Oh MY GOSH This place still has the best cupcakes ever. Especially since they have new flavors for the Summer like Blueberry Lemon, Margharita, Mississippi Mud Pie, Pina Coleda, and other flavors. I chose the Blueberry Lemon cupcake which the young lady said reminds her of a Blueberry Muffin and the Pink Chocolate Cupcake. I'll be sure to see anytime I'm in Evans to try the new flavors. In the words of my daughter when she was a baby, MAH-NUM-IN!!!! This the equivalent of high culinary praise. I mean, this cupcakery has a ton of accolades and it's all worth it! I've gone twice and each time it was after dinner, so there wasn't as much of a selection but I feel that works in my favor because otherwise I wouldn't be able to make up my mind. This time we tried the pink chocolate, s'mores, pecan sandie and a cannoli. All were delicious and decadent. They offer gluten-free cupcakes, hold birthday parties and cater weddings. Such great service. My son and I ended up in there due to my son having a toddler meltdown at another resturant near by; I had to leave. The young lady that worked there 8/24 of 2023 in the evening was patient and so kind. I bought a cupcake for my son and he calmed down. I didn't catch her name but she was a Godsend to me and my son. We bought some cupcakes and will be going back for future visits. Yes! Absolutely delicious cupcake with the perfect amount of frosting. Literally have never had such an amazing cupcake, even when there was a trend years ago. The shop was small and very clean and the cupcakes on display all looked SO delicious and intricately made. It's so tough running a cupcake shop when there's so many trends coming and going just miles down the street. That being said, the staff here is super upbeat and knowledgeable about pairings. How awesome is that? They tell you which cupcakes would go excellent with your meal. Oh my gosh, it's so adorable. It IS a franchise, but it's a franchise that really doesn't give off that kind of vibe at all. I've been to a couple in the Midwest and I can honestly say they all feel different but the cupcakes are all pretty tasty. I tried the Caramel Crunch 'cause the pretzels and sea salt drew me in and offered a lovely contrast to the soft chocolate base. It's made me change my mind about zeroing right in for the traditional red velvet cupcake for sure. They also do a hell of zingy cherry limeade cupcake and me being a Sonics limeade fan, it did me such good to eat it in cupcake form. They have a punchcard AND a generous military discount (BOGO) which I never personally use unless I'm getting 6 cupcakes for a group outing 'cause that'd just be taking advantage of a good thing. As a lover of cake I had to stop in and see what all the fuss was about. I purchased a box of six, cookies and cream, lemon, birthday cake, Carmel, white cake with fudge frosting, and s'mores. First, these things are HUGE. Next, I've tried 4 of the 6 and the crumb of the cupcakes is perfect. Soft, fluffy. Each cupcake has a different type of frosting. The S'mores was a marshmallow frosting. Lemon was a buttercream with lemon curd, and did not taste artificial. Birthday cake was a standard buttercream. It was good, but not the best I've ever had. Caramel was a caramel and it was yummy! Easy parking, friendly staff. I went after lunch on a Thursday and was the on,y person there. I had a coupon for a free cupcake! I left with a punch card. On Valentine's Day when everyone is closing, Smallcakes Cupcakery extended their hours until 8 pm. I called before going and found this out. It was also on the website, but due to COVID-19 you want to check to make sure. As soon as I walked through the door, the young lady, who is full of life greeted me. She welcomed me and asked how many cupcakes would you like? It made me laugh, because at the moment I had already spotted only 1 cupcake I wanted. She said, you only want one, so I looked again. She asked politely if I wanted a vanilla cupcake. I said, I need something with more flavor. I really want lemon. She smile and brought forth a box of a dozen cupcakes. She said what if I offered you one from this box? She opened it, and I spotted 3 that I wanted. I asked for the strawberry, strawberry cheesecake, and the lemon cupcakes. She smiled and said you can have them. So, I got a box of four. The reason why I mentioned this is because the cupcakes she offered was actually hers. I smiled from the time she opened, closed that box, and when I walked out the door. The customer service alone would keep me coming back. I actually posted them on my Instagram, Facebook stories to share with the world. The cupcakes are definitely as good as they look. Just be aware that the cupcakes can sometimes be on the drier side. Otherwise nicely decorated depending on what you purchas.

Was in the store about a minute ago, and the lady working did not acknowledge me and my aunt at all when we walked in. No greeting, no smile, nothing! She even turned her back and went towards the back as we got closer to the counter. My aunt spoke and she said a dry hi, looking annoyed that we came an hour before closing. We were both confused by the horrible customer service so we left without patronizing. This was the first time we had a bad experience at this location. Everyone else is usually very friendly and happy to help. Maybe the bad service will help me stick to my weight loss goals :-). Also found it unsanitary that she was picking up floor mats and then started placing cupcakes on the rack without washing her hands. Hopefully this was an isolated incident that doesn't happen on the norm. read more
