Beautiful place but very underwhelming food. Service was very good but waiter pushed a "tomahawk for 3" for 3 grown men which turned out to just be a regular sized tomahawk steak to be split amongst us. Not good. Would have been better off and cheaper to order my own ribeye. I tried someone else's ribeye and it wasn't as tender or flavorful as other steakhouses. I would skip this place. I ordered a medium rare, the strip side was medium rare all fat and gristle, filet mignon side was over cooked with some ash. Very disappointed!! I don't know why I didn't send it back, still asking myself! Our waiter was very nice tho I wanted to say something about octopus but he left too quick. And the last time he stopped by our table was right after we got our steak, asked if everything was OK, at this time I haven't even looked at the steak yet. Very spacious dining room with high ceiling. Nice decor and presentation. That's it. Service, staff, greeters and management needs a major reality check and training for non frequent customers. If they don't know you, than good luck experiencing anything worth remembering. It's an atmosphere where employees might have a large turn over rate because management don't seems to care. Everyone working there is cold and always looking for the next big fish. It's a restaurant, not a brokerage firm. It's a customer service industry! Management need major customer service training. This place was gorgeous inside! Seems like a great place to do parties since they have some great photo ops. The food was very good, especially the Apple Crustada Dessert! The only thing I took a star away was because of the table. We were a bigger group and they stuck us at a corner on a huge round table. When all the food was in front of us, we had to get up or reach over each other just to get the food from the middle of the table. They were also moving tables around towards the end of the night because of an even they had the next day which is prob why they stuck us in a corner.... Other than that, the staff was very nice and the food was great! I would def recommend this place and would go back again to try more! read more

I am going to echo the same problem others commented about... Our $130 porterhouse came out charred with a layer of black burned meat. I am sorry, but steaks should not be burned like this... and if the cook constantly burns the meat, then it's time to find a new profession. It ruins the entire taste and we had to slice off the top layer of the steak. NOT what a fine steakhouse should be serving. First and last time customer. Had Easter lunch with our family of 8 at Opus today. A disaster from beginning to end. Started with our table breaking, yes breaking, in the middle. One person had drinks and broken glass on them. Took a good deal of time for them to clean up and set us up again. We asked for just another table to sit at, we had no food yet, barely had got our drinks. They said no they do not have another table available. lol. Plenty of empty tables. Two filet mignons were undercooked, almost raw, and one T-bone steak burnt and smelled like charcoal. ‍ The manager gave a free round of drinks. When I rate restaurants- it's heavily weighted on the taste of the food. Food here is excellent. The service is slow but I really believe it's because the restaurant is just really large and it's a lot of ground for the waiters to cover especially when it's busy. They do their best, but it is a slow dining experience due to this. I've been twice and I will certainly return because I've enjoyed my meal both times and they are always texting good promotional deals which I can appreciate. read more

However, I'm giving this restaurant a 2 star because our waitress (Kam-Camille) and head server knowingly overcharged us for 2 bottles of sparkling water. I would of overlooked this & given the benefit of doubt, but each bottle was $11.00. Charging $11.00 for bottle of water for a total of $22.00 was way too much. I called & spoke w Mgt. who did right with a credit. My point is when dining you are there to have a good time, my bill was over $500.00, we did order several dishes, but I should not have to scrutinize for padded charges. Matt was super attentive and professional and had great recommendations. For all going I highly suggest requesting Matt as your server. As for the food we started off with oysters, calamari and grilled octopus. Everything was absolutely delicious. For dinner we got the tomahawk and split it 3 ways accompanied with a lobster tail and Mac and cheese and creamed spinach as the sides. The steak was cooked exactly how we wanted it, medium plus. Came here recently for the lady's birthday. I've heard alot about One North and was excited to check it out. The interior is pretty impressive...high ceilings, big main bar, lots of small private rooms. Everything looks brand new and very well maintained. Our server Terrance was awesome! He was on top of everything and very helpful while we dined. We started off with the grilled octopus. I'm usually pretty weary since octopus is easy to overcook. The octopus was braised perfectly! Tender and soft inside and no where near over done - highly recommended! We also had the lobster bisque which was rich and creamy and hit the spot. Entrees included the gigli pasta and the seafood risotto with prawns. The lemon risotto with the seafood was awesome! It was a good combination and a very tasty dish. Gigli pasta had short rib in it which tasted awesome! Terrance brought out a piece of a 20 layer cake for dessert and we all sang happy birthday! She was so kind, attentive, gave amazing recommendations and we were not underwhelmed or disappointed by anything. Started with the burrata and steak ends app. Burrata was delicious and fresh, and steak end marinate was out of this world. Fiancé and I split the tomahawk. So much food, couldn't finish it. Cooked perfectly, definitely worth the money and is such a spectacle. We shared the truffle Mac and broccolini. Would get both of them again. My Dad got the marinated skirt steak. Very generous portion with again, delicious marinate and crispy onions. My Mom got the fish special, she loved it as well. White fish with a butter lemon sauce. They shared mashed potatoes. Finally-- the dessert. You NEED to get the donuts if they're on special. They're fresh, cinnamon, drizzled with raspberry. We also got the chocolate cake. Lots of downsides for an over $500 meal after tip for two people. Sat next to the party room with a loud high school reunion happening. Steak was cooked correctly internally but was seared to the point of burning on the outside for the two of us. All the other food was okay but wasn't anything to brag about. The cocktail I ordered also tasted like something I used to drink when I turned 21 at Sugar Factory in Manhattan, it was not good. I switched to wine which was a good choice. Service was good, everyone was really nice, but when it came to getting the check it took forever and with the DJ blaring from the reunion and the chaotic children at the table next to us it felt like an eternity. They had flounder stuffed with crab meat that was delicious - now gone from the menu. Wahu tomahawk for two on a hot stone plate - gone. Musles in white wine sauce - gone. Bartenders seem to absolutely hate their jobs and resent anyone who orders a drink. We were just here for a wedding and the bar staff were really cold to us. Felt like perhaps a restaurant connected to a 5 star hotel. The service was mediocre. Took about 5 minutes (no exaggeration) for us to even get water. Bread was served, but without a bread plate. Was just odd, said to my wife I guess I either have to hold the bread or set on the table cloth. We both ordered the 3 course dinner special. I feel like the restaurant prioritizes quantity over quality. The portions were large and if large portions make you feel like you are getting your moneys worth this is the place for you. I, however, prefer smaller portions of higher quality. I started with the seafood crabcake. The menu said it had crab, scallops and shrimp, but honestly only tasted the crab and lots of breadcrumbs. Nothing to write home about, two fairly large crab cakes. I then had the stuffed flounder, it was fine, but tasted mass produced like something that would be served at a wedding. On the side, both my wife and I ordered potato & prosciutto croquette. I wish I knew in advance how big the portions were, we should have split that and ordered another side to try. Finally I had the chocolate torte. It was OK, a bit on the dry side and again tasted mass produced. We'll likely give the restaurant another try. Perhaps their steaks would be a better choice. Wish they'd focus more on quality and less on quantity. read more

Do not go here if you are a parent and on date night. Today was our anniversary dinner so we got a sitter and had reservations at 7:30pm. We haven't been out alone together for over 6 months so we were very excited. We got to the restaurant and the hostess and manager was walking around and walked past us twice and did not even aknowledge us. The hostess finally came to us and told us our table was not ready and asked if we wanted to be seated at the bar. We sat at the bar and had 2 drinks and they were mediocre considering it was 18 dollars a cocktail. Long story short, we got our entrees at 8:55pm. We were upset because we had to leave at 9:15 since our sitter had to leave at 9:30. We told our waiter and he said "oh, you should've told us you were in a rush". Wow. lol then we see the waiter tell the manager about our situation and of course the manager passes our table 5 times, but never says anything to us. Horrible. Our bill came out to $350 and we never got to enjoy our steaks because we had to take it to go after a few bites and had to take our desserts to go. Will never visit here again. I went here with my husband, his parents and my 12 and 11 year old kids. Wait wasn't bad however, the service was terrible. This was my 4th time coming here and the service was slow but we were having great conversation so we didn't mind. The waiter was carrying a full tray of drinks and somehow he slipped and the drinks fell over my 12 year old daughter's clothes! Upon entering it was a grand opening, the bar beautiful and spacious left above was their entire wine stored through clear glass BEAUTIFUL. Their tables in the dining room were spacious and sat with white linen and silver cutlery. Beautiful. We went with their Sunday 3 course and it did not disappoint. Ordered their ceasar salad delicious. Also ordered (extra) their tuna appetizer and that was OUTSTANDING. I ordered their squid ink pasta with shrimps in a red sauce it KNOCKED my socks .. my husband ordered the wagu tenderloin and it also delicious. My party also ordered the branzino and they said it was fresh and seasoned beautifully. We ordered 3 glasses of Silver Oak ($45.00 a glass) 8 oz. OUTSTANDING. Now mind you the 3 course dinner was $60.00 and our wine was more .. it was well worth it!!!! For dessert we all ordered the panni cote. It was light and beyond perfect. Service was on point. Never once did we have to ask for anything. I dont understand the negative reviews. I'm under the impression that clients who leave a negative review, sadly cannot afford it ..
