I recently got my acrylic nails take off and manicure. I wasn't happy with the lady who did my nails. For taking off acrylic nails, she ripped off my acrylic nails which was really painful. Two of my nails were bleeding and one was cut deeply into my skin and the shape is obviously not straight . She told me it should be good in an hour. For manicure, she massaged my hands which was okay. After she applied polish on my nails, she asked me go to a place for drying out my nails and didn't even say for how long or let me know when it's done. My sister got pedicure with her before as well. The same person cut my sister's toe nail deeply into her skin and she was bleeding too. It took days for her to heal her toe nail. She didn't have a good experience with her as well. The lady who did our nails, I believe she goes by Minnie. However, a lady's name Meiko is super nice and kind. My sister got her manicure done with Meiko this time and her nails looked great! I would recommend go with Meiko and NOT with Minnie! I would give 5 stars if it was for Meiko. ALWAYS ask for the total cost of services before they do anything! I went in wanting a pedicure (about $32) and acrylics (about $55) for my wedding but my total came to $127. They decided to use my natural nails, but then did all these add ons without telling me how much it was going to be. When calling and asking for a breakdown of my bill, she told me that I should've asked and didn't apologize. Instead, business should be upfront with the customer and inform her of how much a service will cost before doing it and then blaming the customer. Since there are no prices online, take that as a bad sign! They didn't do a bad job, but it was not worth $127 and they were not upfront. read more

I don't usually share bad reviews and I feel super horrible doing this bc the first worker was super nice but I'm really upset with my mani/pedi I got done today. First I got my pedi done and they are so choppy. Not trimmed well at all/not even. Chipping and it looks like I could've painted this myself. The black part on my toe? Why not put another coat? Next they started my dip mani and I can tell the lady was super hesitant. They weren't busy but they only had 4 workers so the main worker was like "you can do them" she started and it was just so messy and I know usually dip can be messy, but this was absurd. Powder everywhere. The worker knew she needed help and asked Niko to finish the job while Niko was with another client. The lady helped another person while I sat there and waited for 35 minutes with powdered/messy hands. Finally Niko finished the job and kept shaking her head, knowing it was messed up. She tried to fix them but I can't help but be so sad with how they turned out. She told the lady "You put too much" under her breath like she didn't want me to hear. Niko wouldn't even look at me. Didn't acknowledge me bc she was so upset about the mess up. I have a wedding Saturday and I could go to another nail salon but I'm a new mom and it's so hard leaving my infant away. I finally got a few hours out and I'm so sad with this "outing". Also, 4 clients that came in AFTER me for pedi/mani shellac were done before me. I'm not upset they messed up my nails, I'm upset they had me pay full price. 75$ for this? At least give a discount for these errors. I was there for 3 hours when I had an appointment made. I don't think I could step in this place again. Do yourself a favor and go to the nail salon across the street. They have more workers, don't rush you and do beautiful work. read more

The salon is immaculate and the chairs are comfortable, lots of options for spa pedicure to help you relax and get your feet looking right. Very disappointing. Not sure where the other people went for their incredible service and experience because it wasn't this shop. I made an appointment for my daughters (18 & 22) to get manicures as a pre-birthday celebration. My youngest made the drive over from Spring Lake as the oldest lives in GR and this shop had excellent reviews. The staff were not friendly or engaging and the quality of the work was poor. One of them has nails with thin spots and the other one had to relocate and nobody assisted her in moving her stuff so she ended up smudging her nails. This caused the manicurist to get all snippy. I used to love this place and then I came back for the first time since they have been under new management. I walked in and wasn't greeted for 25 minutes. They kept taking other people over me while i had an appointment at 6. If you're going to have people make appointments, follow the appointment list or if you're going to take walk ins then only take walk ins. I had many issues with my trip to Nail Creations from the beginning to the end of my appointment, which was my first and will be my last visit. I had a previous acrylic set that was lifting, so I asked for a soak off and a full new set. I was astonished to see that their version of a "soak off" is prying and ripping off my old set, severely damaging my natural nails. My index fingernail was ripped so deeply I saw blood. She asked if that hurt and I said yes it did, and she nodded and continued. It's now an hour later, and my finger is still throbbing. Really hoping it doesn't get infected. When I arrived, I told them I was getting an acrylic set, so I was shown the color swatches to pick one out. I asked to confirm these swatches were for acrylic and not gel, and they confirmed. When I showed the nail artist the color, she said these were for gel, so I said that's okay, can you find me an acrylic that matches my skin color? She proceeded to use a pink with sparkles. (Just to clarify, I do not in fact have pink sparkly skin lol.) I asked for something without sparkles, and she looked at me and continued to use it so I just went with it because I'm always too scared to speak up. When I left, I was charged the $10 for a soak off, even though they were definitely not soaked off, just ripped. I was quite literally "ripped off." Giving two stars instead of one because the final result does look good, although I'm upset at the customer service aspect. read more
