My youngest was interested in contacts but had a lot of anxiety about putting things in her eye. There was a young lady,Morgan, that patiently helped her learn how to put the contacts in and how to remove them. The office manager, Donna, also showed great care and patience while we had to go through a few extra steps to find the contacts that were the most comfortable in my daughters inexperienced eyes. Of course I am also greatfull to Dr Hilliard. She is truly a gem. She has a talent for making her patients feel relaxed and comfortable. All of this personal care and interest was given to my children while maintaining strict social distancing standards. We felt safe and cared for! I was in Pearland at the time and I called around to a few places to see about a quick fix and finally LensCrafters said they could do it. I walked in and Rashawn greeted us. I explained my situation and he said it was no problem and to give him a few mins. About 2 mins later he came back and handed me my glasses fixed and wearable again. Rashawn and the LensCrafters team were really great, knowledgeable and friendly. I really appreciate it much and very grateful.

However, I went back a few days ago since my vision did not seem quite right with my new progressive glasses, my very first pair of glasses ever. After explaining several times that something wasn't right, I kept getting push back and was told that I simply need to get used to wearing my glasses. Finally, they told me I could take new measurements, after going back and forth. We took the new measurements and it turns out, adjustments to the measurements and the prescription needed to be made. I should not have had to press the staff like that to make sure my measurements and prescriptions were correct.

CustomEyes Pearland was highly rated so I decided to give them a try. Scheduling was pretty easy. I went online and requested an appointment and was called back in a fair amount of time to finish. Their office is located right off 288 and Broadway, easy to get to and has plenty of parking. I arrived early as requested and there was still a bit of a wait even after my appointment. We started off with all the usual tests prior to seeing the doctor. Times have changed when it comes to yearly exams. There is alot of new tests they recommend which also comes with more out of pocket expenses. I found the front desk and others to be straight business without the service with a smile. It's not a must, but it does make you feel a little more welcome. I saw Dr. May on my visit and she was a pleasure to see. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. She ordered a few trials for my contacts and sent my on my way. After that is where I felt service went downhill. I have high astigmatism and I knew there would be a wait, but it was almost 3 weeks without a call from the office. I called once and they said they would get back to me and they didn't. The next time I called about a week later, they said one of the two trials were there and waiting to be picked up. How was I supposed to know that without a call. The same thing happened with my second trial. I just found it odd that I had to reach out every time. Needless to say, though I liked the doctor I saw, the overall customer service left alot to be desired. I didn't even end up using my yearly benefits here. I'm glad many people have liked the service here, but I will keep searching.

I and my wife ordered our eyeglasses recently and received them fairly fast. I encountered a problem with the fit of my wife's glasses. I had to ask the rep to fit them. I had problems with my glasses and returned them after 3 weeks for a Re-do. Again I received them fairly fast. I received a text this morning saying the glasses were ready for pickup. I arrived at approximately 2:25 PM, there was only one person working there. He was with another customer and asked me if I was there to pickup glasses. I told him yes and he said he would be with me shortly. At 2:35 another person came in and went straight to the backroom. I assumed she was on break. At 2:40 I left, since it became apparent that the clerk was not going to be done anytime soon with the customer. He just didn't have the time to walk over and give me my order. I guess Vision Works wants to make sure that they are okay. The same previous frames just new lenses and I can do a better job adjusting my own glasses. So why doesn't Vision Works ask you to make an appointment for pickup, and why can't this place keep some of the good customer service clerks. Or better yet, why don't you have the option to receive the glasses via mail. Regardless, this will be my last pair of glasses from vision works.

I only called to advise that I would be 5 minutes late due to having lost my keys at work. The reply was that they were closing early to get employees home before the ice. While I can understand safety, that should have been a call made this morning!!! The Winter Weather Advisory does not even apply to our area. On the other hand, it's been in effect since 2pm. So, either way, my appointment either should have been honored or I should have been notified earlier of the cancellation! Then I was offered an appointment for tomorrow.... which, by the way, is when the ice will actually arrive to our area! We will be finding a new provider.
