I called the salon a head of time to ask about the cost of a dip manicure and a gel pedicure, and upon receiving the service, I went to pay for the amount I was told on the phone, and was told a price that was $25 more expensive than I expected. I mentioned I called and asked before I arrived at the salon and instead of honoring the word I was given on the phone, they charged me $25 more than I was expecting to pay. I talked to the owner and he raised his voice and would not calmly address issue. I would not have gone to the salon had I known this prior to getting my nails done there. I went here for the first time for a fill. The lady was super nice but she cut up my fingers so bad and never apologized. The first time I figured it was just an accident and oh well! But after 4 fingers with cuts from the drill they use to shape your nails. It was super unpleasant and as I'm bleeding while she was painting my nails she didn't mention it once. And then after she was finished she finished it up by wiping rubbing alcohol all over them. Don't get me wrong the look good but the cuts all over my fingers kind of take away from it. And I feel like it's not very cleanly to use a nail drill that has someone else's blood on it. So just beware you might have nice nails but it comes with pain. read more

The people here are supper nice and try to get to know you, but they are way overpriced. I came in today for a fill (which I have never payed more than $35 for) and they charged me $50?! I pay that much for a full set And they charged me that much for a FILL. This has me very frustrated and I will not be going back here. I paid $70 dollars for a Shellac Mani/pedi (not including tip). (The regular no frills mani pedis) I wanted dip mani and shellac pedi but they don't carry matching colors so I opted for shellac on both. Be aware. They charge additional for the removal of shellac and gel... everywhere else builds this into their price unless you are only removing. I have been to three other places and the cost of a dip manicure with shellac pedicure costs $64-68. Better product for less money and they don't confuse you with removal. Also side note I pay $55-60 for dip mani and regular pedicure with standard nail polish. Needless to say pricing is better elsewhere. I want even offered a water or soda. The other places provide wine/champagne at these prices! I'll give them 3 stars because they were friendly. read more

Nails were okay, but what really made me angry is that they told me my total was $69. Okay, I paid that for a gel fill and a pedicure. I come home and I told my fiancé it cost 69 dollars and I used his card and he said he was charged 82 dollars. Come to find out, the lady tipped herself 18 percent without my knowledge, so they basically stole money from me. I went back in to figure why I was over charged and everyone played stupid like it's my fault I was charged 82 dollars. No. It's not. Stop stealing from your customers!!!!!! Very disappointed in 3 of my experiences at Chesire Nails (all within four days). I am new to the area so I decided to try out this salon as it was a convenient drive from my apartment, plus I saw decent reviews. My first experience I got a pedicure- which was the best (of the worst) experiences I had. The paint job was done well and I was offered water as I waited. Yet, they barely scrubbed the bottom of my feet for dead skin! They merely lightly went over it. I even asked for them to scrub harder and use a different product and they kept saying "I don't see anything, there's no dead skin"- excuse me, my foot was not smooth whatsoever and I could see my heel had peeling skin!!! I ended up scrubbing my own feet when I got home! Waste of $30! But this was only the beginning of my horrible experience. The next day I went for a full set of acrylic nails- the lady argued with me telling me I should get gel instead ($5 up charge). I finally agreed to get her off my case. I was told though, using gel polish was very expensive so to pick a normal polish. I picked a light pink/nude. I specifically asked for my nails to be cut short (I have had full sets my whole life I know what I like and if it can be done). She kept saying she couldn't go more, but she clearly could cut another 1-3 inches off. I got stuck with long nails that I did not enjoy the length of. Ontop of that she did not shave down the sides properly to be rounded, so they looked incredibly unnatural with rough edges that were very visible when polish was applied. When it came to the painting of the nails- oh my goodness! I would give 0 stars if I could. she messed up my nails 7 times and constantly had to redo them. They would wrinkle and not dry smooth or clean. By this point I was extremely frustrated and she would keep taking on and off the polish (which she kept adding some additive substance to it which i think was the problem). Eventually I got so frustrated I just left because I was there for TWO HOURS AND TWENTY MINUTES!! This is unacceptable. No one was there and I had an appointment. The lady kept getting upset with me as if it was my fault. They did not even give me a discount, had to pay the full $30. I was so upset for the time and price I wasted that the owner, Jackson kept trying to calm me down and tell me come back on Monday and he will personally redo them. I figured the lady was just not good and I would give him a chance to gain my business again. Well all he did Monday was a color change, which he had to redo twice!!! He could clearly see the rough edges and how the polish would slide off but he didn't do a thing about it. He had me under the dryer for a long time and gave me a gel top coat (which he explained with much emphasis that it was complimentary and he shouldn't do this)- um, didn't I pay for gel?! My experience here was less than professional and awful to say the least, which is unfortunate. Four hours after I left, my nails were still wet and got ruined!! How is this even possible? They do not know what they are doing here. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

I just used a groupon here for their pedicure - it was great! They give a hot stone calf massage and paraffin dip with their pedicures - very nice. The staff was extremely friendly and the facilities seem brand new - I'll be back! read more
