I needed to reschedule my appointment so I called 1 week in advance. The staff acted like they had no idea how to do this. They explained that the doctor is not seeing patients after a certain date so I asked if the dr was leaving the practice. If that was the case then I needed to schedule with another doctor there. They kept transferring me back and forth between offices and put me on hold for a total of 35 minutes between transfers. The staff needs to be trained not only on procedures but on telephone etiquette and customer service. Update: found another doctor with a different practice, staff appears to be well educated on customer service. I called back to Houston Eye Associates and on hold for 5 minutes just to request my medical records be transferred to other dr, and to no surprise they did not know the procedure. Sure glad I don't have to deal with them anymore!!!

The doctors want us to be on time for our appointment yet they don't respect our time by seeing us on time. The answer to this is simple: schedule less patients. I feel as if they are packing in as many patients as they can to make more money, not caring about how long we have to wait. If you do go here, expect to wait at least one hour, at a minimum.

My appointment was set for 10 AM, I arrived at 9:50 AM, and by 10:45 AM I was still sitting in the lobby with 4 people ahead of me. I don't have time to spend 2 hours at the eye doctor. When I informed the front desk girl I would need to reschedule my appointment since it was now 45 minutes past when I was supposed to be seen she laughed and could have cared less. I had to take off from work to come to my "appointment" and am scheduled to go in at 11:30. So essentially I took off from work for no reason and wasted 45 minutes of my day. Additionally, the facility is disgusting. The lobby chairs are covered in what looks like dark fecal/urine stains and the arms of the chairs have sticky residue on them. I called over to Pasadena Eye Center on Crenshaw and made an appointment for next week. Take your money else where. Maybe Dr. Hakimi will take these reviews into consideration & do a staffing revamp.

It's for individuals who are low income and who have minimum coverage. If you have the gold card appointment visits copay is $3.00 each visit. If you are unable to pay, the patient access representative will tell you, you may be billed for $3.00, however; often times that is covered by a charity. They have a specialized team, that can help you with all your needs. The doctors and nurses are very good and will listen to your needs. If you feel you got rushed out of your appointment you can always request for a new doctor. Keep this in mind. There is a pharmacy and food farmacy (I think it's called) where you'll be able to get food and medicine. You'll have to have a prescription. When you walk into the doors take a right and pass through the doors to see the food-like bank and take a slip to wait for your number to be called. The therapist on site specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and the sessions are very short. Once you speak with a receptionist, you'll be prompt to go to the waiting area A, B, C, or D. There are other places that offer cheaper LASIK surgery, but do not take a chance on your vision that could negatively effect you the rest of your life. I am 22 and was seeing about 20/80 in each eye, now I'm easily seeing 20/15 which is life changing and LASIK was one of the coolest experiences of my life. The recovery is a piece of cake and if you're thinking about it, save up and do it. They also offer financial assistance. Lipsky is a genius with incredibly solid qualifications. 100% 5 star review and would trust this guy with brain surgery (if that was what he did! Lol)

She apologized and said that she would check back in with me in a little while. 5-10 minutes later, she came back and said the Dr would be another 5-10 minutes before he would see me. I told her no ma'am I'm not going to wait another minute and I walked out without seeing anyone today. I told her this is the last time I will be back to this clinic. I had another appointment next month but on my way out, I stopped by the desk and canceled it as well. I did receive my co-pay back that I had paid for today. I refuse to wait over hour half too 2hours to be seen. My time is just as precious as his......POOR SERVICE!!!! Watch your time!!!!
