The doctor was kind, friendly, and efficient, and the staff was calm and helpful during my visit. Unfortunately, the billing experience afterward was extremely concerning and has left me with serious mistrust. My appointment was on Thursday, 1/22, and I never received a receipt or clear explanation of charges. While I understood the charge that posted later that night at 9:58 PM, my card was charged again on Saturday, 1/24 at 2:14 AM without my authorization. I had not returned to the office, had not left my home due to the weather, and received no call, notice, or explanation. I only discovered the charge when I attempted to use my card, which was stressful and unacceptable. It has now been two days with no acknowledgment or correction. This lack of oversight and transparency is negligent and irresponsible. While the medical care was pleasant, the billing practices have significantly damaged my trust. read more

This was truly a pleasant experience. If you want an example of above and beyond this is your place. All of the staff was very friendly. They helped me to nail down the perfect pair of glasses. The glasses selection in general had a wide variety of styles, colors, and prices. I was able to find a cute pair completely covered by my insurance. The optometrist did a deep dive into my diet and explained how it could effect my eyes. She even went as far as creating me a list of foods to make sure I incorporate in my diet, especially since my mom has a mild case of Glaucoma. Totally recommend this place! read more

I loved this eye doctor. She was professional, friendly and the visit didnt feel rushed. My issue is with the tech who does all the prescreening procedures like the puff of air test. During these procedures I was put into position for a machine that I had not used before during an eye exam. Turns out this was a retinal screening. It is not included in the standard screening that the insurance covers and the cost of it was completely out of pocket. Granted the cost was only $39 but I do not appreciate being forced into it. I was never asked IF I wanted this additional screening and it was just lumped in with the other screenings that are covered without any explanation. Most of it is name brand but if you don't care, consider looking elsewhere. First impression is very nice, clean and professional. There were 2 service representatives. One was assisting with a customer the other was at the front counter. She greeted me warmly and stated she'd right with me. After explaining paperwork to a gentleman she returned and asked what she could do for me. As I was explaining my needs and she became annoyed with a forced smile took my glasses and fixed the problem. I have been putting off going to the optometrist for about 10 years now. I knew my eyesight was getting worse, but it wasn't until the threat of losing my vision insurance happened that I suddenly had the urge to go. So I called around to different providers and found this amongst the listings. I needed a place that did same day appointments. I called, and headed right over!! The staff were friendly, they had a good selection, but not a very wide selection of glasses. I did wish I would have known more accurately how much my glasses were going to cost before finding out at the end. I expected to pay $50 and left $160 later! You have to pay for the frames, lenses and add ons, like anti-reflection. The doctors were professional, and it was still a good experience overall, the hidden cost kind of left a slightly sour taste in my mouth. I'm not sure it would have been better elsewhere though. read more

This Pearle Vision is located in the Galleria across from the Prada store near the ice skating rink. I did not enjoy my experience here and will not be returning. When I first arrived the guy that did my eye test was very friendly. However, the optometrist that did my eye exam refused to give me the results from my eye exam because of my dry eye syndrome. She prescribed me 7 days of drops and a temporary prescription for glasses and scheduled another appointment a week later. She gave me someone elses contacts and I put them on and realized they weren't mine! Gross!! The first part of the eye exam was $70. When I went to Walgreens to pick up the drops I found out they were $150! Instead of purchasing these insanely expensive drops and buying temporary glasses, I wore the glasses I already owned and bought some over the counter drops for dry eyes. I returned for my follow up appointment and the optometrist still refused to give me the results from my eye exam because she said my eyes were still dry and told me to return after using the drops she prescribed. When I got home, I found that the yellow drops she had put in my eyes had turned the whole area around my eyes yellow! Instead of setting up a third appointment, I will be going to Memorial Park Vision. My sister recommended them and I need a second opinion. If this optometrist prescribes the same drops, I will gladly oblige but I do not trust the optometrist at Pearle Vision. I went to Memorial Park Vision and my experience there was amazing! I would definitely recommend that you not waste your money here and go there instead. They are very professional, understanding, and use several tests to make sure that you get the right prescription. Don't make the same mistake I did! I came here because I have Humana and saw that this location was covered but I only got $5 off and ended up throwing $70 down the drain. Do not waste your time at this place! read more

The staff were great, they were helpful and friendly even though I was 15 mins late due to I didn't check that they've recently moved from the old location inside the galleria mall to another location. Everyone was really nice and the selection of frames are great. You can find an expensive pair or more reasonable pair that was similar for the budget conscious person. I arrived early and was seen early as they will make time for you if they are available. The only downside is that they were offering buy one pair of glasses and get one half off but that was only if you did NOT use your vision insurance which then makes them more expensive so I did not buy a second pair and used my insurance because it didn't make sense to me. My last experience wasn't as good as my past experiences. The woman taking me back was coughing a lot (and not washing her hands or using hand sanitizer) while handling my glasses and the equipment. She was not friendly at all. When she took me back to do preliminary stuff like the pictures of my eyes, I kept blinking, but rather than having some compassion she acted like I was wasting her time. I'm sorry I can't control my blinking. However, there was no wait time at all. The whole appointment was done within 10 minutes. Other things I didn't like was being given contacts to wear so I couldn't really say "no" since it seemed like she wanted to test my vision with the new prescription. And to top it all off it wasn't even my actual prescription it was off by .25 since they don't care quarter powers. So the eyedoctor made two prescriptions, one being the true prescription and the other one matching the lenses they had in stock. The two prescriptions would be fine if the staff paid attention. I had placed an order online for the correct prescription for contact lenses, but unfortunately it was a website that verifies the prescriptions. So when they called, a staff member must have only looked at the wrong one. This caused ME issues because the website went ahead and changed the prescription because they have to go by what the optometrist office says. I like the optometrists here, but due to the events of my last visit and the issue with my contact lens I am dissatisfied. I then, searched through yelp and noticed Pearle Vision's impressive ratings. Then, I noticed that it was located in the galleria, which is really convenient. So here I go to see if I can finally find new frames.. I'm then faced with the difficult task of just picking one pair! They have an amazing selection of name brand eyewear and great staff. Madgey, (I hope I spelled that right), was extremely nice and helpful! She estimated my glasses would be ready in about 10 days or less, and it really only took 2 days! (So fast!) Horrible staff. They are over priced and rude. They offered nothing after I purchased 2 pair of glasses that were over $500; not even $3 lense cleaning solution. The staff do not treat all customers equally. There was another customer in the store who seemed to be friends with the staff and the couple received free contact lense solution. I did not. Scheduled an appointment for 5:30pm and arrived 15 minutes early because I knew as a new customer I would need to fill out some paperwork. After I filled out the necessary paperwork I was escorted to the back right at 5:30 and Dr. Chu was very helpful and professional during the eye exam. Sure made sure she answered all my questions and concerns I had about my prescription and contact lenses. After the exam was over I was able to choose a pair of frames I wanted and Chandra was very pleasant to work with. She helped with the insurance and showed how much money I was able to save. They have a nice variety of men's glasses like Oakley, Nike, Ray Bans, Versace. Overall I had a great experience and will definitely recommend to a friend. read more

Pearle Vision at the Galleria has a great selection of frames (esp. for small faces), and the customer service is excellent. I was able to use my insurance and get a significant discount on some Kate Spade frames. After wearing them for a week, I came back needing an adjustment. Even though the store was busy, I was helped right away by a woman who knew exactly what adjustments I needed. I would recommend this store to anyone who wears glasses and wants fashionable frames without spending $500. read more

I am not a customer of this store (yet), however, while shopping at the galleria my lens fell out of the frame. On my way back to my car in the parking garage, I stopped by Pearl Vision and asked if they had a repair kit for my glasses that included a screw. She said no, but she could fix my glasses for me. After about 2 minutes she handed my glasses back to me fixed, with clean lens. The next time I need a new set of glasses, I will come back here! read more

I was able to call a day in advance to schedule an appointment to get a new glasses and contacts prescription. They accept basically ANY insurance and are extremely patient. The only confusing part was where this place was, and I soon found out actually inside the Galleria new to Toni&Guy.
