I been a regular customer, always get the Goat Curry Bowl or Plate. However, recently the quality has been nothing but bad, protein often containing too much fat or bones. Well, it gets worse. The dude who prepared my 2 items to go was careful to re-dip the ladle to exclude the paneer and the beans. This pic is fresh after I got home and opened it up. Very short on the portions, notice the watery-ness. There was a lot of water. The sauces are watered down. So, small portions, watered down sauces. The Naan was so chewy as well, never been this way before. This place used to be good, but it's strike 2 now, so only 1 strike left for me before I find somewhere else to go. The place is going downhill. read more

I love this place! My boyfriend and I eat here almost once a week and it never disappoints. We are vegetarian and they have many options for us. Their paneer tikka masala is amazing!! Their food is fresh and their service is good inside the store. Sometimes their phone is busy and it's hard to get a hold of them. This is more of a take out place though. Not really the vibe to eat in but you won't be disappointed bringing this home! read more

This is a small business in a small plaza, parking might be hard. This place is fairly priced for its item combos. The veggie paneer was so yummy, creamy and full of veggies. Ooooooo wee! My GO TO SPOT. Super quick, super easy. Great customer service! If it is your first time here, you can ask for samples. I usually grab the two item combo, double tikka masala AND garlic naan. CHEF'S KISS!! Love bringing my friends here whenever they want some good quality food. Cannot get enough. If you love Indian food and want it fast then you should try this popular restaurant. There's no waiting around as most of the food is already precooked and ready to eat in or take out. My all time favorite dish is the Chicken Tikka masala and theirs was very good and the naan bread is fresh and hot. We tried one of the vegan meat dishes and we didn't like that one as much as the other dishes. read more

The food is ALWAYS great as well as the service. Tried the chicken curry for the first time, and it was good! A bit spicy for my taste, but most likely the perfect amount for everyone else (for context, hot Cheetos are spicy for me or things with too much pepper...yes, I know). I always get the chicken tikka masala and the califlower veggies. The girl got my order wrong and didn't get my veggiesbut it's ok! This review is so long overdue! I absolutely love this place, and it's thanks to them that my parents are now big fans of Indian Cuisine. Extremely generous portions at an affordable price. Husband picked up two, 2-item combos, raita, garlic naan, and two mango lassis to go. Price was about $48. Reviews of each item: - Raita - Watery and thin. Taste was ok but was very hard to pick up with naan because if how watery it was. - Garlic Naan - It seemed really soggy. Not sure if it was because it was wrapped in foil and got soggy on the way home, but the taste was fine. - Chicken Tikka Masala - The sauce was very sweet and not creamy or thick. The chicken tasted like it was cooked separately then added into the sauce afterwards, so it didn't absorb any of the flavors of the sauce and was sort of dry in the middle. I didn't really like this dish, and my husband agreed. If you like a thick and rich tikka masala, you will be disappointed. - Eggplant - Very smokey flavor with lots of onion. Not bad, but don't get this if you don't like onions because there were a LOT. I think it was more onion than eggplant... - Saag Paneer - Like the raita, this dish was very runny/watery. It had a decent amount of paneer pieces which tasted fine. The spinach wasn't thick and did not have a texture, it was very smooth, almost like it was blended. - Mango Lassi - Thick, nice. A little bit tart. Unfortunately, probably the only thing I would purchase again from here. Overall, sort of disappointing experience for this price. We've had all these dishes before and none of them seemed that well done here. Many of them seemed like they were too thin and not very substantial, like they were trying to stretch out small batches to serve more portions. We will most likely not come here again. I've had better Indian cuisine in both OC and LA for similar prices. I'm sorry to say this, but probably the worst Indian food I've had in OC. I'm surprised it had such high reviews. read more

Always fantastic. The young lady behind the counter is so friendly and puts a lot of care into preparing your order. The entire restaurant is very clean and well organized. Most of the food has already been prepared, so it's easy to get in and out. On top of that, You get a lot of food for a great price. I walked into this little place and it smelled amazing! The gentleman was so nice and friendly. The young lady helping didn't seem very enthusiastic but whatever. All of the items looked so good. This is an "express" Indian food so they have the popular items ready to go. It's pretty amazing. The pricing is good as well. $7.99 for the 1 item combo. I thought it came with naan but I guess not because I was charged for it. It was delicious and not expensive. I picked the chicken tikka masala as well as the black pepper chicken. They say the camera eats first but not here. Since I started with the pita let's talk about it. The pita here was the best pita I've ever had. They grill it and it tastes like they make it in house. The grill leaves a slightly crisp taste around the grill marks whilst the pillowy, soft texture almost melts in your mouth. When I combined it with their hummus I genuinely forgot about everything else on the plate. I am a carnivore firstly, but I couldn't believe my mind couldn't even see past the pita. When I did bite into the mixed shawarma meats of chicken and beef I could taste the crisp char of the meat with the deeply savory flavors of interior. It was phenomenal. I can't describe it correctly. Imagine the best version of something you've only casually enjoyed now becoming a flavor that becomes so integral to your tastes. I don't think I've ever had shawarma quite like this and it's a flavor I want to try again and again. I have no qualms about saying this: I hope I find myself back in this area once more so I can have an excuse to eat here once more. If you enjoy deeply favorable tastes with highly pleasurable textures I highly recommend you eat at Shawarma House.

I was shocked to see that. I waited in line with maybe like two people in front of me and guess what they asked of Pliny was still available. The guy working said to the people in front of me that they sold out. It was my turn I asked if they had it and the guy said that they had a line since 3pm and that they sold out of the keg. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

This is by far the most affordable place to get Indian food. It's quick place to grab food on your break, the food is served like at chinease restatant. Ypu can choose from one up to a three item combo. It is already prepared so no waiting long for ypur order. And the food tastes delicious. It's always fresh and the portions are awesome. There's a shared parking lot outside for the plaza tenants, and right next door you'll find a hair salon, laundry shop, and a video store -- giving it that classic neighborhood charm. Food Experience: I ordered the rare steak, well-done brisket, and meatball pho. Since I don't like rare steak, I asked the lady working there if she could have it cooked for me, and she was very nice and accommodating. My food came out within five minutes, hot and fresh. The pho noodles were the thin kind, which I personally love. The brisket was tender and flavorful, and although the steak was a little overcooked, the overall taste was still great and satisfying. Service & Overall Thoughts: The staff here are friendly, fast, and helpful, which makes the experience even better.
