    Valentine Cake! It's so pretty!
    Callie M.

We stopped in for some treats. I had a peanut butter cookie and my husband had the snickerdoodle cookie. The texture, taste and size are absolutely perfect! They also offer meals, like casseroles, pot pies, and lasagna. So many beautiful cupcakes in multiple flavors and you can even order a Valentines cake! I can't wait to visit again.

They finally opened back up after the COVID-19 closure. Previously I called ahead to order my pecan rolls, a lemon bread, and a loaf of fresh baked white bread. I will tell you, do NOT miss out on their pecan rolls or other variations of cinnamon rolls. They are amazing! So huge too. The pecan rolls have such a good caramel stickiness to them. You can definitely serve 2 people off of one they are so large. I called ahead today to see if they had any peanut butter cookies, they had 4 left and set them aside for me. I also saw they had key lime cupcakes and grabbed a couple. I will say, the cupcakes here are with getting! Seriously. They are so moist and they have a wonderful cream cheese frosting! I highly recommend coming here. They also have cupcakes, pies, cakes and other pastries. I think it's awesome they also offer military discount.

This bakery went above & beyond for my daughter's birthday cake. Called on a Thursday, not knowing that cakes need a week in advance... duh. I asked for a 2 tier cake with rainbow ruffles and a cupcake to put her candles on to blow out. They rocked it! The cake and frosting was delicious, the cake beautiful and the party a huge celebration success! 5+ stars to the ladies at this wonderful bakery!

This is a local, popular chain that offers quality, fresh baked goods. Big whoopie pies, huge cinnamon rolls, big brownies...this business has a lot of sweets, but it also offers some ready-made casserole dishes. This is a take-out only business, but they also do catering for weddings and birthdays. The pricing was not bad for the proportions, and they are quality products. This is located in a strip mall off Washington Road in Martinez.

The best bakery in town..desert and pastry paradise. We tried some delicious treats and they were absolutely amazing. The parking is a little busy, but worth the wait. The prices are fair considering is a small business and the products are very tasty, customer service was great. I went on a very busy day so many things were gone but what we got did not disappoint. The smell of the place is delicious as soon as you walk in. Military gets 10% off so that's awesome!

Always a treat, never disappointed. These ladies work hard and it shows. I always have to stop for a cupcake or two when I'm back in my hometown! Red Velvet is my favorite.

If you desire something different to bring to your co-workers/office or it is just your time to bring the snacks and want something made with that extra bit of care head to Lil'Dutch. PSA....you might have to walk or run a bit extra but it is worth it for the melt in your mouth taste of there breakfast rolls especially the pastries. I feel this bakery is one of the few sprinkled throughout the Martinez/Evans that put their heart in their products, which are not massed produced, and once you taste a pastry you might feel the same. Even if this might be off your normal route..stop by, smell the (dough) roses and taste a pastry.

Absolutely one of the best bakeries in the Augusta area. The red velvet whoopie pie was excellent and very delicious. Can't wait to come back again. :)

Slice of pound cake. I'm in the car and just could not wait any longer. LOL

It's changed as you all know but I can tell that the recipes have as well. The cream cheese icing isn't as good as it used to be. I stopped by to get the ham and cheese roll but dang it, there were none to be had! Of course, that just means I have to go back and try again. They also quit selling the small bundt pound cakes. Now, you can buy it by the slice and we'll, it's not the same. Hey, it's still a great bakery but I miss the old lineup!

It's the sweet rolls for me. Sometimes they are inconsistent with the level of sweetness. But for the most part very good.

Southern charm, incredible lunch, legendary desserts, and truly wonderful service…read more Boll Weevil is one of those places that feels like you stumbled into something special. From the moment you see the brick building and walk inside, you get this warm, classic Georgia café vibe. It is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. It is the kind of place you want to slow down and enjoy. We came in for lunch and everything was outstanding. I had the Curious George, which is turkey topped with spinach dip and provolone cheese on sourdough bread. It was absolutely fantastic. Warm, savory, and perfectly balanced, it felt like true comfort food done right. It also came with a fresh side salad and great dressing that honestly could have been a meal on its own. My boys ordered the chicken quesadilla and nachos, and both were big wins. The quesadilla was crispy and cheesy. The nachos were fully loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus salsa and ranch on the side. The portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. Then came the desserts. We tried chocolate cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake. We ordered half slices and they were still huge. Every single one was incredible. The red velvet and carrot cake were made with real cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake was rich and moist. The chocolate cake was deeply decadent. Pairing the carrot cake with a cup of their coffee was the perfect finish. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and exactly what you want with dessert. We were also lucky enough to be taken care of by Reagan, who was incredibly kind, beautifully stylish, and so helpful with my boys and me. She gave great recommendations on dishes and portion sizes. Her warmth and attention truly elevated the entire experience. Between the cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, unforgettable desserts, and exceptional service, Boll Weevil is now officially a must stop every time we are in Augusta. Come hungry. Save room for cake.

Turkey and rice soup was very salty, not warm enough. The bread on our sandwiches were not a good quality... and not fresh Sides with sandwiches were subpar.... Regular chips on one and tasteless pasta salad on the other.

When we walked in, I was greeted and I returned the greeting. The employee then made a passive aggressive comment implying that no one had spoken, so I clarified that I had said hello. The exchange immediately felt uncomfortable, unnecessary, and unwelcoming. I found it very off putting that the focus appeared to be on whether a customer spoke loudly or enthusiastically enough rather than simply providing a pleasant and respectful experience. The employee has no way of knowing what customers may be dealing with in their personal lives. Because of this interaction, my husband and I chose to leave immediately. For context, during my previous visit I spent around $60 on several items, so this feedback is not coming from a lack of interest in supporting the business. It's genuinely unfortunate to leave a review like this, as the product itself was good. However, customer service matters just as much as the food, and because of this experience, we will not continue to support this business.
