    Chicken souvlaki Greek salad
    Paul C.

I've eaten here many, many times. Always great and that's why it's in my restaurant rotation. For a light lunch I take out their Greek salad with chicken souvlaki. It's fantastic. Top notch! That feta is the best!

    1. Gyro Lunch Special

My husband and I found out about this place through a neighbor. It's located right by the Bethpage LIRR so street parking can be a little tight. If you have a LIRR parking permit or visit after rush hour, then parking shouldn't be an issue. We ordered their Chicken Gyro and Chicken Souvlaki lunch specials. The lunch specials came with a cup of soup and a Greek salad. We are big fans of their tomato orzo soup but they only had lemon chicken soup or mushroom barley soup that day. We tried their lemon chicken soup and thought it was surprisingly good. The lemon flavor was subtle so it wasn't too sour and the soup was served warm. The Greek salad was a decent portion and came with a lot of toppings. My favorite part was the stuffed grape leaf! We decided to order a Combo of Three (garlic dip, hummus, and stuffed grape leaves) as well. We were blown away by the hummus and thought the garlic dip was more like a pureed potato salad. It was good but wasn't great. The Chicken Gyro was good but I felt the Chicken Souvlaki looked tastier. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu as everything was prepared well. It's just a matter of personal preference. P.S. You get free pita bread and tzatziki with your orders!

Stoppppp what you are doing & come here! Amazing food. The tzatziki is so fresh. The Dolmades! Perfection. The big salad is enough for a second meal! Great hospitality. Super clean.

This is my sister's favorite restaurant and we came here for her birthday. First of all, I've never been to a greek restaurant that offered complimentary tzatziki for the table!!! This was the best surprise ever! It is served with both white and brown pita. Portion sizes are huge. In addition to soup or salad coming with most meals. I can't wait to go back here again when I'm home on Long Island!

    Falafel Sandwich

This wonderful restaurant has an amazing, friendly staff that worked diligently to make the meal perfect. The restaurant was spacious and very clean. Upon sitting they bring a basket of cut pita (regular and whole wheat) and yogurt sauce. The pita is unlimited and you can ask for more throughout the meal. The pita was perfectly toasted and the yogurt sauce spiced very nicely. I ordered the three combo cold appetizer (you can choose from a list of what you'd like). I took the Spicy Feta Dip, Hummus, and Feta with Kalamata Olives. Ok....wait for it.....AMAZING. Next was the large Greek Salad. Filled with feta, the dressing was perfect, and the grape leaves fresh and soft. You look at the salad and think the size is a little small. But, tuck into it and you we see you might not be able to finish it. Last was the Falafel sandwich. The sandwich was stuffed and the falafel had a mild spicy kick which was fabulous. I literally could not find a single thing wrong with the meal and this moves up to a favorite place to dine.

Very delicious Greek food ! Had a chicken souvlaki which had nice big pieces of white meat chicken. The tzaztki sauce was delicious as well. Other party I was with had the whole fish branzino which he said was outstanding. Great local Greek place. Highly recommend this location.

A really intimate place, with probably like 15 tables max inside, and a little bar that can sit also about the same amount of people, but still looks new and fresh, and also be on the lookout because when you're driving the place sneaks up on you. The friendliest service, Lauren who seated us and served us was truly genuine, and I told her I really appreciate that as most restaurants don't have that sense of personal customer service, actually noticeable and appreciated. The food was also really good, the dip was flavorful, could be a little warmer but still very good, the chips were next level, and this was a huge hit. The calamari was lightly breaded, and also I do appreciate the two sauces to choose from when dipping, either Kung Pao or Marinara. I got the Pastrami Rub Tuna over Scallion Mash, and when I first looked at it I thought the fish piece was a bit small, but after eating it, it was the perfect size, and the mash was delicious, and the Wasabi Sauce to dip the fish really made the dish Pop. Drinks were okay, started with a kick and boozy but finished a bit watery for my first one, the second one I had with Mescal was a 10/10 though. This place needs attention, and the fact that it is still pretty low key and food influencers haven't descended to blow up it's spot is awesome.

While I had heard great things about this restaurant, I hadn't been in yet. I'm sure glad we chose to come here. Since I'm perpetually early, I went to have a beer at the bar while waiting and had a chance to peruse the happy hour menu. Lots of good stuff here including many beers and cocktails. This menu is available until 6 pm during the week. Bartender was a doll and gave me the skinny on all her favorites for both the happy hour and regular menus. Bar seats maybe 15 people and a tv above will keep a solo flyer busy for a bit. Once my buddy arrived, we were seated in the dining room toward the back. A great space able to seat many patrons. Larger groups can easily be accommodated. Our server Zack was awesome and came by just often enough. He also did a great job spacing out our courses so as not to overload our table. We started with soup and then had one of the starts of the evening- sliced seared tuna. This was a reco from the earlier mentioned bartender and it was a super home run. So were the Bang Bang Tacos. ( another reco from our great bartender food guru.) My friend said his salmon was good but not great and I had a burger that Zack recommended. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious, this was an incredible burger and I could have taken at least half home. I didn't because it was so good and I felt stuffed when it was finished. We didn't stop there though - the dessert menu looked awesome and I wasn't going to miss it. Coffee and snifter of Chambord matched with the cinnamon apple explosion was the "icing on the cake" Great meal and service. Will definitely come back and the sooner the better.

Portions are generous and the best dish of the night was the Dancing Shrimp appetizer (fried shrimp wrapped in kataifi). Overall, wouldn't mind coming back here if in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. One of the best features of the restaurant is the ambiance accompanied by good service. Bar is lively on weekends, and the dining area is spacious for table parties of 4-6.

At first I was somewhat bummed we missed the DJ night on Friday and Sunday brunch but one of the coworkers said "you came on a good day, Achilleas is your waiter." I didn't know that meant much at the time but Achilleas absolutely did not disappoint. He brought humor, laughs and our food, what was not to love? He continued to impress us from remembering our whole party's names, orders and all small facts about each individual one of us. He kept us laughing so hard that even my friend suggested they advertise "Achilleas Night" on the front door. If you're curious, follow his instagram @theothersideofgreece - him and his wife have their own travel company. Now to talk about the amazing food... to begin, if you didn't order the French Toast Sticks for an appetizer, YA DONE MESSED UPPP!! Go back, and order two of them, maybe three (it's 6 huge pieces each - not the time to count calories) ! I don't do French toast but I'd never go against the crew and I'm glad I didn't pick this day to waver. They were perfectly sweet, crunchy, warm & doughy . Then just when I thought we were done, Achilleas slides out with two complimentary desserts, one for me (birthday) and another for my two friends that had a big engagement that we are still celebrating! The complimentary cake was surprisingly delicious. It was vanilla birthday cake served warm with a scoop of ice cream, sprinkles and whip cream and my mouth is still watering over it. Needless to say, we're all looking for reasons to get together on an Achilleas night again.

This place is popular... and for good reason. My husband ordered the BBQ baby back ribs and loved them. He said he was impressed with how good they were. I ordered a Chicken Caesar wrap, which was loaded with chunks of well-seasoned grilled chicken and some lettuce sitting on top of fresh pita bread rolled up. As my side, I got a Greek salad, which I then incorporated into my grilled chicken wrap. I loved putting it all together, but if you think I was able to finish that, you'd be wrong. I brought it home and enjoyed it the next day for lunch, although parts of it were admittedly soggy. I just ate around the soggy parts cuz it was too good to waste. We only visit L.I.
