me. To start, in removing my dip I received multiple nicks and one big cut from the drill. Then there was confusion over what shape I wanted - although I kept repeating I wanted to keep the shape I came in with (almond.) I was told the reason why they didn't shape my nail to an almond initially was because my nail was too weak (I have never heard this before and it felt like a CYA.) My appointment for dip removal and application was about 2 hours. Which felt like a lot as I didn't get anything other than a single color. The worst part IMO - I could get over the rest - is how poorly my manicure lasted. After not even 2 weeks the dip on my pointer finger started lifting and multiple nails were chipped at the tip. First time in! My experience tonight after work was truly pleasant. I needed to get the DIP off my nails. I decided I wanted less upkeep and simply wanted a traditional mani with regular nail polish. I love the look of DIP but only get it once in a while because every time I get it removed my nails are overly filed. I mentioned to my nail tech I would appreciate it if she was gentle. BOY WAS SHE! she really took her time and my nails feel great. I also love how clean my traditional polish came out. I will definitely be returning. read more

Good place for mens manicure, most places rush through, but they seem to take it seriously, which in my experience is not always the case.

I've been here a handful of times now to get dip nails and can honestly say I love it. The true test was my most recent set that I got about a month ago. They've grown out to that annoying length where they NEED to come off coz everything is getting caught in them. I attended a 4 day aircraft firefighter rescue class and not a single nail chipped or came off. Wow. I'm shook. I'll be back. read more

I went to get a full set of acrylics with gel and it was a horrible experience..Whoever the lady is that works closest to the back door of the business is definitely not a nail tech...Crooked nails, extra thick acrylic application, including on my nail beds...Please do not waste your time nor money at this place. Worst pedicure ever! Nails cut crooked, took off part of my big toenail on the side. Hope I don't get an ingrown nail. The Polish was gunky and she painted the skin all around my nails. It looks terrible. Now I have to remove the Polish and do it myself. It looks like a child painted my nails. This was after I had her fix them. read more

I am somewhat torn on writing this review. I called to make an appt for my sister & I to get pedicure's on her birthday. I called and asked if they had a 10:00 am available & was told no, only 11:30. So I called my sister to see if that worked for her and then called the salon back. This time when I called the guy told me they had a 9:30 available. Uhm, ok. 5 minutes later....weird but I took it. So we arrive for our appt and nobody else is there yet. They show us to our chairs next to each other and get us drinks - cans of soda. The place seemed really clean and a lady was even going around cleaning while we were there so that made me happy. The chairs were really nice, love the massage. I am pretty sure the girl who did my pedi didn't speak any English really. Most of the time when I talked she would look at the guy doing my sisters pedi so he could tell her what I said. I said I didn't want a color but the french tips - clear with white tips. I have pink with white tips. Two different color pinks too because one foot got an extra coat. We had the deluxe pedicure so they do a bit of massaging on your leg - to be honest they way she dug her knuckles into my calves was quite painful, not enjoyable. When I made the appt I stated that I had a Groupon and the guy said "yeah ok" and hung up. When I went to pay and I gave the lady my Groupon she said "Oh, you have a Groupon" and sounded a little disappointed about it and starts speaking to a guy there in her native language. So I give a tip, say thank you and walk through the door. As I get through the door she calls me back to tell me it is $5 extra for white tips. Now I am fine with that but I think you need to make that known when someone asks for it. I also felt like she was just mad about the Groupon so she threw on an extra charge. Look, I really want to love this salon. I live nearby, it's easy to get into, and is quite clean (although the chemical aromas are very intense). The problem is the technique and the attitude towards asking for what I want. I have a cosmetology license, although I do not do nails anymore. I have been trained on Shellac. I know that you are not supposed to soak nails in water before doing Shellac. The nails bloat with water and then when they shrink the polish chips. I also have very thin nails so I take collagen and biotin to make them thicker. I do not want my nails sanded with an electric sander. Why on earth they want to do that on natural nails without shellac on them yet, I will never understand. I had a Shellac manicure here and it really ruined my nails. I had to go back the next day because when I got home I realized that three nails were not shiny and they were all a little sticky. Ok. But then while on my little trip up north, they started chipping. So then I soaked them all down myself at home (because I know they will just sand them again with that electric devil tool). I was very careful to gently scrape off the polish after soaking repeatedly. What I was left with were thin, weak nails. I clipped them shorter and painted with Vinyl Lux (the mini shellac you can do without a lamp at home). They all started tearing right down to the quick a few days later. I now have extremely painful, short nails. The worst part about this is that I ask very kindly to not soak, to not sand (use a mild buffer on natural nails!!), to let me file them myself before I come in, etc. I am met with meanness and I just can't understand why. I am trying to preserve my nails, and they are so careless and rude. Go somewhere else. read more

Was in town and wanted to enjoy a nice relaxing mani/pedi. But I ended up getting one of the worst manicures and pedicures in my life. The lady doing my no chip probably spent 2 minutes on my nails. I even asked if she was in a hurry and to slow down. She didn't clean up around the cuticles and she used an electric nail file to file down my nails. I don't have acrylic nails. Why the heck would she use that? She didn't even put on a bonding agent prior to the no chip. She also only used one coat. A cheap salon and one the laziest nail techs I even encountered. $53 total for a trash service. How this place is still open is beyond me. read more

I love this place! I live nearby so one day I thought if try it and I go nowhere else. The 3 people who work here are so welcoming and got to know me. I get gel manicure and if I don't care if they grow out it can last me weeks. I've gotten pedicures there too and have been pleased. I've attached a pic of my latest manicure, love this nail polish! This was the worst place I have ever gone to get my nails done. I have been to many different nail salons in Michigan and have been getting acrylics since I was a freshman in high school. The amount of acrylic on my nail far to thick and the nail tech just kept adding more and more. The nail polish I had picked out wasn't the right consistency so the tech added something to the bottle to help get the polish out. She then put 3 coats of the polish on before she finished with a top coat. The second my nails started to dry under the light they started to bubble. I did not have time to get them fixed that day so I left very angry with how my nails turned out. I then went to a different salon a few days later to fix my nails. The nail tech at this salon spent 2 hours filing off some of the acrylic from my nails so they would look more natural. She also cleaned up the over hang of acrylic that I had on the sides of my nails. The other nail salon I wet to was great but I will not be coming back here again. read more

Worst pedicure of my life! I also bought a Groupon and was very excited to try a new place. The groupon was rip off because I had to pay extra for polish etc! The massage was not really a massage at all did not feel good and the lady cut me to the point where I was bleeding and she said and did nothing she didn't care! The pedicure was not professional and the paint looked like a five year old's work! Upon leaving I left a two dollar tip and the guy working the counter stopped me and wouldn't let me leave the place because I did not give a big enough tip!!! According to Groupon it states that Groupon Customer are supposed to leave a certain percentage gratuity and I did not leave enough! The service sucked I was so disappointed and treated poorly! I tip based on service and they were lucky to even get a tip at all! But I was so shocked that the guy wouldn't let me leave and asked for more money so I gave it to him and go out of there!!
