I generally don't leave reviews, but I must say that this is a proper way to show my appreciation of their professionalism. My problem started on Mon 2/01/2021 at 6pm during the snow storm of a decade. My tenant called me and told me that the HVAC failed so he had no heat. I went into PANIC mode. I texted Sergey right away (I used them once before). He responded within 10mins. I was sooo relieved to see his text. He said they would try their best to be there the next day. The very next day, Tues 2/02/2021, while the whole City of NY was still digging out of over 18" of snow and ice, Optimize Air showed up at noon (1 hour earlier than promised) to diagnose the problem. Many others whom I called did not even bother to pick up the phone. The HVAC condenser unit needed a part so they ordered it right away while I provided portable heaters to my tenant. On Friday 2/05/2021, Sergey was polite enough to let me know that the techician was running a bit late. In the end, everything was fixed just as they promised at a very reasonable price. My tenant is happy. I am happy. Thumbs up to Optimize Air for helping me in such a difficult situation. I would totally recommend them if you have a split air HVAC system. My husband and I have been looking for a year to get ductless ac installed and have quotes ranging from extremely low costs to very high costs. We looked at companies that have completed ductless ac installations for years and they really upscale the charge (we researched our own prices and had a number of quotes to compare against). Additionally, we wanted specifically Mitsubishi ductless ac and many companies we came across kept pushing us towards other brands or even refurbished or outdated models! Make sure you check your model numbers and do your research! We came across Optimize Air and have finally found a reputable, reliable, and very honest company, a rarity in this day and age. Sergey and his team were fantastic from start to finish! The quote they gave us was very reasonable and he works with you on what you need, without ever being pushy or telling you to get what they would most profit from. He really works with the customer and is very responsive to emails and texts/calls. It was very impressive! The job was completed on time, they cleaned up, and took all the garbage from the site! They tested the system (3 zones) and everything was working well. The electrical work was really well done! We noticed a few days later the duct wasn't as asthetically pleasing as we wanted it to be and Sergey responded immediately with solutions!! We couldn't believe a company responded back and came back to meet our needs quickly (esp. on a day when it was storming too)!! We didn't have to wait long for them to come fix it! We had a mini-split system installed late in the fall by a different contractor and as the weather heated up and we used the AC more, a unit iced up out of the blue and other units never got very cold. I found Optimize Air on Yelp and liked the reviews and they were spot on. They carefully investigated the problem and noticed that not only was the system low on refrigerant, but that the pattern of high and low pressures when running and the pattern of tubes at the compressor frosting up suggested the units had mixed up wiring that would open valves to units that weren't running. Once the wiring was fixed and refrigerant topped up, the system has been working great! It's been a couple months and I'm really happy with the work. I appreciated that they didn't just add refrigerant, take my money and leave, but investigated thoroughly until they found the real underlying problem. Sergey was the first to show up, listened and understood exactly what I needed and then presented me with different options... he quoted me 3 different fair prices, gave me the advantages and disadvantages of each system which allowed me to have an educated choice. On installation day, the guys showed up on time and were very professional. The job involved removing an old mini-split setup from my finished basement and replacing with a new system. They removed the old system installed the new one in just a few hours. They did not leave any trash and actually swept up a bit both inside and out. They took the time to encase the lines outside the house in an attractive way that blends into the siding. They also drilled an extra hole through the foundation in order to properly route the condensate line outside (previous installation had this line dripping into the basement floor). I thought that might have cost me extra but it did not. These guys are pros and take pride in their work. They wanted it done right as much as I wanted it done right! read more
