Been to the salon a few times already before I review. Really great staff, clean salon with lots of seating and availability. The owner and husband are super sweet and it's a family owned and run practice which I love. The quality of work is exceptional, and even when I broke a nail, they allowed me to come in for a quick fix at no charge. They definitely do intricate designs and are currently building up their portfolio of pictures on their Instagram. I get acrylic overlay fills with gel manicure for about $50-$70 depending on the degree of design. Very reasonable prices as compared to other local nail salons in the area. Happy to have found a new spot. read more

Do not recommend. The nail tech acted like it was a bother I was there. She did not soak the nails. She rushed through, I could have done just as well at home. Went to the drying area, which did not work. She turned on a small fan that worked for less than a minute. I asked for another dryer, she huffed saying there isn't one, just sit there for 20 minutes and they will dry. read more

This was my first time going to this place and it was just hostile I don't know why, I went it showed her what I wanted and she just started doing my nails and then one of my fingers were kind of crooked and I told her about it and she told me if I like the shape and it didn't have to do with the crooked nail and I just felt lowkey attacked. I don't know seemed like she rushed me out, I loved my set though. The second time going there it was a guy doing my whole set but when he used one of his tools to drill my nails down he ke-t cutting me so next time I'll tell them to be more gentle but then the gurl did my designs and she did good. I'd give this a solid "meh" all around. Decent tho not great mani-pedi - had to do some additional cleanup when I got home, I had to point out where one nail was still uneven, etc. They had about 4 different levels of pedicures, but no explanation of the difference (so you lost me on the upsell there...) I just moved from Chicago and there were a ton of cheap places there that did a bang-up job, for the same or LESS price than what I'm finding in MI - kinda surprised. After this visit, I think I'll check out some of the other places in the 'hood. read more

I had my nails done there 3 times. This last time I chose a color and within 2 days it was faded to a horrible orange shade. The owner said some times the colors for the dips can change. I politely asked for a refund and was told no. We will redo them. I said can you promise the color won't change again? She said no, some do- I said that is exactly the reason I need a refund. I have to knock it down a notch. The girl I was going to was amazing and paid such great attention to detail, not to mention was the friendliest nail tech I have ever had. Sadly, Emmy is not working their anymore and I do not feel like she can be replaced. A friend and I went once since she left, and neither one of us were particularly thrilled with our rushed manicures. They also tried to bully my friend into getting shellac and scoffed when she requested a regular mani. I can see why there are such a broad range of reviews for this place. I truly dislike when a salon says yes we can get you in and then you wait forever! But anyways to the best part; MY NAILS!! I came from having an awful, awful, awful experience at another salon. My acrylics were done a week ago and he asked if this was my 3rd or 4th fill. It was bad. He talked me through what he could do, and made sure I understood. He was patient when I asked questions and helped me color match for a shellac that I wanted. The price was amazing and my nails look phenomenal! When you look good you feel good! This place is amazing!! I feel so sad that I don't live here to actually come all the time! Compared to the nail places in Vegas, the person who was doing my nails was actually having a conversation with me and not with her coworkers! To me that's a huge big deal! She took such good care of me and really took her time to make sure my nails looked how I wanted them to look! I work in a medical field and asked for short nails and she have me exactly what I wanted! I've never had such an amazing experience like I did when I came here! I highly recommend this place! There are like two nice people that work there. My friend was getting her nails done and she had been there two weeks before to get her nails done which everything was fine then, but then this guy was telling her that person that was old and that she needs a new one and all this crazy stuff. Then he's stabbing at her nails in like making her bleed so that was crazy. And I had got my nails done also and I've had them done for about a week now and they're already popping off and breaking so I probably will not be going here anymore. read more

Wasn't impressed at all. The staff were friendly, but other than that, nothing really special about this place. I got a shellac, and the nail polish started peeling off a couple days later. I gave them another chance and went and got it done again (less than a week later), but the same thing happened. I've had shellac before and it stayed on forever, in fact I couldn't remove it myself. This place used to be the best local (quick) salon. Stopped in for a mani pedi before business travel. Had a shellac manicure..the woman gave me a bowl of acetone to soak in on my lap while doing pedicure. Every time she needed me to lift my leg, acetone spilled on me (ruined pants). She was irritated when I wanted it addressed. Pedicure was mediocre at best and the new shellac manicure? SUCKED. She never did the 'last step ' to set the color/shellac before moving on to the hand massage. The oil screwed the color...sitting at the airport the next morning with terrible looking nails on my way to a business meeting, I called them and they just made an excuse. Asked for the manager to call me and I never got a message or anything. I spent over $60 for the worst service, outcome and help ever. Did I mention the pants were ruined from acetone 'soak'. p.s. They also tried to use the 'cheese grater' on my feet, when I said no (um..illegal) she pulled out an old worn down pumice, ran it over my feet twice and moved forward. Can't wait to tell my friend at the state. Next up: back to places that speak fluent English and actually care what their customers think. read more

Q has done my nails since he opened his doors. Prior to walking in this place, I had been to a number of different salons in Grand Rapids and there have been none that did such a nice job! I think I have become very spoiled with his style and perfection because I recently moved out of town and I'm having a very difficult time finding someone to live up to the standards he has set! I get pink and white acrylic nails with gel overlay and they always look fantastic and they last 2 to 3 weeks each time.... and I'm not gentle on them at all. As they grow out there is no ridge to show where the acrylic and real nail meet nor is there any discoloring of the products he uses. I always feel like I received a great set of nails when I walk out of his place. A BIG plus that I feel this place has is there is no language barrier. Q is the owner and was born and raised in West Michigan. Have you ever walked in a place and had difficulty communicating with the staff and feel uncertain if they understand what you are asking for? That won't happen here and was one of the first things that I noticed and appreciated! This place a LOT going for it - LOCATION, PRICE, QUALITY, ATMOSPHERE and a SUPER FRIENDLY place to enjoy a little pampering! The ONLY downside for me is that I no longer live or work in a location where I am able to take advantage of this salon. I will miss coming here for sure!!! read more

Stopped in Friday evening with my mom and even though all the chairs were empty they said they had a party coming in and we would need to make a reservation. The chemical smell in the air was strong and made me feel a little sick but we went ahead and made a reservation for the following day. Got there a few minutes early and after waiting until a couple minutes after our start time, they said they could take one of us back. I let my mom go first. 30 minutes later they were finally ready for me. Why did they even bother booking reservations if they weren't going to follow them? Yikes.... my opinion has changed! I arrived and they were very busy so instead I scheduled an appt for later in the evening and returned. It took 20 minutes to do a shellac manicure. She rushed through and didn't give any attention to details. My nails look completely uneven. Some nails are much darker than others because the polish was applied unevenly. I also was cut twice with cuticle scissors that lead to bleeding and watched as the cap was placed back on them and returned to the drawer with no cleaning!!! Sorry I won't return. read more

Been here a few times and consistently good service and gel mani that lasts 2 weeks. Good selection of colors and many levels of pedicure services. Not the most luxurious place but good prices and quick but not rushed service. I drive 45 min to come here - no place near me that is as reliable and is open late. Will keep coming back! read more
