Great food and atmosphere here! Service is always solid too. Get the Tomahawk special and don't miss out on the house steak sauce! Meat is tender, juicy, and very well seared on the outside (a bit too burnt for my liking but still very good.) The go to side's are whipped potato (good with garlic) and truffle mac and cheese, which is rather rich and plain. We like it, though. Drink wise the lavender mule is good! Cheesecake is really good for dessert :) We come here almost once a week and it's definitely worth it - you won't regret it! read more

Horrible management!!We had issue at bar with Tim (so called bar manager)We asked to speak to restaurant manager who was even worse (says his name was Perry)He was smirking while I was explaining what was going on with rude and miserable Tim.Both managers are not management material at all and would be better off managing at Taco Bell not an upscale restaurant! read more

My boyfriend and I went for Valentine's Day and everything about this place was awesome. Expensive, yes, but it's a high end steakhouse if you're looking to splurge for a special event or date night I definitely recommend. The wait staff was incredible, super friendly, attentive, and provided so many recommendations for us. The food and drinks were also-amazing. So impressed, even on a busy day like Valentine's Day they did not miss a beat or rush us out either. Would definitely come back to celebrate another special day!!! !! read more

Do not go here if you are a parent and on date night. Today was our anniversary dinner so we got a sitter and had reservations at 7:30pm. We haven't been out alone together for over 6 months so we were very excited. We got to the restaurant and the hostess and manager was walking around and walked past us twice and did not even aknowledge us. The hostess finally came to us and told us our table was not ready and asked if we wanted to be seated at the bar. We sat at the bar and had 2 drinks and they were mediocre considering it was 18 dollars a cocktail. Long story short, we got our entrees at 8:55pm. We were upset because we had to leave at 9:15 since our sitter had to leave at 9:30. We told our waiter and he said "oh, you should've told us you were in a rush". Wow. lol then we see the waiter tell the manager about our situation and of course the manager passes our table 5 times, but never says anything to us. Horrible. Our bill came out to $350 and we never got to enjoy our steaks because we had to take it to go after a few bites and had to take our desserts to go. Will never visit here again. Food was mediocre, service was horrible. read more

I had such high expectations for this restaurant. There is horrible service here and such a long wait to receive the food. I could not even here the waiters voice when he was saying the specials of the day. They even charged me for something I didn't even order. The waiters spilled glass over the floor and the glass landed on my foot. I waited over an hour to receive my check. Such a high volume of people and little staff to help. The music put me to sleep and it sounded as if a harp was playing. I will not be returning back to this restaurant. read more

I went here with my husband, his parents and my 12 and 11 year old kids. Wait wasn't bad however, the service was terrible. This was my 4th time coming here and the service was slow but we were having great conversation so we didn't mind. The waiter was carrying a full tray of drinks and somehow he slipped and the drinks fell over my 12 year old daughter's clothes! I immediately brought her to the bathroom to attempt to dry her off the waiter was apologetic and said they would make it right with the bill however when we got the bill they didn't take off the discount and tried to jerk us with a $1500 bill like not even a discount for terrible service and having my poor kid sit with wet clothes throughout the entire service while she pretended to be ok so everyone else would have a good time. The manager came out and said they took off a drink like really? Didnt even offer to pay for her dry clean bill. I will not ever go back there. read more

~Disclaimer: Holiday Party Function~ Service: Very attentive. Since my office was the only guests at this venue, we knew that we were going to be treated well from the beginning. We had reserved the bar and dining space for our private event and it was decorated beautifully since the space is usually not as decorative for a full dining service. Food: Speed Dating Version Reggiano Parmigiano - Perfectly Salty Prosciutto Crudo D Parma Dop - Delicious! Who can't resist having a bite. Filet Mignon - Since it was a holiday party, we were served from the whole tenderloin. Some parts over cooked, while some parts under. Farroe Islands Salmon - Tasted fishy but not in a good way. Creamed Kale - Smooth and creamy Vanilla Bean Cheesecake - Loved it! There were a few other items being pass around but were not present on the menu. If you ever see the coconut shrimp on the menu, get it!! I also notice a hand carver for the Jamon, so this would be worth a try for my next visit. On to my next food adventure... read more

I am gonna rank this at the top of my list out of the chain of restaurants, Opus, blackstone, insignia, ext. Absolutely amazing food and great service, super friendly and patient staff. read more

This place is absolutely gorgeous inside. Impressive entrance. Foyer and bars are a sight to be seen (mozzarella bar and bar bar). Staff was knowledgeable and attentive. The fish is the star here, with the prawns getting top-billing for the show. Sea bass was a close second. We couldn't bring ourselves to order steak here, but heard it's fantastic. When you dine at a place with a charcoal grill, life is good. I would have liked to see the charcoal grill, an open (charcoal) kitchen format would have been a nice touch. As well as a presentation of the proteins pre-cooking for a nice show. We happened to dine on a perfect weather night on the border of inside and outside, it was spectacular. We thought it would be a quiet, secluded evening, however ended up bumping into several friends and acquaintances. Food is very good, bussing was a little more efficient than necessary, service was perfectly friendly and attentive. Save room for dessert. Wow! Hazelnut gelato was on-point. Ambiance was great, not too loud, not too dark, tables were roomy and we had plenty of privacy. Great special occasion place. As for the other things, bathrooms and valet parking were done well. read more

This is a cavernous modern steakhouse with great steaks and very tasty sides. Service was good if a little rushed. Big bar scene with attractive bartenders. It's pretty loud, not intimate at all so better for groups. Steaks were tender, sides all very good, Drinks (we started at the bar) we're strong. read more

We came here for a birthday dinner with another couple who is having their wedding at opus next year. We had never been and they were excited for us to check it out. The food was fairly good, drinks were good as well, and the interior is beautiful. if that alone was being reviewed I'd say it falls in the 3-4 range depending on the items ordered(skip the bland calamari, definitely try the saganaki). The service was terrible, I mean to the point that it pissed us off and ruined the experience. The paired wait staff is great in theory, but they were completely disjointed and neither really seemed to care, it just left us with two people who were inattentive and unhelpful rather than one. The bus boys were 5x more helpful and attentive. We waited about 45 minutes for apps to get to the table after ordering, had to ask for water repeatedly, were brought out the wrong drinks twice, were completely unattended for an hour at one point. The part that ruined it was that we had 3 people with cleared plates and one person waiting to get food packed to go, we waited for 45 MINUTES and asked 3 times to get our food packed and the dessert menu. We repeatedly tried to wave down the waiters and even the manager who looked right at us and walked away. Absolutely crazy. There are so many fantastic steakhouses on Long Island, they seem way too comfortable being half assed. Our friends were left feeling frustrated and we were disappointed. All I can say is I hope the staff and mngt pulls it together in time for their wedding. read more

Poor management. Busboys clear table while people in party are still eating. Waiter sends over 3 of the same side dish, because 3 people ordered the same entree, and then argues that we all said we were having the same thing. We ordered the same entree, not the same side, which was enough for 3 people, not the nine people he brought and charged for, an then argued that's what we ordered, before agreeing to remove 2 of the sides. Then he brings the dessert menus when one person was still finishing their entree. They also somehow failed to give "Good Life" rewards credit 3 times in a row eating there. Management is clueless. Otherwise, food was good. read more

Amazing night with friends. We started off with salad & crab cake. We shared a Seafood platter that was delicious. All our dinners were so fresh. I had the Dover Sole with capers drizzle with olive oil and lemon. The Salmon was cooked just right. As well as the Bone In Filet. We ended the night with a platter of dessert that was wonderful. Wine selection is always great. Our waiters Harry @ Mike make a big difference with service & timing of all the food. They get 5 stars from us. We would highly recommend read more

Honestly, a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I had previously been here for an event and had a wonderful time then and the food was quite good. Skipping to dinner however, almost everything was burnt to a crisp. We ordered the octopus for an appetizer, and it was entirely charred and inedible. It was also served a top what looked like 3 day old shredded cabbage and tomatoes that were wilted and soggy. The crispy tuna we ordered tasted as of the crispy rice had been made hours ago and was soggy. Then skipping to the $98 wagyu strip we ordered medium rare and what we got again was a burnt to the crisp steak! I was so surprised considering the great experience previously had but this was a terrible dinner to say the least. read more

This place was phenomenal. Only went once but already in love and want to get married here! Went with a party of 7 and we were all very happy with the food and the service. Justin did an amazing job making sure all of us had everything we needed the entire time. Atmosphere was beautiful and chic. Most of us had the Sunday special which was a porter house for two and twin lobster tails, both amazing! Came with sides, appetizers and dessert. From beginning to end I was impressed the entire time. read more

We came to opus last August and absolutely loved it. They had a wide range of snake river farms steak options and they were great. We recently went back with high expectations because of our last experience, and we were completely let down. Unfortunately they took the snake river farms off the menu and replaced them with an overcooked+fatty+ low quality steak. When we asked about the SRF steaks now off the menu, they lied and told us they still were. The manager was uninterested and rude. We won't be coming back. The menu is not good anymore and the service was off. They need to be better. read more

I received a $50 gift card to this establishment and decided to take my parents out to eat. The food and drinks were great but after I paid I forgot about the gift card so I went back to see if I can get my $50 back and the waiter Henry took it from me and said "oh thank you that will make the tip better" when I did not say anything about adding my gift card to the tip. I obviously looked confused and preceded to tell me "you didn't tip well so I'm adding the card to the tip" and walked away. I didn't not want to make a science in front of my parents but I was highly offended. read more

Opus Steakhouse is our go-to spot for my husband's birthday every year, and it never disappoints! He absolutely loves the Wagyu steak and always looks forward to the special drink they have. We heard so much about One North that we decided to celebrate our anniversary there. When I first arrived I realized this location was the location Maine Maid Inn. The restaurant was completely renovated in an elegant upscale contemporary design. The space is huge compared to the other Scotto restaurants that I have dined at. They have an elevated glass enclosed wine cellar that is visible from every part of the restaurant. They also have a few gas fireplaces along with an outdoor patio. I believe this is that largest restaurant I have ever dined at on Long Island. Their menu has a Mediterranean flair with Italian touch. They have an extensive seafood selection that includes many of your favorite fish. They also provide some of my favorite Greek foods such as grilled octopus and barrel-aged feta cheese. We started the evening with cocktails and appetizers that were all very good, then we both ordered our entrée's. My dish the Farroe Islands Salmon was presented cooed perfectly. My partner ordered the African lobster tail which was very good but it was only one tail and the cost of the dish seem to be excessive. Also the escarole side we order was a very small portion. Other Scotto restaurants that I have dined at did not seem to present small portions of anything that we would have ordered. If one were to peruse through my Yelp dining experiences, one would note that I am not new to fine dining. Overall, I loved and I am glad that we finally dined at One North. It is quite an unbelievable restaurant. However, I will probably choose this restaurant in the future for business meetings with clients. read more

Came here for a pharm rep dinner with my coresidents. From looking it up prior i was under the impression they were known for their steak and seafood so I ordered the steak. They also had jumbo shrimp as appetizers. The shrimp was delicious and massive. The steak was disappointing because while it was made medium like I wanted, the outside was not cooked properly and did not have that crunch I was expecting. My colleagues who had the fish dishes from their menu on the otherhand said it was really good so maybe fish was the way to go with them. Overall I enjoyed my time here and our speakers was very knowledgeable and it was a pleasant night. The restaurant itself if quite nice and very spacious and well decorated. I dont think i would come back personally but if you enjoy seafood it could be worth trying out. read more

I went to One North about a week ago with my mother. We'd never heard of the place before, but we recieved 2 $40 coupons in the mail so we figured we'd try them out before they expired. The atmosphere was very nice. The restaurant is very fancy. However, when we arrived we were seated in the corner of the restaurant by the kitchen, even though there were many open tables since it weaseling late. We didn't make a big deal of that though. We both ordered the Grilled heritage chicken Milanese because it was one of the cheaper entres, and because we didn't fully read the description and thought it would be a pasta dish. I could've definitely done without the almonds, but the grilled chicken tasted so good and was done perfectly. The chocolate gold dessert was alright, not bad. read more

Ambience is nice. Food is really nothing special. I've been to other steakhouses with better food and cheaper than here. Would not go back.

All things considered pound-for-pound, Opus might be the best steakhouse in all of Long Island. If its not number one, it's absolutely top three. From the decor and ambiance through your last bite, it's a 5-star experience. The staff is friendly, warm and accommodating. The food, of course, is the real gem of it all. Appetizers wise we had west coast oysters, pineapple slab bacon, pepper crust wagyu steak ends, 600 day dry aged prosciutto, calamari and tuna sashimi dumplings. Each and every single one of those are highly recommended in my book especially the bacon, calamari and steak ends. As for the mains, we all enjoyed a steak of our choice. I had a perfect tempered NY Strip while others enjoyed the Rib-Eye or Porterhouse with sides of truffle mac, potato and shallot hash, whipped potatoes, brussel sprouts and mushrooms. For dessert we went with the crème brûlée, donuts and the tostada. Absolutely will be back ASAP! read more

Service is exceptional, that's where it ends. Ordered: Dozen oysters 6/10. almost had no brine The yellowtail 5/10. Slices were way too thick, the jalapeños were not spicy, the sauce was too salty therefore inedible, and the yellow was warm like it had been left out a while Burrata 3/10. The cheese was hard, the meatballs were spicy but had no other seasoning, the tomatoes carried the meatballs. Overall it's an average with great service and mediocre food. Gave leftovers to my dog...but hell eat anything. read more

This is an amazing restaurant for large family parties or even date night. The decor inside is gorgeous. We tried the tomahawk steaks to share, truffle Mac and cheese, pork belly, Caesar salad, French fries, shrimp tempura roll, octopus, and multiple entrees. The sea bass and rigatoni was very popular from our family. The steaks and I think truffle Mac and cheese are must orders. I was most excited about the octopus but I think that was okay. Hazelnut and pistachio gelato and cheesecake and coconut crème brûlée are all delicious. Service was great but we were there for about 4 hours for Father's Day dinner. read more

Been here a few times I do not think it is worth the price, the steaks and fish is great love both. Appetizers are alright, the octopus is my favorite ever. The resturant itself is absolute gorgeous, probably the nicest interior of any resturant in Long Island. The service isn't good, all the staff is extremely friendly but the service is slow and they forget stuff all the time which i normally don't care that much but this place is extremely expensive, when leaving a 20% tip on a 300$-400$ service should be flawless in my opinion. read more

It was really hard for me to justify a $39 sushi roll you could get at a sushi joint for half the price. I found the food to be average, but the prices above average. We went on Valentine's Day, so I wasn't expecting much, however, I was pleasantly surprised. Another Scotto restaurant, with a bit more variety than your normal steakhouse fare. I have to say, our service was exceptional. The sommelier was knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor, and the rest of the team was on point as well. It's pricey, but worth it in my humble opinion. More so than Blackstone and Prime. Neither one of us eat seafood, and we still thought so. Had burrata, and iberico ham. People like to be seen here. We were very satisfied with our choices - between the simple yet amazing table-side-made caprese salad and the lobster risotto, things were off to an amazing start. The specialty sushi roll was a mix of a spider roll with mango, scallion and crab meat-great! The rigatoni with beef brisket was phenomenal- very hearty, robust with flavor and filling. I left very full after sharing these four dishes with my partner. Service was great to start with, as we were the first few folks to start off the dinner rush. At the end, We opted to enjoy some single shot espressos to finish off the experience, which I would advise against as it tacked on an additional 30 minutes of our wait time paired with paying the bill. By this time of course, things were hopping and every table was filled. Any other time I probably wouldn't have minded waiting a bit and enjoying the company of my partner, but we had plans to get to a show and didn't realize this was a bad move on our part. Thus my advice would be to plan accordingly especially if its busy and just swing by a local coffee joint instead. The ambiance was great - stunning and high end feels that mimic a resort feel upon entry and wonderful smells. We will definitely be coming back here to enjoy the food and to try something new! read more

Second time having dinner at Opus. The food was not great and inconsistent for our party of 4. I ordered a Caesar salad with the salmon as an add on. The salad was very overdressed and mushy and the salmon although had a nice crispy skin the fish was mushy in the middle. It was too dark to see if it was undercooked. The service was not good either. I told the waiter I was allergic to shrimp and we ordered the fried calamari for the table as a starter and he didn't tell us it had shrimp in it. He comped the appetizer and a glass of wine to make up for it. Thank God my friend noticed the shrimp just as I was helping myself to some. I didn't notice the shrimp because it was dark and our heat lamp kept going off. She already had it in her plate. Finally the ambiance - the place is really pretty and except for the heat lamp and lighting the ambiance was very nice. Overall I expected more from Opus and won't be returning. read more
