Been to the packing house many times and first time trying Adya. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, garlic naan, and Lamb Biryani. It was good! I would definitely eat here again. Coming back for the Chicken Tika Masala The main complaint here, it is a little pricey, but most restaurants are at the Packing District.
The blandness and lack of flavor from tikka masala and garlic naan that costs $25 was genuinely disappointing. I politely asked for a refund as I could barely touch the food and the owner Shachi was fighting trying to not give me a refund. Her ego was obviously hurt and I had to ask her 4 times to finally get a refund. I strongly do not recommend this place if you want any food with flavor at all.
Came here last night when the original plan was to come to Healthy Junk at the Anaheim Packing House, not realizing they had permanently closed! My friend and I walked around in search for some vegan food for me. Luckily, this spot stood out to me as having some cute decor and I figured, Indian food must have vegan options! I was pleasantly surprised to see the menu had labeled its vegan options, but the item that seemed most intriguing to me was labeled as vegetarian, not vegan! This item was the Chana masala burrito, which sounded so unique to me, especially since I love fusion food! I decided to inquire while my friend was placing her order to see if it could be made vegan. I was excited to learn, that it could be veganized, although the employees said that it would taste more bland. My friend and I took a seat at the counter, which was designated for customers only. The seating was comfortable and spacious. Our order was ready very quickly, but not too quickly that would make me question the quality! The burrito had a lovely texture and flavor and the tortilla really sopped up the flavors of the curry. It was creamy and luscious and had a great kick to it! They had added some hot sauce and tamarind sauce which really balanced out the flavors well. There is a lot, but it was filled up when we arrived. Thankfully, there was street parking in the neighborhood, although I had to drive around a couple of times to find a spot! I would definitely return when in the area.
Let me say the people there are top notch and really care about your eating experience. The presentation is beautiful. Authentic Indian flavors and seasonings. It takes a bit for your good to come out so don't be in a hurry. I tried the goat cheese naan and it was soft, chewy and cheesy. I also tried the Malai Chicken which was flavorful with the spicy cilantro sauce. The rice had a cinnamon flavor and the salad was a nice variety of veggies. A lot of food.
I've personally never had good food at the packing district and tonight did not disappoint. I thought Indian food sounded great but I was shocked at how bad the lamb curry was. It was about a 20+ minute wait. There was nothing remarkable about the dish. It was watery, had very little lamb, the lamb was rather gamey, flavor was not strong at all, and the rice was overly dry. Would not ever recommend. It's also very loud (when they have DJs) and you can barely hear anyone.
Good food with good prices inside Anaheim packing district. Black lentils are great, very tasty and rich, but it's too rich/too much carb when served with rice.
Ordered the Saag Paneer with Garlic Naan. $25 (including tax). The portion was fairly small for the price, but it had a good flavor. The rice was plain with a bit of cinnamon thrown in. The naan was fine. The service was okay. Not super friendly but not bad either. Wouldn't be totally against trying something else, but for the price I expect a bit more.
This place was very delicious, I got the tandoori chicken plate, my chicken was a little undercooked, and I let them know, and that immediately took it and offered me something to munch on while I waited, which was very kind of them, but I declined cause I was looking forward to my food. They did end up, bringing us out a little appetizer to try, which was very kind. The people here are very, very kind, very attentive and they care about what their customers feel when they leave. Lots of flavor in the food highly recommend.
My only regret: having paid for this meal with money I don't have but hunger is a great seasoning. Got me through half the paneer burrito and scouring through the other half for paneer where the sauce hadn't ruined the rice carrying too much texture. Samosa chaat were small and sad. The chaat part was too saucy for camera. But not bad samosas. The guy taking the lunch break was eating 3 fluffy pancakes.. I couldn't stop eyeing them until there was no more paneer in my burrito. Naanwich looked like a better choice. From what I heard the lamb was good kebab.

It was our first time there so me and my fam did a walk through of the whole place. There are so many choices!! We all got din from different restaurants, such a fun concept. I went with ADYA because I love paneer masala and when I saw they had a paneer masala burrito I thought that was so unique and had to try it. The burrito comes with paneer masala, basmati rice, lentils, and mint chutney (although it was mostly rice). There was an option to add on a side of masala sauce for $2 and I did because I'm a sauce girly. Sauce already comes in the burrito but I was glad I got the side because it was dry as is. The burrito was big enough to make me full but I think someone with a bigger appetite would still be hungry. I got a cup of water and it was a very small paper cup. Other restaurants my fam tried gave out large glasses of water. I haven't eaten at a restaurant without checking Yelp reviews in years and wanted to be spontaneous so I went with what I thought looked good. If I saw the reviews I'm not sure if I would have ordered ADYA, but no regrets!

Wow! That goat cheese garlic naan was freakin fire!!! What a hit! I like naan, but I've never had naan like this! Mind blown!!! The goat cheese stuffed inside just added a whole new level. It was creamy and cheesy! The naan was so fresh and warm. I would definitely order this again. Service was good. They were kind and friendly. Ambiance is causal, walk up and order. There are tables and chairs nearby.
Walking around the Anaheim Packing House, we looked for something different to sample. Came across ADYA, by the winner of Chopped, and saw some fusion items that looked interesting. Labeled as an Indian-Mex, the chicken tikka masala burrito caught my attention. Also got a garlic naan ... because I love naan. The burrito was filled mainly with rice, I'd say about 3/4, and it was bland. When I did bite into the chicken, the flavor was so mild, I felt the frozen Indian foods from Trader Joe's had better, bolder flavor. The garlic naan was very average. It needed a pinch of salt as it was also bland, I've had better. Luckily I asked for one of their spicy sauces which helped gave everything some flavor. The service and friendliness from the guy that helped us was pretty good. The food was not. Luckily, we didn't order more so we have room to sample other foods around the Packing House. There are public tables around nearby. If those are all taken. AFYA has some counter seating facing their 'kitchen'. If you do eat here, don't expect bold spicy flavors that indicative of Indian cuisine. I feel this is a very toned down version of it.

Amazing! First time coming to the Anaheim Packing District and came across ADYA. Menu looked very interesting, especially having some fusion Indian burrito choices. My family ordered some burritos but I ordered the tandoori chicken plate and made it thali (which included some sides and naan). This place completely exceeded expectations! Outstanding! The chicken was moist and charred to perfection. The rice was very flavorful, with citrus aromatics and spiced well. We all kept eating despite being full (huge portions btw)! We ordered garlic naan and it was so garlicky! That's great bc we love garlic! My family went back to compliment the chef bc we were so impressed. Honestly, one of the best Indian food Ive ever had, having been to some in the LA and Inland Empire. Also, the chef was so nice! read more

GREAT PLACE!!!! The cardamom chai was to die for. I took one sip and was in heaven (much so that I plan on going back for more tomorrow. I ordered the lamb curry, it wasn't as creamy as I had expected it to be but it was still delicious! The service was great and quick which was also nice. The food was good, however, the burrito was a little bland. The lamb over rice was good but I got the spicy and it was spicy! A little pricey. The service was quick. The staff was friendly and it was nice to sit in the open area in the Packing House. read more

This is the spot I ended up after browsing all the other options at the packing house. Glad I did!!!!! I was drawn in because of the smells. I had the special of the day and added the garlic naan bread. So glad I added that naan!!!! It was pretty fast service, too. read more

I don't know much about indian cuisine and was skeptical because of some of the reviews. The plate was good overall. I ordered the chicken tandoori one of their most popular dishes here. The chicken was flavorful with a little spicy very delicious , the rice was a bit too acidic for my taste but wasn't bad at all & the salad was great im not sure why others complained. Definitely would try this place again read more

They had us at Tilki Masala BURRITO! It's tasty, humongous and spicy! It's the first and BEST burrito of this kind and we loved it! I ordered a samosa chat and it's spicy too (in my opinion) but very flavor-able and filling. Both items are very good and I would definitely order the same items next time I visit. read more

Executive Chef Shachi Mehra was the winner on the tv show Chopped. I've watched that show and so excited to visit this location. When you enter from the valet parking lot it's located on the second floor, back right corner opposite of the main entrance doors. Great service and you get to watch them in action. Tandoori ovens and skewers lined with the cooked meats served fresh. There's bar seating on the side counter for customers and their signature hot sauce stares at you. Taunting you to get a bottle and feel the burn. Full of flavor! These veggie samosas packed a bright punch. It has the traditional dipping sauce flavors all combined into one. Making these parcels the perfect bite. read more

The place was at very corner of the Food court inside packing district and I came here because of their bread... It was good as the first time I tried in Philadelphia. I gave 3 stars because of the service was too slow. The server told me its just 5 minutes but it took me almost 15 minutes, just for one bread and a cup of dipping sauce. Found the packing district on accident. Just in the area for a trip to Disneyland. Thought the district would give me plenty of options for dinner. So I chose Adya Indian food. Had the Chicken Nannwich. It was delicious! Wish it came with a small side dish of some sort but the sandwich was really good!! read more

Ordered a few things from the menu via delivery so I am not reviewing the ambience or the service. I ordered the Pani puri which was delicious. The sev puri was good too although I prefer and expected flattened puris rather than the puffed ones. The samosa chaat was my least fave dish. It had yogurt which was very sour. The Gulab jamuns were cute and tasty. However there was a sprinkling of something on top which looked like pistachios so not great for nut allergies. The food was good but I have had better especially for their prices. read more

I don't know why people are hating on this place for the price to food ratio. Their food is BOMB! I love trying new Indian food and so glad I stumbled upon Adya inside Anaheim Packing District. They specialize in modern Indian food. We only got one thing off their menu since we wanted to try different foods within the food hall but I would come back here again to try more of their items! 5/5: Keema Pav - This is their spiced minced lamb slider that came with pink pickled onions and a green sauce. The potato bun was warm and soft with a lightly sweet flavor that reminded me of brioche bun. The spiced minced lamb meat was DELICIOUS. It's like a sloppy Joe texture with big chunks of minced lamb packed flavor with the spices. This was not as spicy for the people that can't do spice. We gobbled it up fast. The price was around $11ish with tax and was very reasonable priced. Maybe if they added a small side and charged $15-16 people would stop complaining about the portion to sizes? Of course you're not filled after this but I thought it was decent price for the quality of flavor you get. That's why you gotta order more to try on the menu. read more

I think this place is so popular more because of the location than the food and prices. The service is fine and the ambiance is great, always love the nicely decorated seating areas around the place. The Lamb Biryani I had was actually quite good, but the reason this review isn't 5 stars is that it's just too pricey for too little. I was expecting more toppings for $20, some veggies, a salad, but I got exactly lamb and biryani. Even if it tastes good, I can't justify coming here again when there are plenty of other Indian places with much better prices. read more
