    Spinach Pie
    Gabrielle B.

My aunt has lived around the corner from this place for over 20 years, and I've always seen it but I've never stopped. Well things changed yesterday. I came in for a quick dinner with my sister and we ordered a few things. We started with a spinach pie. We had a pita pizza, and we also ordered a wrap that included hummus and chicken. I would've taken more pictures but I was eating so fast wants the food was showing up (quick service, but I was famished and the food was delicious). Yeah, I know The staff was so friendly. And we were going to order at the counter, but then they told us they had dining-in menus; it was a vast array of food. I loved everything especially the housemaid vinaigrette. I can't wait to come back. I want to try the falafel and the souvlaki next time.

How is it possible I've driven by for yearsss and never tried this amazing gem of a place. Got lunch, chicken gyros with a side Greek salad and delicious! I will def be back.

If you like lamb gyros, this is a good place to come. Located on sunrise Highway.

Fresh ingredients made to order lamb gyros. If you want to sit down inside, it has an old Greek vibe.....

It was a pleasure eating this delicious Greek gyro! I went with a friend of mine; that was a big fan and he orders from here occasionally from his job at Lexus down the road. The customer service was a1 and the food was just right! I'd definitely recommend this gyro spot!

I attached an image of the chicken gyro dinner for $21. A plate of rice. What a rip off !

Even with a new Greek place closer to my house, we still only order from here. After a terrible lunch today that claimed to be "Greek" in Hoboken, I had to right that wrong. So Gyro Palace fit the bill!! Typical order, health chix souvlaki, gyro xtra meat, baba ghanoush, and a side of fries. The fries are perfect, they cut the top out of the cover so they don't steam to a soggy mess when traveling. I almost want to give them a five for this thoughtfulness alone. Here's a tip, order by phone than immediately show up to pick up. Even if you have to wait a minute, you'll be happy that your food is hot and delicious. Great Greek food, freshest an best tasting. From the baba, to the hummus, chicken slavaki salad... All great. Owner gets a bit "passionate" at times, but don't let him rub you the wrong way- he runs a tight ship.

We also got the fried calamari which was nicely lightly breaded paired with a creamy basil sauce and classic red sauce. As well as tuna crudo. The food is so good. We've gone to many Greek restaurants, and this one is perfect. The menu is not too large or to small. We shared the included Greek salad with the nicest dressing, and even took some dressing home. We also shared the avgelemono soup - lemon, chicken, rice - one of my favorites. I got the stuffed eggplant as a main course which had veggies, red sauce, and Mozzarella Cheese melted on top of an eggplant boat. It came with rice and stringbeans in tomato sauce. I substituted the beans for lemon potatoes - yes, 2 carbs. So shoot me. When my hubby got the stringbeans, i tried one and realized i do really like them here. Oh well. He got the basa fish and shrimp kebab with roasted tomatoes and onions. The fish is like a flounder and really good. I'm so looking forward to all the leftovers. Thank you to Santorini for making our "where do we want to eat now?" such a great choice!

Since all the dinners come with Greek salad, they put out a large bowl for four with serving tools in the middle of our table and some quartered, plain pita. You can get a limited selection of salad dressings on the side. My buddy wanted more feta cheese on the salad ... no problem. As to entrées, his wife thought the flounder was the best, while he enjoyed their stuffed eggplant. My wife stuck with her well done salmon and I had their stuffed peppers. I wanted to substitute rice for French fries ... no problem. The dinners come with the vegetable du jour and either lemon potatoes, French fries or rice. The only comment detracting from a rave review was that my (two) stuffed peppers had more rice than meat, but they still tasted very good. We parked for free in the lot behind and arrived shortly before 6:00 P.M. on a Saturday night. No reservation was required. The price was right, the food was fine, the waitress was nice, and the booth was so spacious, my wife and I didn't bother to hang our winter jackets (although our friends did).
