Hehe. How orange can I be?
Lou C.

I came to Eye Impact annually for so many years for eye exams and spectacle replacements. I love this place because it's consistent with everyone's wellbeing. Especially during CoVid-19 Pandemic since 2020 and Delta Variant of 2021, they took good care of the employees and patients by following the protocols provided by CDC. I am very grateful for taking a few more steps to keep everyone safe before entering the store. I am used to calling from outside before entering a doctor's office. There is a limit of one or two customers at the same time. They don't check the temperature any more. But they ask customers to wash their hands before touching anything. They even installed a UV filtration system in the waiting room. (I am glad Amy D voiced her opinion about her displeasure.) Last year, I came to find out how to treat dry eyes. Since working from home, I spent hours and hours in front of computer monitors. I needed something called a "blue light blocker" as seen on the Internet. Dr. Nguyen recommended Zocular treatment and eye compress moist heat mask. I bought ZocuWipe and ZocuFoam. I like foam one better because I can control how much I use. These are all covered by FSA. If you want an optometrist to be on your care team, choose Eye Impact. The staff is very knowledgeable, the frames are really fashionable and reasonably priced.

Was in search of a new office and found this one based on the wonderful reviews. Thanks Yelp Family, you were spot on. I hadn't visited pre-COVID but I get the impression that this office is clean and efficient regardless. However, COVID times call for different measures and this office accepted the challenge gracefully. Based on my needs, I had to visit the office 3 separate days and each time they consistently provided good safe and clean customer service practices. I also appreciated the streamlined process with what seemed like more efficient equipment. There were no clunky or old machines that take up the space of an entire room which gave the impression that this team was current and providing up-to-date and accurate care. I had no billing issues which is always a plus and everyone was friendly each visit. There's even a cute pup hanging out quietly while you wait in the posh looking modern wait area. Such a uniques experience.

Now tell me these frames aren't the bomb.com

I'm 30+, moved to Texas and while exchanging my CA drivers license I failed the "vision test" I immediately left and found the closest Optometrist to my home and from the moment I walked in the door, I felt a genuine sense of relief. The team was so nice, cordial, conversative, and attentive. I would go back just for the atmosphere and conversation. Dr. Jonathan Tsao is excellent, everything you'd hope for in a highly qualified optometrist. I have 4 in-stock frames that I've purchased and 2 I've ordered and will have eye theory order lenses for. You can bring any frame you've loved including cheap $2 sunglasses from gas stations you're fond of. Every time I find out I have to stop by Eye Theory, I get as excited as going to my favourite Haircutters. You will too =) Yes, the prices are high, but the technology, courtesy, attention, and deals are so good, I've set them up as my primary vision services provider (VSP) for my DeltaVision benefits. Lenses are polycarbonate, free Blue Light and Anti-glare upgrades. Lenses within 5-7 business days. I'm very happy with the professionalism and courtesy of the team. 10 out of 10, physically unbeatable =)

It's not only a great location but it's well organized & clean! The staff is so incredibly kind & knowledgeable. It's inclusive & I felt so comfortable. Dr. Lovero is fantastic! They have a great selection of frames but I love how I didn't feel pressured to make a decision. Overall just a five star experience! I highly recommend. I walked in very nervous & with high anxiety but walked out with a smile & able to see!

I kind of rolled my eyes, because it sounded too good to be true. But I tried it at her recommendation and I will say, I was impressed at first. The customer service was top notch and like nothing I had ever experienced at an optometrist office. I was not expecting to spend $1,000 on glasses but I did. Dr. Paul took his time and you could tell he really cared and was passionate about his profession. The equipment and technology was cool too. I felt like I was in a science museum. That was my first visit. The second visit was good too, and my eyesight hadn't changed. Dr. Paul brought up contacts but I told him that contacts made my eyes itch and he asked me about the kind I had prior and I shared reusable. He recommended daily contacts. I tried on a trial and liked them. I had also mentioned LASIK and he gave me a recommendation for a specialist that he trusted. Here's where things go south--I decide to get contacts. I ask, "what's the difference between getting an annual supply vs. a 3 month supply?" The lady says not a difference really it's just that the annuals are slightly cheaper. Since I was considering LASIK, I asked her what the price was for a 3 month supply? She said $99 and I said, "okay and if I get more contacts in 3 months, how much will it be?" She said it'll only be $99 and repeated that it was only cheaper if I did annual but it'd be the same price for another 3 month supply. This was about 3 months ago. So I send a text the day after Memorial Day asking for an invoice for another 3 month supply. I'm now told it's $250 not $99. I told the lady that I was confused, because the price is more than double the price. I called the office because sometimes things are better said over phone than text. The lady answers and I share with her what happened and she puts me on hold for about 15 minutes to ask her manager. She tells me that the manager Marisol (I think that's what she said her name was) is out to lunch and she'll give me a call back. I didn't receive a call back but a text message saying they apologize for the miscommunication on their end but it was always $250 and the insurance made it $99 and I'd need to wait until 2024 to get more contacts if I wanted to pay $99. I asked for what I was told initially to be honored and was told that the manager, Dr. Paul would not honor it and to let them know if I needed anything else. So you tell me one price, it isn't accurate and instead of honoring it or meeting me halfway, it's more of a too bad, so sad response. I'm always surprised how business owners will lose dollars, trying to save pennies. Nevertheless, I no longer recommend this practice as telling a client one price and then changing on them later isn't in integrity. If you decide to go here, I'd recommend getting all charges in writing. I'm sad to say that I will not be returning due to that bat and switch experience. -------------------- UPDATE: DR. PAUL MADE IT RIGHT. He also clarified some things, and I'm clear, happy and will continue coming back!!! Mistakes and miscommunications happen but how you handle them is what you sets you apart. Thank you Dr. Paul and team!

Dr. Lee explained what her reasoning was for every step of the exam and tailored the exam to my needs with lots of communication, while her techs did a lot of the work so she could focus on interacting with me. I've never had such a quick vision exam before and I've been severely myopic since age 5. The clinic is also equipped with a lot of instruments that make routine exams quick and easy-- they can even tell the prescription on your glasses from simply examining your lenses. The fundus exam was painless and easy compared to past fundus exams I've had and for a new patient, it is free. If you plan to get a new frame at vision optique, they have a decent selection of frames of various styles, from Kate spade to Tom ford or Gucci, ranging from 200-400 dollars (at least from the ones I inspected). The clinic is located inside of a larger mall and they have 8 assigned parking spaces just for vision optique (several were available when I visited on a weekday afternoon). There is no bathroom on the first flooor and you must venture upstairs for it. I've been to many optometrists and rarely do I find one that is so professional and kind. At vision optique, your vision exam will be done in the blink of an eye!

I've also been in search of a new eye doctor. Marco, the gentleman that greeted me was very professional and very accommodating. I made the decision to set an appointment. Today I went in for my appointment, I called ahead of time to let them know that I would be a few minutes late. The staff once again was very pleasant and very accommodating. I completed the paperwork and waited just a few moments. When the technician asked me to come back to do the initial eye exams. The equipment was in an open concept area. There was a woman and man in a business conversation. The man's voice was very loud. The two people were clearly engaged in a conversation related to the business of this particular location and franchise. For the first exam, they were directly behind me talking very loudly. Making it very difficult to concentrate on what the tech was asking me to do and also making it difficult for me to hear her speak to me. We proceeded to the second exam, which was two part. Again, the man and woman were standing directly behind me having a very loud in-depth business conversation. Making it excessively difficult to concentrate on the particular exam for peripheral vision. I expressed my concern to the tech about how disruptive it was and how difficult it was to concentrate. She was very kind and apologized and offered me to wait until they finish the conversation. The man and woman proceeded to the showroom, but were still very loud and disruptive. I completed the second part of the second exam. I once again in a respectful manner expressed my concern over the disruption. And then I ask, is that the doctor? Indeed, the woman engaged in this conversation in the earshot of customers was the doctor. I was so offended by the unprofessionalism I let the young lady know I was leaving. I'm very disappointed that I was compelled to leave as I was prepared to buy a complete frame and lenses for regular glasses and I had a bag of design designer frames that I wanted to get new lenses for. The estimated cost for what I wanted to do Wood would have been well in excessive $2000. I am totally amazed, that someone in this position and level of education, would hold such a conversation in earshot of customers. It was clearly a conversation that should have probably been behind closed doors. Details about the business and productivity are not conversation that should've been in front of customers or employees.
