This place on the strip mall stretch is one of the few local ice cream options in the area. I found them with no frozen yogurt machines in operation, but a decent selection of ice cream. I wasn't entirely sold that the temperature in the display was cold enough as bits looked slightly melted. After getting several eagerly offered samples, I ended up getting mint chip and a cookies and cream flavor together, which was an impressive combination that had me trying to get every bit off of the cup. They did have some nice sorbet options. And with a frequent buyer card in hand, I'll likely give them a bit of time to get all the machinery working before I return to try some more.

Back again!! Always a great experience. The owner crafts amazing flavors and is so pleasant!

This picture may not look like much but this lemon lavishness was something I never thought I needed. The employee suggested I mix gelato with sorbet and boy boy boy--it was the best thing that hit my tongue all day. Hats off to the guy behind the counter for his knowledge, humor, and warmth. This clean establishment will definitely get a return visit.

Strawberry swirl!

Yummy ice cream, funny, respectful and cool owner! Sad to see the place might be closing down soon. Affordable for the quality! Highly recommend!

The owner and Brianna, the person serving us gelato, were both SO NICE. It's a small shop with little tables lining the sides, so not the best if you're trying to fit a large group in, but very quaint and cute vibes. They let you sample before buying and they even offered flavors that weren't displayed. They said they can mix any flavors together into one bowl. I got the salted caramel, which had chocolate bits in it, and the NY strawberry cheesecake. My boyfriend got blood orange (with real orange bits) and wild strawberry. The flavors were amazing! Big big gelato fans. We'll definitely be back, not just for the gelato but also for the warm and friendly service!!

What a find! Stopped in for some fro yo, but tasted the gelato and changed my mind. Great assortment of flavors. Sorbets are delicious too! Enjoyed learning about all types of treats available. Lots of options for nondairy and vegan diets. Great service and staff. Don't miss this hidden gem! One of my new favorite places in Augusta.

The gelato and service are amazing. My fam and I went out last night on a hunt for ice cream to satisfy that late-night sweet tooth. We happened in on Orange Moon Delights and I am so glad we did. I had the Cookie Monster which tastes just like cookies and cream, my son had Cookie Monster and Salted caramel mixed together, and my husband had a special sorbet mixture. All three were amazing! I usually never eat all of my ice cream but this gelato was good. It had the right mouth feel and flavor. Plus the service is excellent. The owner spent time talking with us and telling us about his establishment. You could definitely tell he had a passion for the business. I will definitely support this small business when I am in Augusta.

I really liked this place. The owner was very nice and greeted me when I walked in with my baby. Talked to me about the new and different flavors they offer and also gave me samples YUM!! It's a family owned and operated so I like that. He has his daughters working the register. Just a really nice place, definitely recommend and will be going back for sure.

Combo of tropical sunset, wild strawberry and Torta Al Limone!

They have a number of stuffed and warm cookies to choose from. I couldn't decide on just one flavor and so opted for two! This was a bit of a mistake as their cookies are really large and dense which I discovered when the worker placed the first box with one cookie on the counter before me and it made an audible kerplunk. My goodness! I got their chocolate peanut butter cookie as well as a sugar cookie. When I realized how ample the cookies were, I gave the sugar cookie to the hotel clerk at my hotel, so I can only speak to the chocolate peanut butter cookie. It was sweet and delicious. I will note that their cookies are very sweet. I don't eat sweets often so the rich sweetness of one cookie was a bit much for me. Were I to go again, I'd probably split one with a friend. That said, the cookie was warm and ooey-gooey. It's kind of an inside out peanut butter cup with a peanut butter cookie surrounding a fudge-y chocolate center. If you like a chocolate/pb combo--this cookie is for you! The workers were lovely. I walked in with no familiarity with the biz and the clerk immediately gave me the rundown of their cookies and how ordering works. They were all so nice in here! If you're looking for an indulgent sweet treat, Dirty Dough has you covered! Get to it!

Southern charm, incredible lunch, legendary desserts, and truly wonderful service…read more Boll Weevil is one of those places that feels like you stumbled into something special. From the moment you see the brick building and walk inside, you get this warm, classic Georgia café vibe. It is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. It is the kind of place you want to slow down and enjoy. We came in for lunch and everything was outstanding. I had the Curious George, which is turkey topped with spinach dip and provolone cheese on sourdough bread. It was absolutely fantastic. Warm, savory, and perfectly balanced, it felt like true comfort food done right. It also came with a fresh side salad and great dressing that honestly could have been a meal on its own. My boys ordered the chicken quesadilla and nachos, and both were big wins. The quesadilla was crispy and cheesy. The nachos were fully loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus salsa and ranch on the side. The portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. Then came the desserts. We tried chocolate cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake. We ordered half slices and they were still huge. Every single one was incredible. The red velvet and carrot cake were made with real cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake was rich and moist. The chocolate cake was deeply decadent. Pairing the carrot cake with a cup of their coffee was the perfect finish. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and exactly what you want with dessert. We were also lucky enough to be taken care of by Reagan, who was incredibly kind, beautifully stylish, and so helpful with my boys and me. She gave great recommendations on dishes and portion sizes. Her warmth and attention truly elevated the entire experience. Between the cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, unforgettable desserts, and exceptional service, Boll Weevil is now officially a must stop every time we are in Augusta. Come hungry. Save room for cake.

Turkey and rice soup was very salty, not warm enough. The bread on our sandwiches were not a good quality... and not fresh Sides with sandwiches were subpar.... Regular chips on one and tasteless pasta salad on the other.

It's not inexpensive but you can certainly taste the quality. I had a scoop of bourbon salted caramel ice cream and a scoop of butterfinger ice cream. They were fantastic! It's a small establishment but for a dessert after a nearby meal, this is definitely worth the effort of driving to. People were friendly and the store was clean. So it wasn't a total surprise to find that they have decided to move to suburban Augusta. The new shopping center they've chosen was otherwise still under construction when I stopped in, but several groups of people had found this place and were shopping for ice cream. I imagine on a nice summer day there will be a line when word gets out. Not a lot of really top end ice cream around here, but this place knows how to infuse flavor. A more caramel and cookie creation complemented my dark and bitter chocolate. The chocolate came with Andes mints inside, which sounded nice but honestly could hardly be tasted because the flavor of the ice cream itself was so strong. Premium local ice cream isn't cheap, but here I did get a heaping portion size as I watched more flavors being created in the back of the shop.

Ambiance: 5/5 Parking: 5/5…read moreDessert: 5/5 I came here after visiting the River Walk! I visited this place while traveling on a hot, sunny weekend right when it opened, and it was an utter pleasure. Parking: there's plenty of street parking. I parked right in front of the dessert cafe. Free parking. Ambiance: it's a dark themed place with grey walls, a luxurious plush couch, and a dungeon-ish feel. It's more Halloween themed kind of style than luxurious. It's a cute mix of orange and black-grey themes. There's soft upbeat music in the background. Right when it opens is a great time to go! I nearly had the whole cafe to myself! Dessert: I ended up getting their pineapple cheesecake with cheesecake snow. It was light, fluffy, creamy. It's similar to Korean shaved ice or a lighter Italian shaved ice. It melts in your mouth and releases the sweetness. You can build your own and they have premade flavors such as turtle cheesecake, amaretto romance, cotton candy, vampy sour, orange dream, I love you Cheryl much, Mexican candy, pina colada. I ordered large, and I could definitely finish it all for myself! This is a chain that started in California. They start with a proprietary base, mix in the flavors, freeze it into a block, shave it, and then decorate it. In addition, the worker informed me that some of the cheesecake flavors have a homemade purée, with the strawberry cheesecake being the most popular. I'm 100% visiting again when I come back to Georgia!

There were a few machines that weren't operating but still enough flavors to have a great experience with the family. If you wanted a shake or drink, they can order from the register. If they wanted yogurt/ice cream then they could have the experience. Showed them how to get started; you select a size bowl (S/M/L), then select as MANY yogurts/Ice cream that you want to add in the cup BUT they had to make room for the toppings bar that is located near the yogurt/ice cream machines. Once they have placed all their flavors or ice cream/yogurt and added their toppings, they had to put it on the scale to have it weighed. Pending on how much it weighs is how much the dessert was. I'm telling you my dad had 5 different ice creams/yogurts with 7 toppings on there. I only had 2 toppings with a few toppings and it was all delicious. Great experience for my family who hasn't seen this kind of place on the West Coast. Also pictured is Taro Boba tea that was delicious!
