His concern and frank feedback on style and color options were what I had hoped for as a consultation. The adjustments to fit were expertly and quickly done such that it felt like an entirely different frame. I would not hesitate to return to this business for future eye wear needs as they truly care about customer satisfaction. My lesson learned is to speak up and let them address concerns. Able to book an appointment late at night for next day appointment at 9am! Dr. Nguyen was super informative with my binocular vision situation. I'm usually the patient that asks tons of questions, but I literally had none because he covered all aspects. The images they took and shared during the visit were super helpful and gave me a good understanding of my situation (with his inputs, of course). He even walked me outside the building during the visit to show me how the lenses would feel at a long distance range. Male frame tech was friendly and helpful as well. It was discovered back in November after a one month follow up that my meibomian glands in my eye lids were clogged and hence me and my dry eyes. I was able to come in December, January, and February to have them manually expressed with consists of a warm compress on my eyes for a few minutes to loosen up the oils, numbing eye drops, and then the manual expression using small forceps with the doctor and his microscope. It was mildly uncomfortable but also very relieving the first two times. This time they were a little more stubborn but nonetheless I can tell that I have relief from those glands being clogged. I was also prescribed some steroid drops because my eyes were clearly irritated and pink. I think it's one of the best treatments I've gotten because I can tell the immediate relief and my eyes feel better. I never even knew this existed and now, I think I need it. read more

Best eye doctor in Houston! Recently moved from Seattle last year and found this place here on Yelp and WOW! The technology is so up to date with all the different machines. No longer need to get your eyes dilated or have the air blown into your eye. There's photographic machines cover all of this for you now. Dr. Nguyen is amazing! So caring and genuinely cares about your eye health and willing to go the extra mile to explain every single image making sure you understand what's going on & addresses any concerns. I really care about understanding my health and he explains it in a way for anyone to understand. He also remembered me from when I last came last year! The selection of designer glasses they offer are great. They carry Cartier, YSL, Gucci & Ray brand along with other designers. However, they do now add a $30 fee if you do bring in your own frames which they didn't charge last year.. only negative thing I didn't like. Not sure if the eye glass company is charging this and they're passing this fee to the consumer or this establishment is charging this fee randomly? Overall the experience, online scheduling system to make your appointment, follow up texts about appointments/frames, care about this place is amazing. I'm forever a long term patient! read more

I've been going to Dr. Peter Nguyen for about a year now. I initially came in due to a trauma then decided to establish care here. I'm so glad I did. Dr. Nguyen is very knowledgeable and has exceptional chairside manners. My grandma gave me some advice (as grandmas do) and said "find a doctor that you trust.... Then really trust that doctor". Finding them, these days, is the hard part. So now that I have, I trust his guidance. I've started treatment for my dry eyes which will also alleviate some of my post injury symptoms. I leave there understanding what's going on with my eye health and what to expect moving forward because. This is a genuine practice with a genuine team. Araceli and Karen are incredibly professional and friendly. Don't let the name Karen scare you, she's not one. She's sweet. Their communication is really great. A big plus is they don't do the air puff thing in your eye- they have different technology to get the information they need! Yay! read more

The details he puts in his office can be seen all over his office. From the exam, to how stylish the frames to choose from are! I've always been to random optometrists where they get you in and out, but Dr. Peter was so kind and funny!! The moment you walked in, it felt like you were his best friend as he greeted you! I loved how he took the time to teach me what he was doing and how I should value my eye care. An eye exam is more than just readings letters off a wall! Who knew! He taught me how to be aware of certain signs of health issues to how to look at my own eyes! Wait for it. Do you guys hate getting dilated?? Worry no more, he has a tech savvy machine that's called the Optomap that will save you that hassle. My new go-to optometrist! My appointment was efficient yet thorough. Dr. Nguyen was a friendly and knowledgeable. As someone who struggles with dry eyes and hates contacts, he was able to assess everything and recommended to me the newest contact lens options available. These ended up being the Precision 1 Astigmatism contact lenses that apparently were just released recently. I had all but given up on contacts and had accepted the reality of wearing glasses all the time because of my past issues, which I explained to Dr. Nguyen. Within that first use I could tell the difference. My eyes didn't dry out or become blurry over time as they did with other contact lenses before. I appreciated that he took the time out to listen to me and encouraged me to try these contact lenses out with a trial. The office itself is modern and sleek with so many options to choose from for frames. Most of these brands I had been familiar with and love but found that many offices didn't carry them. While I didn't have time to browse and choose my next set of frames at this visit, I can't wait to come back to do so. read more
