I visited vision optique recently and saw Dr. Brigitte Shen Lee. The eye exam was exceptionally swift and all the techs were professional and friendly. Dr. Lee explained what her reasoning was for every step of the exam and tailored the exam to my needs with lots of communication, while her techs did a lot of the work so she could focus on interacting with me. I've never had such a quick vision exam before and I've been severely myopic since age 5. The clinic is also equipped with a lot of instruments that make routine exams quick and easy-- they can even tell the prescription on your glasses from simply examining your lenses. The fundus exam was painless and easy compared to past fundus exams I've had and for a new patient, it is free. If you plan to get a new frame at vision optique, they have a decent selection of frames of various styles, from Kate spade to Tom ford or Gucci, ranging from 200-400 dollars (at least from the ones I inspected). The clinic is located inside of a larger mall and they have 8 assigned parking spaces just for vision optique (several were available when I visited on a weekday afternoon). There is no bathroom on the first flooor and you must venture upstairs for it. I've been to many optometrists and rarely do I find one that is so professional and kind. No just no. This place nickel and dimes you. If you have astigmatism or multifocals (I have astigmatism) they upcharge you $150-$190 out of pocket for the contact lens fitting in addition to your copay. That's awful. Look through their reviews and you'll find similar comments. read more

Both are awesome! During my first appointment, Dr. Lee was great and was super focused in helping treat my eye infection. After that appointment, Dr. Lee referred Dr. Owens to me since she knew she wasn't going to be available the following week, which was really responsible of her. I needed to get my vision checked and decided to give this place a chance. Made an appointment here 1 week and half in advance. 3 days before my appointment I get a call saying they had "ACCIDENTALLY" booked me at a time the Doctor was performing LASIK surgery and now my appointment needed to be pushed back 2 weeks as there were no other openings. How was this missed? And why was a notified so late? In other words, they found a patient who was going to bring the practice more $$ (LASIK) and they decided to give them my spot. Totally unethical business practice. In addition turns out this place doesn't even perform LASIK, they get referral commission for sending their patients to another location, which I will not name. SKETCH business practices to say the least. Thanks for being incompetent, I was able to find a really good optometrist and took my business elsewhere. read more

I strongly recommend Vision Optique and their "over and beyond "customer service!! Today started as any other day, except that I had a spec of dust/dirt suddenly get into my eye. No amount of blinking or home-remedy eye washing could flush my eye. We texted Dr. Lee and she agreed it was an emergency and to meet her at her clinic. When I got there, she made sure I didn't have to open the door or touch unnecessary items. She made me wash my hands before treatment started and that I was already wearing a mask. She then washed her hands again and shared with me her ritual for disinfecting the exam room. Her mannerisms make you feel at ease, even as numbing drops are placed in your eye or as bright lights shine into dilated pupils. She saw the spec of dust / dirt and was able to remove it quickly. Upon leaving, she made sure I knew which drops to pick up at Kroger's and how often to use them to complete the treatment. He was very knowledgeable, warm, professional and I would be happy to recommend him to my friends and family. Additionally, I was truly impressed with Micah Moore, the optical manager. When there was a delay caused by the lab (no fault on the part of Vision Optique), Micah went above and beyond to resolve the issue. I love this place! I have been going to this office for about 4 years now, and I'm still impressed with the professionalism and care shown to their customers/clients. I saw Dr. Ngo last week and she was so thorough and took the time to explain everything so I could easily understand as she went through her assessments with me. Vision Optique has the latest/greatest equipment to help diagnose and prevent further progression of various eye conditions. They have a machine which maps your Retina which doesn't require eye drops to dilate your pupils. They also have a new machine this year which scans and assesses your eye for problems related to dry eyes. I also wanted to mention that buying my glasses here paid off! I had an accident at work and both of the lens cracked. I thought I would have to buy another pair altogether, but when I spoke to the receptionist she told me that all of their glasses have warranty, and all I had to pay was a minimal service fee (I think it was only about $10-$20) to have them repaired & lenses replaced! I was so happy! I would highly recommend this office!!! read more

I went to Vision Optique because a coworker recommended them. Dr. Owens and the entire staff is amazing! I have optical issues, and regularly visit my retinologist. I also have had a lot of previous experiences from opticians filling my glasses and contacts prescriptions with an exorbitant price or inaccurate script. My experiences with the entire staff at Vision Optique are the complete opposite! I am never going anywhere else! I discussed my eye conditions with Dr. Owens, who not only was he familiar with, but made suggestions to me to discuss with my retinologist. All of the doctors I was working with in the medical center with, Dr. Owens had professional connections with. His exam for glasses and contacts - my one-on-one time with just Dr. Owens - was over an hour. VERY thorough! Moving onto Micah and his office staff: they knew about it all! Micah was knowledgeable about trendy frames, asked about my job and computer screen time, budget issues, latest technology and pricing VS. necessity, quality of products from different labs in regards to glare shield, scratch resistance, thickness of lenses, etc. He presented the details of my insurance coverage and gave suggestions on how to make the most out of my coverage. I never felt pressured, I never felt I was anything except I was their #1 patient! I wish I could give 10 stars to Vision Optique! Both Dr. Owens and Dr. Lee are amazing and extremely knowledgable optometrists. Their staff is also fantastic and efficient. As previously mentioned, I am new to Houston so I needed a new optometrist. I am so happy I found Vision Optique. I saw Dr. Owens who is intelligent, very up to date on the latest eye/vision research, hilarious and is the nicest guy ever! I also got to meet Dr. Lee who is also very sweet and is very well informed on anti-aging eye care and aesthetics. As an Asian woman, I really value this and want all the information I can get on reducing my dark circles and under eye bags safely! I love that both Dr. Owens and Dr. Lee take the time to listen to your thoughts and concerns and are truly caring people. My first impression of their office was very positive. It was clean, conveyed friendliness, professionalism, and organization. They also have quite the selection of eyewear - Chanel, Tom Ford, Dior. Love it! Their equipment is impressive. They have the latest and top of the line for imaging. No more having air blown into my eyes or having my pupils dilated with drops! Wait for me was only 10 minutes and they seemed extremely busy. Found Vision Optique as a result of their amazing reviews on Yelp; felt compelled to come back and provide my own 5-star review. The experience starts right when you walk in. The place is clean and the people at the front are very friendly. I've never had to wait long. Maybe it's standard practice (?), but I love that they employee optometry students to get you going right away and to help with preliminary measurements. Both times, I was seen by Dr. Owens. I cannot say enough about friendly and thorough he is. He made feel extremely comfortable, listened to all my input and answered all my questions. Granted, I am fortunate to have great vision, but I also appreciate that he makes recommendations rather than explicitly telling you and/or coercing you into a purchase that doesn't make sense for you. In most Dr. offices you have to wait forever and then spend 5-10 minutes with the physician so they can usher in the next patient like herding cattle. Vision Optique is the antithesis of that experience. Truly incredible customer service. I would highly recommend their team for all your eye care needs, but then it might be harder for me to get an appointment so I'll refrain. read more

Do not come here for eye exams if you wear contact lenses. You will end up paying $175 out of pocket with insurance, and they do not tell you until it's time to pay. I don't understand why a fee this high can't be disclosed ahead of time. Even a range would've been nice. read more

Vision Optique has incredible customer service, and I've actually never bought anything here. Now that I'm moving away, I really regret it. The first time I visited, I asked to please buy glasses cleaner and some cloths. They said they didn't charge and not to worry. Amazing. The second time, I asked them if someone could please help me adjust my new sunglasses and offered to pay, and they again would not let me. It's hard to come by customer service like this anymore. Came here for the first time for a comprehensive exam and will definitely return! Didn't need to wait more than 15 min before I was called back for my appointment. Nice that they have a retinal scanner so no need for eye dilation and the subsequent post vision changes that follow! I love Dr. Lee and Dr. Owens. They are smart, friendly, and up to date on optometry. They are both patient with me and my lazy eye, and they are also family friendly. This practice does exceptional job with juggling insurance matters and informing you proactively of your up-front costs and coverage options. Probably the best I have seen among any medical office, period. Office staff is extremely pleasant and professional. Dr. Owens was great as well, very thorough and professional and handled my wretched vision nicely. Was not pushy in recommending any procedures and gave me some helpful tips that have improved eye dryness and irritation. Had a red spot in my right eye for a couple of days that didn't go away and was able to squeeze in an appointment with Dr. Ngo on Saturday (same day I called). Got in a few minutes before my appointment time, and was taken into the exam room. I noticed when I sat down with some initial sign in questions the admin wiped down all equipment with alcohol wipes, including the paddle they use to cover each eye. Dr. Ngo came in a few minutes later and very thoroughly diagnosed that I had a minor cut on my eye but indicated it's not infected and can be taken care of with antibiotics. She was professional, precise, and efficient. I cannot ask for more. My wife and I will be moving our annual checkups to Vision Optique! read more
