We were greeted warmly and were provided with great customer service (thanks, Sarah!) The shop wasn't crowded and people were properly masked. I brought in a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses to have prescription lenses installed. I specifically told the owner, Phil B., that I planned to have cataract surgery within a year and would want the original Ray-Ban lenses put back in afterward. When I picked up my glasses, the original Ray-Ban lenses were missing. I was assured they would contact the lab and resolve the issue. After several follow-up calls, Carlos was not only unhelpful but also rude, repeatedly telling me to be patient and that it would take time. Two weeks later, I spoke with Phil, who promised he would replace the lenses. I even contacted Ray-Ban myself and learned replacement lenses would cost about $140. Over the next six months, every time I called for an update, Phil said he would order the replacement lenses and get back to me, but nothing ever happened. After being a loyal customer for years, I expected better. Instead, I was met with rude customer service, excuse after excuse, and promises that were never kept. More than six months later, the issue remains unresolved. Extremely disappointing experience.

Inside is a bright and welcoming lobby. My eye exam went smoothly and Dr. Nguyen showed me the images of my Meibomian glands, which indicated that I had a stye in both my upper and lower eyelids. No wonder the swelling was so bad... I was sold on a special moist eye compress mask and did not purchase any frames or lenses during my visit as I had to get back to work. The eye compress price was comparable to Amazon's. The office staff were even considerate enough to give me some sun filters after the dilation for my drive home as I'd forgotten my sunglasses. Overall, a very pleasant visit, about an hour and some change because of the dilation time for a new patient. Would come back again!

I made our annual appointment for 2025 recently and had to cancel because the whole family got sick. I had an appointment for all 3 of us on the same day and I had to cancel. They usually were accommodating for my family. But, when I called to reschedule, I was told they no longer can do 3 at a time and would have to split it. I found that weird but-- I was ok with that. So I rescheduled and I usually make appointments to hold the date, then check with my husband if that would work for him. And usually it's ok. But I did mention to Marissa that I have to check with my husband and if it doesn't work, I may have to cancel. And for the past 2 decades I've been making ANNUAL eye appointments for my family-- this was the first time I've ever heard of a dental office telling me that if I keep canceling, we would need be on a walk-in basis. Her tone was condescending and I can tell she had a problem it. First of all, scheduling and rescheduling is your job! To accommodate customers. That was enough for me to not want to see them ever again. Nothing on the optometrist, it's all the front desk issues. So I called to cancel my appointment and informed Marissa that we will no longer continue to go to them. And all this woman said, "ok." That right there shows a lot. Not wanting to know the reason and not trying to keep customers. It's sad that just because the front desk is a certain way, your boss lost 3 customers. No thank you.

Dr. Lee explained what her reasoning was for every step of the exam and tailored the exam to my needs with lots of communication, while her techs did a lot of the work so she could focus on interacting with me. I've never had such a quick vision exam before and I've been severely myopic since age 5. The clinic is also equipped with a lot of instruments that make routine exams quick and easy-- they can even tell the prescription on your glasses from simply examining your lenses. The fundus exam was painless and easy compared to past fundus exams I've had and for a new patient, it is free. If you plan to get a new frame at vision optique, they have a decent selection of frames of various styles, from Kate spade to Tom ford or Gucci, ranging from 200-400 dollars (at least from the ones I inspected). The clinic is located inside of a larger mall and they have 8 assigned parking spaces just for vision optique (several were available when I visited on a weekday afternoon). There is no bathroom on the first flooor and you must venture upstairs for it. I've been to many optometrists and rarely do I find one that is so professional and kind. At vision optique, your vision exam will be done in the blink of an eye!

Today I went in for my appointment, I called ahead of time to let them know that I would be a few minutes late. The staff once again was very pleasant and very accommodating. I completed the paperwork and waited just a few moments. When the technician asked me to come back to do the initial eye exams. The equipment was in an open concept area. There was a woman and man in a business conversation. The man's voice was very loud. The two people were clearly engaged in a conversation related to the business of this particular location and franchise. For the first exam, they were directly behind me talking very loudly. Making it very difficult to concentrate on what the tech was asking me to do and also making it difficult for me to hear her speak to me. We proceeded to the second exam, which was two part. Again, the man and woman were standing directly behind me having a very loud in-depth business conversation. Making it excessively difficult to concentrate on the particular exam for peripheral vision. I expressed my concern to the tech about how disruptive it was and how difficult it was to concentrate. She was very kind and apologized and offered me to wait until they finish the conversation. The man and woman proceeded to the showroom, but were still very loud and disruptive. I completed the second part of the second exam. I once again in a respectful manner expressed my concern over the disruption. And then I ask, is that the doctor? Indeed, the woman engaged in this conversation in the earshot of customers was the doctor. I was so offended by the unprofessionalism I let the young lady know I was leaving. I'm very disappointed that I was compelled to leave as I was prepared to buy a complete frame and lenses for regular glasses and I had a bag of design designer frames that I wanted to get new lenses for. The estimated cost for what I wanted to do Wood would have been well in excessive $2000. I am totally amazed, that someone in this position and level of education, would hold such a conversation in earshot of customers. It was clearly a conversation that should have probably been behind closed doors. Details about the business and productivity are not conversation that should've been in front of customers or employees.

I recently visited Optical Edge, Eye Care for an eye exam & I can confidently say that this is one of the best optometrist appointments I've ever had. Richard gave me a courtesy reminder call & I also got reminder texts from Lan. From the moment I walked in the door, the staff greeted me with a warm smile and a friendly attitude, and that welcoming feeling continued throughout my entire appointment. The office is modern and well-decorated, with a comfortable waiting area and state-of-the-art equipment. Dr. Esther Chiu is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly, making sure that I understood everything about my eye health. Most importantly, Dr. Chiu was incredibly patient and caring throughout the entire process. I brought in my previous prescription from a different place and it was actually much higher than what I needed. Dr. Chiu also came up with a treatment plan for my dry eyes and recommended some brands to me. I had a tough time picking out some frames & she was very helpful for that as well. I don't normally write reviews, but I had to give a shoutout to Optical Edge for the SUPERB service my husband and I received this morning! The entire staff was very courteous and accommodating from the moment we entered to the time we left. For one thing, there are refrigerated beverages, coffee, and snacks for patients in the waiting room--I've never seen that before in a medical environment. Additionally, my husband and I felt that Dr. Nguyen, her husband Simon, and Stephanie were all very kind and created a personal connection with us. Normally, I am in and out the door at other eye doctor offices, but it was not the case here because we kept having a very friendly, casual conversation with Simon. As a plus, we are so glad that this location is right near our house! Makes it easier to actually WANT to go to the doctor.....ha! Another awesome thing was that Simon helped each of us find the perfect pair of glasses and even offered me a slight discount! Wow! Many many thanks, Optical Edge! Great staff and amazing service! The office is very chic with a wide variety of frames on display. They are very accommodating to their clients with such pleasant and friendly staff. Dr. Nguyen went above and beyond the line of duty when it came to addressing all of my concerns. I have had very bad experiences when requesting for contacts from previous doctors but Dr. Nguyen helped me determine the issues and picked out the best contacts suited for me. I could not be happier with the service and professionalism of Dr. Regina Nguyen and her staff. My whole family of four have initially switched from a very reputable Coastal Eye Associates to Optical Edge because of the shorter appointment waiting time, but we have since discovered that their eyeglass dispensing time is also significantly shorter and certainly the service is much more personable. They have an optical lens laboratory on site, a top notch equipment, and a great selection of frames. This truly is a 21'st century business and we are so lucky to have it right here in Clear Lake! read more

My appointment with Regina was the best experience I've had at an eye doctor. Her office is SUPER trendy, clean and organized- it feels very calm and serene. She has all of the latest technology which made me feel even more confident that I was getting the most thorough exam possible. So far not a good experience! Lenses took weeks too long to receive. Never called me, I had to call…read morethem and push them about it, then bingo the next day they call to say they're ready! Worse once I got them I told the "optician" I could not see out of the computer glass pair, and she kept insisting it was something I would have to get used to. I explained these are not progressive glasses that you have to get used to. They should work when I put them on. She insisted the Doctor requires a four week follow up. I said I can't wait four weeks!!! I have to work and read and write contracts for a living. I need to see now. She said it was afternoon and maybe my eyes were tired to try again in the morning. I did and had the same problem, I spent at least $1500 plus on two pairs of glasses! The next day after I take them home, I had to go to my regular eye doctor and have them take those lenses out and put my old ones back in one pair so I could see and work over the weekend! I then tried to wear the computer glasses a few more times but never worked. I then called multiple times no answer!!! So I sent a detailed email requesting a response or to speak with the doctor because I live an hour away. I also left a voicemail, and again a voicemail the next day. Now 48 hours still no reply!!! So I called again the third time and at 2:30 PM was told both doctors were out of the office. I asked why no one has called me or responded to my email and the receptionist said the 2 doctors/owners are both very busy with patients all day. I asked when can I expect to hear back from them tomorrow? She said she doesn't know because they're both very busy all day. I said tomorrow's Friday, so am I supposed to do wait through the whole weekend and just see what happens next week?! Pathetic customer service and no way to treat patients in need of glasses spending thousands! They say their Theralense company is Superior for those needing prisms. Apparently here's ZERO expected follow up with the doctor for one month after the optician gives you your glasses! Beware! There's apparently few BVD binocular vision disorder (or miss alignment problem in my case) specialty doctors, which is why I engaged here. But there was another I found in Tomball, may have to check out. They say zero refunds also!!! BEWARE!!! I'm now referring to these doctors as the Wizards of Oz because they're behind an iron curtain and impossible to engage with beyond your initial visit. At least my experience so far. Really pathetic when you spent so much time and money that the opticians and receptionist are super flipping and you can't get any answers or return calls or emails about your concerns, or next steps to take!!!
