Always love coming here. The service is always top tier. The food is consistent and delicious. The environment is high class and stunning. It is an experience coming. Right as you walk in you see a beautiful glass encased wine cellar above. You're greeted kindly. And when you sit down you are immediately attended to. Throughout the night the servers are always checking in on you. You will always have a great steak here. No matter the cut. Save room for dessert too! They always put a twist to standard classics that kick each one up a notch. There is valet parking. But you can also park your car yourself on the side too.

First time here. We had reservations for 8 which they honored pretty quickly. Place is spacious, there is a large circular bar in the center, decor is ecclectic. Very modern. My steak was ok. A bit pricey but it is a steakhouse so its to be expected. We had the mozzarella and caprese to start and they made the mozzarella table side. My porterhouse for 2 was ok. Too far for me to go back again. But it was a good experience. There is valet parking.

Took my wife here for the first time for a nice birthday celebration. Our server was top notch, we had plenty of questions and be was able to answer everything and steer us in the right direction. Food was very good steak was cooked medium rare to perfection. Sushi comes in big portions so just think of that before you order too much. Very nice inside plenty of seating and not too loud with the music which is always nice.

I've been to Opus Steakhouse several times, and the food is still off the charts -- no complaints there. But the service has noticeably declined. Throughout our meal, I had to ask for my water glass to be refilled multiple times -- something that was never an issue in the past. It felt like we were constantly trying to get someone's attention for basic service. Our waiter was doing his best, but he was sat with a table of 20 midway through our dinner and had no support staff helping him until I saw him go to management. Even then, things didn't improve much. Items we ordered never made it out of the kitchen, and it took far too long for our plates to be cleared and for dessert to be offered. I still recommend Opus for the food, but they need to get the service back to the level that made it such a standout in the first place.

One of my favorite steakhouses in NY! I've been here a few times already, and I always have a wonderful experience. I came here again recently for my birthday, and we got oysters, thick cut bacon, and a porterhouse. Everything was absolutely delicious, and service was great (as usual). I'm also a big dirty martini girl, and they make some of the best here. I would eat here every week if I could!

As soon as I walked into Opus I fell in love with the ambiance. As we waited for some friends to arrive my husband and I enjoyed a cocktail by the bar. Everything we ate was delectable. The food at Opus is top tier however the service was a little slow.

The place is beautiful with great decor and very comfortable , the staff very friendly and attentive, and the food was very good . The only thing we didn't like, we felt rushed we were still eating the desert when they bring the check .

Expensive yes. Service is excellent. The wagyu steak was excellent. The cocktails and wine list excellent. Decor is very nice. The oysters were delicious and so was the tuna tartar.

I received a gift card for my bday to Opus . Not much but enough for a dessert so we decided to try it . We walked in the ambiance was beautiful, it was large , the furniture and decorations were modern . We were seated instantly. We started with the Alaskan king crab leg appetizer. It was perfect. Then I got the dove fish which I wasn't a fan of but it's ok they switched it for the Bronzino which was delicious . My husband got the waygu special steak . He loved it . And for dessert we shared a cheese cake. It's a bit pricey but definitely worth it and they offer valet . The service was spectacular.

Opus is, hands down, one of my favorite steakhouses on the island. It's always a great experience whenever we visit and the food and service is always fabulous! It has a very relaxed vibe, especially in the evenings when they dim the lights, and is a great place to enjoy dinner and drinks with friends or loved ones. I highly recommend That's Amore - it's a wonderful fruity drink that's always easy to finish. My absolute go-to apps are the Australian Lamb Chops and Spanish Octopus! They are both fantastic apps, especially the Lamb Chops, which are always so tender and soft and well seasoned. We switch around entrees whenever we visit but I love the Porterhouse for Two and Pork Chop. Both are excellent entrees, although I do enjoy their specials, particularly their Cowgirl ribeye. Our last visit, we tried the Squid Ink Pasta, which was absolutely delicious! Our must-have dessert is their Coconut Creme Brulee, which is just the right level of sweetness. I cannot recommend this spot enough - it's one of my go-to spots for delicious steak and good food and vibes!

What is the vibe at the bar like on a Thursday night?

LOUD! More of an older crowd too.

On friday nights and Saturdays nights does it change into a club? If so what type of music?

Friday nights there's a DJ playing top hits, definitely club like in the bar area. DJ starts at 8pm on Fridays, no DJ Saturday.

During the winter months I'd do takeout and every time the food was great at home. I love their soba noodles salad when it's in season, however they switched to a different noodle and it doesn't have the same oomph! The owner recognizes me from all the times I've been there for dining in, takeout, called, and parties and events. I went there again last night with some family and overall it was very nice. One star deduction for the rudeness we received from the manager. She came over after we ordered a second bottle of the Freemark Abbey (wine) (as they were completely out and the first bottle we ordered was their last bottle in stock) and gave us two "similar" options that were around the same price of the first bottle. Price doesn't equal to taste. We first asked if it's okay to try it even if we may not like it, and she kindly proceeded to open the bottle. We said "no thanks," to the Keever (it tasted disgusting in comparison), which she and her colleague highly suggested, and we asked nicely if the other bottle was an option to try, but she swiftly walked back inside with both bottles and brought out an open bottle of the Katherine Cab. We liked that better. She stormed away after she said something fast and nasty like "It's either the bottle or you have to pay per glass." We didn't quite catch it but the ultimatum put a bad taste in everyone's mouths. We wound up ordering the Katherine Cab. When we got the bill the server charged us fairly. We tipped well because it's not the server's fault she was upset about opening the wine that she pushed. Happy eats!

My friend ended up ordering the Short Rib Bolognese and I ordered the Shrimp Tagliatelle. I was told the tagliatelle was made in house and it was absolutely delicious and DID in fact taste like it was freshly made! I tried some of my friends dish and there was a lot of meat in her dish (a positive!) and it was also extremely delicious! Bonus is that this restaurant is a few stores down from Marshalls and I'm a HUGE fan of Marshalls so I went there after to walk off everything I ate as well as shop :)

Our waitress was responsive to whatever we needed. The prices are a little high for the portion size, but the food is great quality. My vinho verde was a nice size pour. My husband loved the Iberian ham here. We both had the garlic shrimp which were very well flavored but unfortunately didn't have even one garlic clove, which was disappointing and there were only 6 shrimp. The olive oil they were in was great though and we dipped our food into it and they were perfectly cooked. The paella is supposed to be for 2-4 people which I can see if you have more tapas but we finished it off. It came with a healthy amount of shrimp, grilled calamari and chorizo and was perfectly seasoned. We also appreciated how the rice was a bit crispy and not mushy. They also have a weekday happy hour before 6pm that looks good with deals on booze. Really enjoyed this spot! Conveniently located in the middle of garden city with ample free parking.

We were seated immediately in the room toward the back left corner where we were the only table occupying the space. In fact, as the evening progressed, no other diners/groups were seated back there, which was nice. We observed that although it was a Friday evening at prime dinner hour, the restaurant never got too full nor was the bar area buzzing. Again, it was nice that it wasn't so hectic in there, but we noted that as curious for a spot like this, on a Friday evening, and when the weather was pleasant. Starting with a high point: our server was really good. He was a very nice young man who let us know at the end of our meal that it was actually his first day on the job. While we could tell he didn't know everything about the menu - which is totally understandable given him being a new hire - he was kind, personable, and went above and beyond to provide excellent and timely service. As for the venue, it was nice although not upscale and that was just our speed for this evening. We loved having the room to sit comfortably at a setup that could comfortably seat 8. As for the food, it was decent although I wouldn't call anything I tasted fantastic. For apps, we shared 2 orders apiece of calamari, crab cakes, and lamb chops (6 apps total) with the chops being my favorite out of those. The calamari were small and didn't pack a lot of flavor but they were fried well. The marinara sauce that came with it was also fine but not remarkable. The crab cakes were a little mushy for our liking. For my entrée, I ordered the Lobster Rigatoni. There was plenty of lobster on top, the portion was more than solid, and it came out at the right temperature but the flavor again failed to really impress and was somewhere between "fine" to "good". For dessert, I ordered the chocolate lava cake, and I was truly disappointed by that. For starters, there was no gooey "lava" as the name implied, and the edges were dry and seemed overcooked. The flavor again fell a little flat and I didn't bother to finish it even though I am usually a huge fan of chocolate desserts. All in all, we had an enjoyable evening as a crew, but the food could be elevated a bit from a flavor standpoint. I would give the food a little better than a "3" but I think they have enough going for them that amping up the flavors could do wonders for their desirability and drawing more diners.

The Hufflepuff was bourbon forward and reminded me of an Old Fashioned which further confirmed that is truly my house. It also came with an edible golden snitch. The server pointed it out before I gave them what I thought to be decor. I popped the chocolate golden snitch in my mouth after being directed to take the wrapping off first. We then did butterbeer shots and I can't even begin to tell you how delish they were...dangerously delicious. Food was had and it wasn't anything to write about but I'll try. Queso dip is made in house, which I respect. Loaded potato wontons were a great idea and were probably the best things on the table. You can't go wrong with pretzel nuggets. Chocolate cake is never a bad idea. I ended my visit with a chocolate frog drink. Very similar to an espresso martini. You know how hot they are right now. It came with a an actual chocolate frog which was nice. Finally one of the staff members came over to help us play Bertie Botts and we all picked a jellybean. I got lemon. Some of us got soap and warwax. So fun! It was so good, we are going to try to snag another rez for trivia. Reservations are for 90 minute seatings.
