It was lackluster with no flavor, watery sauce in taste and consistency, and in desperate need of adjusting to make it edible. Threw it away after a few bites. The samosa chaat was delicious and saved this review from getting a lower rating. Garlic Naan was subpar. Very disappointed overall. Wow! So much flavor! The sev puri was a bit sour and needed a touch more tamarind sauce but it was still so good and crunchy! The Chana masala was so flavorful and mild in heat. Absolutely rubbish. The chicken tikka looked like something you'd find in a kennel rather than a kitchen. It was a sad, orange slop that had all the appeal of week-old leftovers. The naan was a travesty--burnt to a crisp and weirdly damp. And the so-called "rice" was clumpy and undercooked. To top it all off, there was a bottle of Windex sitting next to the arugula. I can't decide if it's a new garnish or just another hint that they don't care about hygiene. If you want authentic Indian cuisine, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from here. It was aight. I got the CTM Burrito (chicken tikka masala). Chicken was a little dry, a little bland, and the burrito was about 85% white rice. I know I shouldn't have been expecting a lot out of a burrito at an Indian restaurant, but some small changes and it could have been a winner. The mango mint lassi was pretty good and our friends got a lentil and naan dish, and that was also very tasty. Perhaps some of the other Tandoori and biryani items were better. Adya is located in the cute Anaheim Packing House. They had a bunch of different options and even some info-Chinese fusion. My favorite part of the meal was the fresh garlic naan. And my friends liked the paneer burrito. The tika masala had a stronger tomato base than what I'm used too and wasnt super creamy. Overall it was a good place to try, I think I would go to a different place in the packing house the next time I come. read more

The heavy set guy at the register was just depressing. No one behind me to order but such in a hurry to take my order that I couldn't even order everything I wanted to order. Which is a good thing because I waited to taste my food before this review and wow, BLAND. Most bland food I've ever tasted. Also, just watch everyone and how dirty they are with their gloves. The guy cutting the naan wiped the counter with his gloves (not a rag) then through the naan on the counter cut it and wrapped in foil. I really enjoyed dinner from here tonight! The staff was really helpful in describing to me what was and was not vegan. I opted for the vegan thali which included the Curry of the day (a cauliflower dish) and Chana masala. Both were delicious! I also loved the salad, roti and chutney that the entrée came with. I decided on the Lamb Seekh Kebab and added Garlic Naan. After tax and tip, $27/$28 I ordered around 8 and at 8:25 my buzzer let me know the food was ready. 25 mins... is a pretty long time. BUT, if it's made fresh, totally worth the wait. The quantity of food was a bit disappointing. Again, just under $30... Everything smelled great when I walked my food to the table, but when sat down and took a bite: cold rice, cold lamb. The NAAN was pipping hot. But why would the food be dead ass cold? Incredibly disappointing. The flavor profile was pretty solid. But it was almost $30 and it was cold. I almost took it back but I hate throwing away food. It's also disappointing that this place, like many many others, leaves room on the receipt for a service tip when there is no service! I don't get it, just make your prices higher and be upfront about how much things are going to cost. Incredibly frustrating. Pretty big let down for a few reasons. read more

Our experiences at ADYA have been nothing but great. It's located in the 2nd floor corner so it's easily missed. There are plenty of Indian cuisine choices outside of the packing district but ADYA holds its ground firmly as it dishes out delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. Yes the choices are pricey. A medium sized tray of rice and a small bowl of curry for ~$20ish is quite pricey; I'm not going to lie. It doesn't even come with a side of naan bread or chutney. But at the same time you're paying this amount to enjoy the packing district vibe. Service wise, there really isn't much to cover here. You order and they give you a pager letting you know when the food is ready. I didn't wait too long for my order and they even prepared my wife's order on the spot. I don't think this place deserves the 1-2 stars some reviews have given. It really does dish out delicious Indian food and I would recommend this place; just be aware of the price tag. read more

I've been a regular with them but because of cost cutting the salad used to be lettuce before and now it is a cabbage slaw, and the rice used to be basmati but then now it's looks like it's regular mix with something else. The service is good enough. They're friendly and patient. The food comes out pretty fast and it's fresh, so that's always a plus. This place is in the Packing House, so it can get pretty busy on the weekends. The curry is pretty good. There's definitely a lot of sauce and not much meat, so very typical of Indian places. The price and value you get isn't great, but it's in the location itnis, so you kind of just accept it. It's definitely one of the better spots at the Packing House, so I do recommend this place. Where to begin. This place is located inside the Anaheim Packing District on top floor. I was craving Indian cuisine so we came to grab a light dinner since we wanted to leave room for desserts. The chicken tikka masala was too sweet. The rice was undercooked. All of the garlic naan pieces we're burnt, I can even see parts where they tried to scrap off the burnt pieces. How can you serve that to people? The beer, I took it next to the water cup for size comparison. For $6, we expected a lot more for sure. Rarely do I not look at Yelp reviews before I try a new place, but this time I didn't, and I'm glad or I may not have went there! The food was amazing, such great seasoning on everything. Unfortunately we forgot to take pics until half way through, but we got the Malai Chicken, which wasn't the most flavorful but still very good and fresh, also got the Tandoori Chicken which was excellent! They say it's spicy but it's very mild. We also split the lamb sloppy Joe sandwich (I think it was a special), also reallly good, the lamb was piled deep and the flavor was bomb, the buns were incredible, delicious! Lastly, of course we had to get some Naan, it wasn't totally unique, but it was tasty. I really thought the prices were fare as well, see my pic for the menu board. I stopped by ADYA on Monday evening around 6:00 p.m. and the place was completely empty. I placed an order for a saag paneer and added on a goat cheese naan. I was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes, but I ended up waiting closer to 35 minutes before my buzzer rang. The saag paneer was just ok -- far from the best I've had. The dish felt a bit under-seasoned. I was ready to be disappointed by the goat cheese naan but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The cheese was nice and tangy and didn't taste too greasy.
