Forcing patients to pay for "services" that are NOT required for a routine eye exam is completely unacceptable. When I said no to their alternative eye dilation test/procedure, they refused to allow me to get my eye exam. I was told that their doctor requires this and I have to or they won't see me. They claimed they called me several times, but I never got any missed calls from them, in fact I had called them a few days before I picked them up to ask if they were ready and NOTHING was said to me about a remaining balance !! I've been going to the Dr. office for over 10+ years. Always get taken care of. Any issues I have with glasses, they handle it and get me ready to see the day. I will always come here before going anywhere else. Even when I've asked about getting my eye surgery, they do not shy to give you your best chances of getting a successful procedure done. He's taken care of my parents and my family's eyes for years. His staff is also very helpful and patient. I always take an hour at least looking through the glasses to see what fits best and they are very honest when asking for opinions. read more

My wife had $700 available to use on new glasses but the girl would not even verify our insurance. I had already checked to see that it was taken there before I sent my wife over. The girl said its their policy not to verify insurance, well darlin' I have a policy too you must earn my business as I am a customer. I have gone to this eye doctor for the past 10 years at least. The past 2 years have been horrible experiences, and I will not return next year. Last year the front desk made an error with a prescription for contacts I wanted to purchase somewhere else. When I came to pick up the correct prescription, the front desk was rude and acted like it was my fault. Even though it was sitting behind the counter ready to go, I had to wait 15 minutes. This year, I made an appoint but was not told about the new location. I went to the previous location and had to call to find out where they are now located. Inconvenient yes but not a big deal. It was when I arrived late that the front desk staff was rude that I was 10 minutes late. Customer service could be improved tremendously now. I'm not sure what has changed in the last few years. read more

We visited Today's Vision for our annual eye exam. The staff here is extremely patient and family friendly. My 5 year old began her visit with tons of anxiety, and by the time it was done was ready to come back again. They addressed all our questions and concerns. DO NOT GO HERE! Even with eye insurance it's been the Worst experience ever dealing with this business. My daughter, son and I all came here for glasses and contacts. We have insurance, first they over charge me in person our out of pocket expenses, because their staff never properly checked our coverage. When asked for the difference to be refunded they said it will be applied to the account so basically "store credit". Then we buy the optional frame insurance coverage for my sons glasses. Well my sons 9yrs old and accidents happen and one of the arms broke off. So we go back to get them repaired or replaced, they said oh that's not covered and will be $289!! OMG!! Really!! We normally go to Target for our frames because they carry the Oakley frames we like and have lasted the longest. And we have used the frame Insurance at Target and it's never been an issue, we pay the deductible and they fix or replace the frame with out any hassle. We tried Todays Vision, but I'm sorry this place is TRASH!! read more

I went in for eye allergy and was given antibiotics.Three months later I was back again they didn't work . So I called to make another appointment which eye doctor said to go back if there was still a problem . So when I went the girl at the counter told me it would be 170.00 to see the eye doctor again because it's been three months . I walked out !! Wow my whole family has been going there for years . I am new to the area and was due for my annual eye exam. After reading reviews, I decided to go to another eye specialist practice and had a horrible experience. They first failed to quote me correctly and the visit was $100 more than expected and after four visits my prescription still was not right. Instead of ordering incorrect prescription contacts through this practice, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I had gone to a Today's Vision in Houston previously and had a good experience, so I decided to give it a try despite the bad review from Erin M. (which I will get to later). I was greeted promptly by friendly staff and was seen right away. I explained my horror story from the other office to Dr. Tran and told him that I was about to give up on contacts all together and stick with my glasses! He took time to go over changes in my eye health and issues that happen to eyes after 40. The visit was extremely thorough and the result is perfectly prescribed lenses and readers. I am not sure what kind of day Erin M. was having when she went into Today's Vision, but it obviously wasn't good. Seriously, I have to wonder if she has ever been to a Family Practice office or a OB-GYN. Wait times in those offices can be up to 2 hours. Come on! Things happen and emergencies come up. 34 minutes is a ridiculous reason to give a highly competent office one star. She may just be mad because she only has one friend, who knows. My experience with Dr. Tran and his staff at Today's Vision was exceptional and I will highly recommend him to anyone in the area. read more

They seem very aggravated when I call to see if my prescription is done. It's been over two weeks and I have a very low prescription with them already having the frames in stock. When I checked with the receptionist to see if I had the wrong appointment time, she said no. My appointment was at 11, and that the doctor is with another patient. I called for an eye exam and was told they had a $49.00 groupon. It ended up being 109. The Dr. Didn't dialate my eyes, put the new prescription into a temp frame for me to check out. He was on the room to perform the exam in less than 10 minutes. When I told the Dr about the groupon, he did not honor it either, Very rude staff! read more

So if your reading this review you probably wear corrective lenses and you know the importance of having your glasses or contacts. Well i have been wearing the SAME RayBan wayferer frames for the last 6 yrs. 3 different pairs in 6 yrs. Every time i needed a new script or new glasses I would literally have my script, lenses and frames in the same day or next day. This place charged me more than any other store has in the last 6 yrs just for lenses. (I have vision insurance). So i turned in my prescription paid for lenses and took them my brand new pair of RayBans. About one week and a half later in still dont have my glasses. I started calling after 7 business days to check the status. And all i got was lies. Ill skip the details but i will say that after almost 2 weeks o got my glasses. I noticed that i couldnt see too well with them. Turns out they put the wrong lens on each side (my script is diff in each eye). I had planned on getting my contacts here also but i asked how long i could expect to wait. And the answer they gave me blew my mind. Basically, it could take a couple of weeks. And they would have to wait till MORE PEOPLE PLACED ORDERS FOR CONTACT LENSES THEN THEY WOULD ORDER THEM. So yes you have to hope and wait other people are needing contacts too. Then you can expect them in a week. So hopefully your not out of contacts or have ruined glasses. Because youll be sol here. I strongly recommend going to Wal-Mart or any other optical place that has a faster turn around time and with better customer service. The girls there were nice but i was not satisfied at all. I bought the 1 yr warranty on my lenses. Lets see how it turns out if i need to use it. I would rate 0 stars if possible. read more

I experienced the worse service I have ever received from an optical office at this establishment. First, they did not inform me, as to what doctor I would be seeing. When I arrived I was informed I was going to be seeing their new doctor. The new doctor gave me a ten minute eye exam, and then told me I would need to order my trial contacts with the front desk. The front desk informed me I would be getting my trials in 5-7 days, This was on October 6. On the 15th of October I called to ask about my trial contacts because they had not called and they informed me that it was going to take 2-3 weeks. I requested to speak to the doctor. I left messages at both this location and their location in Bellaire. I never received any type of call. Today I called back inquiring about my contacts. Now they apparently are not going to be in to November 3rd, because they had to special order them because my vision has become worse. I was understanding that you went to the doctor to get a diagnosis, and they were suppose to inform you about your condition, especially if it has become substantially worse read more

I love their selection of frames. If they do not have the frame that you want the receptionist can call to see if it is available from a different location. staff is very friendly . Only thing I didn't like was that the doctor (female) tried to get me to do a contact fitting so it would cost more and I told her that I was only getting glasses so the contacts were irrelevant. she told me that if I didn't do the contact fitting today then I cannot get contacts for the rest of the year.
