Worst business in Texas. Saved my money for several months and she gave me an estimate beforehand. 350.00 includes exam and a basic pair of bifocals. When they were ready she tried to charge me 500.00 bucks and I told her that wasn't gonna happen. I was walking out with no glasses and all my money. She changed her tune to 350 $ so I paid it. 3 months later one earpiece came off. Took them to her and next day she says they ready. When I put them on it fell back off. Next day she calls me back in and says she can't fix them and I just need to buy a new pair of frames... Needless to say she was told where to go and she lost my business. Only reason I went there is bc I got my very first pair from her with no problems. She was determined to get 500 dollars out of me one way or another read more

The lady working the counter on a Sunday was having lunch with what must have been her husband or boyfriend and a little girl right at the front area. I'm a mother I get it. But when I'm working it's my job to do my job to the best of my ability. So when I came in to get help with my son's prescription she literally gave me an excuse for everything I asked. I do not recommend. At least not on a Sunday. I paid a ton of money for my son's glasses with my insurance and this place really could care less.Every-time I came in to pick up and check on his glasses in the past it was the same experience I had today. The receptionist was rude when I called. I asked for a specific favor and made it seem like it was out of her way to do it. Lazy. Be courteous when someone asks you to do something that takes no more than 5 minutes. Also, be willing to learn new ways to do certain things because the girl who answered the phone obviously needed more training. Completely disappointed on how I was treated. It was so easy to make an appointment, every employee was super nice and professional. I was recommended to go here and I would be recommending this Visionworks to everyone. A bit of information about the visit. The eye exam is done right next door to the main lobby. They started doing the exam within minutes (I forgot the names of who helped me during the exam). After the exam, Claudia helped me with the process of getting the right frame and explain everything to me right on the spot and before I knew it I got the perfect pair! I visited this store because I have VSP vision insurance & because of their huge selection of inventory. The inventory was so overwhelming that I almost gave up on purchasing my glasses, but Griselda the optical technician was so knowledgeable of the inventory that she was able to help me find the perfect pair of glasses! She was so helpful and friendly. And very upfront about what looked good on me & what didn't. She really took the time to listen to my needs. I had gone to get my child's glasses (keep in mind he's 10yrs old) made there only to find out 2 months later when I took him to his doctors appointment, and the doctor checked his glasses only to be told the glasses where mad wrong and the lenses where wrong. I called the number told them the problem they transferred me over to the store the store told me the manager would called me the next day. She didn't call me or made and attempt to call I then called again and the number again transferred me over to the store to which the phone was answered why the manger that had a rude tone in their voice I was told by here that I would get a full refund for the mistake and they would mail me a check I waited 1 week which is what they told me it would take I never received the check or a call I then again called the store because the manager said to call them directly and not call corporate. I was then told that I would not receive a refund and they would not fix my child's glasses. The manager told me to wait another wait I didn't receive anything I then had to go to the store and talk to them the manager had a rude tone in her voice and the manager kept telling me they needed the doctors note where it said the glasses where made wrong I provided the note to her as proof and she still blamed me for the mistake and did not want to issue a refund because according to them it was my mistake not theirs. In the end after a discussion they gave me a full refund but didn't not offer to fix their mistake as they were getting my money I could hear the manager saying things is English since she thought I only spoke Spanish. I was very shocked that the manager treated me this way even after it was their mistake and not that but to act like they could have messed up a child's vision because of their unprofessional work and it's sad that the manager didn't take the right steps to try and correct the mistake they made. I finally was able to save enough to get new glasses as mine are 9 years old. I went here because this is where I bought my current glasses. Took advantage of the bogo sale and bought 2 pair. I added some new filters onto my new glasses and was told my vision shouldn't be affected. 2 weeks later i get my glasses and try them on at the store. Never received a text they were in, i just remember the date i was told they were in. I was in the area so i picked them up and fitted them. I had my contacts on since I was painting that day didn't think much of it. Put both pairs on at home could not see at all, they were making my head hurt making my eyes crossed. Next day went to make sure it was correct prescription, and they double checked and it was. Call my doctor to ask about it and she says it's the filters and to get them taken off. I go back the next day and tell the guy working there that the lenses have been making my head hurt and hurting my eyes and my doctor said to change them back to what they were originally. He argued with me and said it's not the filters fault and everything. I told him that my doctor said to change them . he was adamant that he was right my doctor was wrong and they couldn't do that and everything. Argued with me for a little bit until he finally just took my glasses and took my information. I don't know when I'm getting my glasses back or anything and I was on hold for 20 minutes trying to get a hold of the store to ask about it. Nobody ever answered. I don't want to keep running over to the store as I don't live very close and we are in the middle of a pandemic. It would just be nice if somebody just said OK your doctor said it , we will fix it for you. read more

I was told my contacts would be in within 10 days. The first time I have ordered from them it took a month. This second time it's been over 10 days and they still aren't in. They say they will check and call you back, but never call you back. Terrible customer service. I will not be going back again. read more

Scheduled an appointment online the day before. Got a confirmation call the morning of my appointment date. Showed up 10 minutes before my appointment to be told I wasn't in the schedule. They worked me in nonetheless. By the way they send you next door for the exam. I was told on the phone the morning of and in the exam location next door that they would have my contacts same day. Walk into vision works and they have nothing. 1 star in this situation is generous. Horrible Communication, horrible service, and most of all horrible business. read more

I was in a few weeks ago shopping for a couple new pairs of frames, and when I walked in the store I was immediately greeted with friendly faces. Gisselle was the kind worker that ended up helping me. She was very personable, genuine, and truly cared about her customers. I'm not the most decisive person so she was by my side the entire time helping me pick out my frames. I loved how honest she was about each frame I tried on. If it weren't for her I would probably still be trying to decide what frames I want. Originally happy with purchase. Returned multiple times to have adjusted, each time ham handed associate twisted and pried to straiten, which none seemed able to accomplish, as it never stayed straight. Finally a screw pulled thru lens ... just out of warranty ... helpful associate seemed to have no time to discuss. Finally offered to give me a jeweler's name. As I paid a very healthy price for these glasses, my experience with these unprofessional SALES associates was very negative. By the by .. could have bought same glasses from my optometrist for just a couple bucks more. My bad choosing these folks. read more

I have been wearing glasses for over 20 years, I have purchased glasses at MANY locations. By far this is the worst experience I ever had! They are all nice and helpful when you are there to pick out glasses but if you try to return the glasses per "MONEY-BACK SATISFACTION GUARANTEE" and I quote " Your purchase is backed by an UNCONDITIONAL 30 day money-back satisfaction guarantee" they aren't so nice and accommodating. They make up their OWN rules, made me wait 2 MONTHS for a refund! Just a heads up people. read more

First of all, I will start by saying I have over 2 1/2 years of experience in Optometry and I do believe this place has terrible customer service. They are overpriced and do not pay attention to customer needs. They are friendly, but they lack organization and priorities. I have a light prescription and they way over charged for the lenses. They charged $110 for PLASTIC. That is completely ABSURD. I got the cheapest material for the lenses and was charged DOUBLE what the material is worth. For that price i should be in a polycarbonate lens. The optician couldn't even give me a distinct answer when I asked for the breakdown of the cost of each part of my lens (the single vision, poly vs plastic, the tint). Very disappointed in their business. She typed everything on a calculator and couldn't tell me exactly how much everything was for the different enhancements on the lenses. If a customer is asking for a breakdown on the process. WRITE IT DOWN SO THEY CAN SEE! The staff is friendly but they lack I guess knowledge or experience. Also when I came to pick up my glasses I was told by the optician they would be ready by 5pm the day before and she wrote down 6pm on the paper. Fine. I can overlook that. My mom picked up her glasses that evening and they told her mine wouldn't be ready until 10am the next day. Again, inconvenient but I overlooked It. When I came in for my glasses it took 4 different people to look for them while I sat and waited. Then when they found them, they tinted the lenses way too dark. She told me it'd be another 20 minutes for them to lighten up. So I waited. Again. While waiting the girl that had first helped me began helping another customer pick up glasses while someone else looked for mine & they were just here for pick up. She dispensed the glasses, or so I thought but the customer needed the temples switched on her frame and she went and helped someone else do a glasses sale and didn't bother letting that customer know she would be back with them in a minute. The customer complained to someone else that she needed an adjustment & was waiting for the temples to be switched. I know they try to be nice but they really need to become more organized & not just ignore customers. I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but I do think this one is necessary. read more
