The menu is varied with the usual greek specialties. i ordered vegetarian moussaka which came with a greek salad, pita, side of rice and green beans. The rice was just ok but the green beans were good. the moussaka was good as well. i enjoyed the greek salad and dressing was flavorful. i would have liked some tzatziki on the side of the pita but oh well. service was pleasant and they didn't rush us out which my friend and i appreciated. read more

Santorini's was redecorating a number of years ago. It went from diner looking to more elegant. The staff is amazing. They always smile and bring everything you want. The food is so good. We've gone to many Greek restaurants, and this one is perfect. The menu is not too large or to small. We shared the included Greek salad with the nicest dressing, and even took some dressing home. We also shared the avgelemono soup - lemon, chicken, rice - one of my favorites. I got the stuffed eggplant as a main course which had veggies, red sauce, and Mozzarella Cheese melted on top of an eggplant boat. It came with rice and stringbeans in tomato sauce. I substituted the beans for lemon potatoes - yes, 2 carbs. So shoot me. When my hubby got the stringbeans, i tried one and realized i do really like them here. Oh well. He got the basa fish and shrimp kebab with roasted tomatoes and onions. The fish is like a flounder and really good. I'm so looking forward to all the leftovers. This time we were with friends whose impressions after dinner were consistent with a five star review. Since all the dinners come with Greek salad, they put out a large bowl for four with serving tools in the middle of our table and some quartered, plain pita. You can get a limited selection of salad dressings on the side. My buddy wanted more feta cheese on the salad ... no problem. As to entrées, his wife thought the flounder was the best, while he enjoyed their stuffed eggplant. My wife stuck with her well done salmon and I had their stuffed peppers. I wanted to substitute rice for French fries ... no problem. The dinners come with the vegetable du jour and either lemon potatoes, French fries or rice. The only comment detracting from a rave review was that my (two) stuffed peppers had more rice than meat, but they still tasted very good. We parked for free in the lot behind and arrived shortly before 6:00 P.M. on a Saturday night. No reservation was required. The price was right, the food was fine, the waitress was nice, and the booth was so spacious, my wife and I didn't bother to hang our winter jackets (although our friends did). read more

This was $27.... I love Greek food so I decided to give this place a try and unfortunately it was by far the worst I have ever had yet the most expensive. I've never ordered a Greek dinner platter where the sides are green beans and rice with tomato sauce on top... Both were not very good. Greek Palace down the block is soooo much better and the sides are delicious; fries and rice, not tomato sauce drenched like it is here. The chicken was kind of fatty and not that good either. Cute restaurant in a quiet residential area. Came with my family of 4 - there is no kids menu and they only serve beer, wine and soda. Our waitress was nice but seemed to be the only one taking the orders for the whole restaurant. She did forget our drinks but it was fine - I felt bad because she was so busy. They should really consider adding another waiter/waitress especially on the weekends. There were two other employees helping her but they seemed to be the busboys. The food was good. The Greek salad was delicious I loved that they added grape leaves however I don't think the cheese was feta.. it was sliced and didn't have the usual crumble that you would normally get from feta. We ordered the chicken kabob and shrimp & fish kabob i was expecting it to come out on skewers and the presentation of the plates were very sloppy. I ordered pickup through ubereats and had an issue where the person who was supposed to pick up wasn't going to be able to make it in time before they close. Called ubereats who asked me to call the restaurant and see if they have a courier to deliver, since the former didn't have an option to switch to delivery; I was told they don't. About 30 mins after my order was supposed to be picked up, I hustled my way to the restaurant and was told that they would re-make my order since it was sitting there for a while - something that was totally unexpected and spoke volumes about how much they value quality, as it wasn't their fault it wasn't picked up when it was supposed to. I don't think I have ever enjoyed waiting for my food as much as I have - the host was very personable and we had a great conversation about the restaurant's food and others in the area. I had mentioned to him that I haven't seen a restaurant serve fried zucchini with skordalia since I had gone to a long-ago closed restaurant in NYC's upper eastside, and how excited I was to see that they offer it on their menu. The skordalia was delicious - not too garlicky - and paired with the thinly-sliced zucchini chips, was the perfect appetizer. I ordered two as my meal, but had plenty of leftovers for a snack. They don't take reservations. Called and asked what the wait was. Gentleman was polite and only said approximately 15 minutes for 3 people. We ended up there at the perfect time because shortly after a lot of people came in after us. Sat in a booth, lots of room. Waters were refilled constantly. Lots of menu choices! The chicken kebob dinner was absolutely delicious!! Juicy tender chicken and same with the gyro dinner! It also came with a salad which was yummy and they put the dressing on the table for you which I liked. I had a 20% off coupon from the mail if you use cash to pay and got almost $15 off my check. This has been our basic go to place for Greek food in past decades. Their soups and gyros are first rate. Their fried zucchini app is superb. Good selection of Greek beers. Recently beautifully redecorated. Only complaint is a sparse supply of lamb options. Lamb gyro does not count because it is basically sausage. Otherwise, a total keeper. read more

The zucchini was paper thin and fried beautifully. My wife ordered the vegetarian Moussaka and I ordered the Moussaka. It came with a Greek salad. The dressing is fantastic. We came close to buying a bottle to go. The moussaka came with a side of stewed green beans and yellow rice. Both were delicious. Her moussaka was very good. Mine was cold in the middle. Excellent , I ordered through a delivery service. I got the lamb gyro, with added feta. It was a little salty, but most likely was from the feta. Meat was tasty, pita soft and warm, tzatziki sauce had a perfect balance of creamy and garlic. The pita was stuffed full...a lot of meat and veggies ! After coming here last Friday, my wife and I decided to head back last night. It was about 5PM so the place was understandably mostly empty, we got our same table by the floor to ceiling windows as last week. Different ways I can approach this review, but all you need to know about how management runs this place is as follows: 1 appetizer 2 entrees 1 dessert 2 bottles of wine 4 glasses of wine 1 espresso 1 Greek coffee We were charged for all, which is their absolute right. But Yelp also allows us the right to call bullshit. Tables around us were drinking mostly water, soda and at best a some glasses of wine. Common sense says you maybe buy back two glasses? Or at the very least don't charge us $40 for 4 glasses, charge us the $36 bottle price, it shows you're human. Maybe just a coffee could have been comped, or dessert? No, they charged for everything. We went to Il Mulino last week and they bought back some of their happy hour drinks. The idea that Il Mulino would do that with their next level wine, and this place wouldn't is ridiculous. Equally ridiculous that we paid the same $10 for wine at Il Mulino as we did for "wine" at this place. I posted a picture of the receipt, laughable. We live locally, to quote Pretty Woman, "big mistake, huge!" I wouldn't bother based on how they treat customers. We left the server 20%+ because it wasn't his fault management failed to train him. My shrimp scampi dinner included a small Greek salad which was so delicious. My son's mixed grill was also wonderful. My wife's chicken souvlaki was also a hit. Service was good and prices were fair. Horrible greek salad contained the worst and most inauthentic mass produced feta cheese they could find along with GMO iceberg lettuce leaves with unripened tomatoes proudly perched on top. What an embarrassment for a GREEK RESTAURANT to serve as its SIGNATURE salad. Stuffed peppers with beef should be renamed stuffed peppers with NO BEEF as the rice to beef ratio was 4:1 in favor of rice. Lentil soup was good. Pita bread sucked. Found my new go-to Greek in the area! Came here on a Tuesday night with a friend for dinner. We were seated immediately, then brought over menus and waters (in really cool glasses) before being asked if we were ready. It was paced a little too quickly for my liking. We hadn't been sitting for more than a minute and a half before being asked if we were ready, then were told to let her know when we decided. I was turned off at the beginning, but service took a turn for the better. I ordered a chicken gyro sandwich with just lettuce and tahini sauce and a piece of spanikopita. My friend ordered the chicken melinzana, which was stuffed eggplants topped with chicken breast, melted mozzarella, and tomato sauce. It was served with a Greek salad, pita bread, and rice pilaf. She really enjoyed her dish, and I enjoyed mine as well, and will continue to do so for at least another day since the serving was so large I barely put a dent in it. The waitress came over to ask how our meal was many times during, which was very nice. After we packed our leftovers to go, she asked if we'd like to see a dessert menu. I said yes, because I wanted to bring something home for my boyfriend, but she joked and said she shouldn't allow me since I didn't finish my dinner. She was a gem. This is absolutely the best Greek food in NY. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is beautiful and we order takeout or delivery once a week. Hummus, Falafel, Gyro, Tsatziki and the salads are amazing! I've been eating here for years and I've eaten everything on the menu and it's consistently excellent.
