We LOVE it here. This is our fourth optometrist in 18 years and so far our favorite. They are so kind, and so patient. Both Dr. Lee and Dr. Bub are extensive in their explanations, very knowledgeable in different medical conditions that can affect your eye sight. Dr. Lee is very patient with my daughter - who has autism spectrum disorder and wants to know how everything works and she answers all of her questions thoroughly and patiently. You will not find more professional and thorough eye doctors than Dr. Bub and Dr. Lee. They are also very nice and genuinely care to make sure you are satisfied with your service with each visit. I always recommend them to my family and friends. They consistently practice good hygiene....office is spotless and both doctors wash their hands and equipment thoroughly before, during, and after each patient. Our family's visit was great! The receptionist was friendly. The building is beautiful. Dr Lee & Dr Bub were friendly, patient, & knowledgeable. They treated my kids with genuine concern to their questions. They were thorough with the exams. Very helpful picking out frames. Both doctors are soft spoken, which makes for a very pleasant appointment. Our glasses were projected to come in within ten business days but were received the within 4! Dr Lee had changed my rx from what I had normally been prescribed and these are, by far, the best prescription I've had! We highly recommend this practice and are very excited they made the move to La Porte! read more

Thank you for the long winded rebuttal. To this day my lens pops out when cleaning my glasses. They were not properly fit even when they were shipped and returned. After weeks with no lens and my free 3 days of disposable lens was up. No more waiting time. Good luck to your company but we will not be returning and I will advise others the same. The Drs are phenomenal. They are very kind and caring and much more informative than any other eye doctor I've ever been to. The only issue i have is the front desk receptionist. Her customer service skills are quite lacking. I made a simple request to the young lady for a reminder about my appointment since i like to schedule well in advance due to my busy travel schedule, and she literally made it very clear that i was inconveniencing her to have to remember to send out a reminder and that no other customers book their appointments this far in advance (4 months) and she made it very clear she was unhappy at my request. I was not rude to her nor did i raise my voice, although i really wanted I was so appalled at the lack of customer service and how immature she was acting. I decided to cancel the appointment and the purchase i was making at that time. I said if customers inconvenience you so much i can go somewhere else as there are hundreds of eye centers to choose from, and she was perfectly fine with my response, no apology & no attempt to make things right. I'm sad because i really like the woman Dr. i had there and it was close to my home, but i cannot tolerate being mistreated as a paying customer. read more

I am a very "fussy" eye patient because my vision is paramount to me. I enjoy reading, watching TV, and most of my work day is computer related. Therefore, vision is an integral part of my day to day living. I have been remissed in keeping up with my eye health since I moved to Texas in 2010, because I just couldn't get a good word of mouth for a doctor someone would brag about. Therefore, I just "let it go". I know, if it is paramount how could I 'ignore" visiting an eye doctor? Because I rather go without than endure a bad one or one who cannot be invested in you, the patient. I was seriously going to set an appointment back in Florida for my other doctor because I have had him since 19 yrs old (now age 49) and expend the cost to see him. He was my 2nd steady eye doctor since age 17 because my first one retired, whom I dearly loved and was devasted he retired. It took 5 eye doctors later to find one who could accommodate my unique contact lenses needs of the time. Now and then, because he was so busy, I stray from the path to visit a different doctor and come back to him with downcast eyes. I preface this history to cite, I feel I know a good, diligent doctor. Sarah, their appointment coordinator, was warm and even accommodated me by faxing over their application so I could pre-fill it out and email it back to her. Dr Bub and Dr Lee are very welcoming and equally warm people too. Like my Florida doctor, they are not stiff with this invisible wall between you and them. Dr Bub took the extraordinary time to make sure that my medication list was part of his records, discuss how they impact not only my eye health and vision, but how it may impact the rest of me with specific time of day pills should be taken. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Dr Bub felt it was necessary to ensure glaucoma or retinal eye bleeding did not begin, which led to more testing than the standard. Dr Lee was patient in helping me select a frame that complimented and complemented my face and look. I mean I took a good 30 - 45 minutes hemming and hawing about what would work for me! I was going to forego the bifocals and stick to single vision lenses, but after Dr Lee explained the Progressive Lenses, it made more sense I elect the cost of these lenses to meet my day to day vision habits. In addition, she seemed very aware of my fitting concerns and how the glasses needed to sit on my face naturally. Past fitters kept trying to get the glasses to sit specifically on my face instead of taking into account how I wear them and how they may end up sliding down my face. Why I have foregone the bifocals recommendations in the past. Unbeknownst to me, they close at 2 pm on Saturday and yet I took them to 3 pm and they didn't once try to bum rush me out of the office. They answered my partner's questions as they arose without treating them as just a sidekick but a vested person also interested in my health. In addition, they let us hang out a tad longer due to a torrential rainstorm until it abated enough to allow us to rush to the vehicle without looking like we drowned. I highly recommend both doctors and this lovely establishment. I am definitely making them my steady doctors read more

Upon my first visit, I had to fill out the requisite documents, including acknowledgment of receiving the privacy policy as required by HIPPA laws. The only one they could put in my hand was the one on the wall. The doctor took it down for me to read. After I read it, I realized why they did not have one readily available. The Sharp Eyes privacy policy has to be the most liberal I have ever read in a health care facility. I found very few times when health information would be withheld. There is even a line removing them from responsibility for "incidental" releases without the patient's permission. When I mentioned my concerns with the policy, the receptionist said "sorry" and went on to other duties. As someone who HAS had their identification stolen, I take privacy policies very seriously. When a business, such as a health care provider, shows blatant disregard for a prospective patient's privacy concerns, I don't use that provider. read more

My entire family have been patients of Dr. Bub and Dr. Lee for almost 20 years and we wouldn't go anywhere else. They genuinely care about their patients and strive to give them the best and most up to date treatments available. In addition to excellent medical care, they diligently work with your insurance company to make sure you received the maximum benefits allowed on your policy. Our family has had several different carriers over the years and Dr. Bub and Dr. Lee have always worked with us, no matter what level of coverage we had. I can't recommend them highly enough. I have referred many people their office and each one has told me of the quality care they received. I promise you won't find better optometrists anywhere. read more
