Came here 2 weeks ago and I loved how my nails came out. Came back today and was totally disappointed. Chrystal who did my nails was so sloppy and rude. I like my nails to look natural and not thick like fake nails. After 2 coats of polish I told her that it's looking kinda thick already. She said it's required a third layer because it's a light pink color. But I know that's not the case. Her skills is not as good where you can tell the way she put on the polish when you have to Lee double dipping and fill in the missing spots. That's not what got me upset. As I explained to her that I don't like it, she looked at me and said can I finish first. Then she started to speak her language to other ppl about me. After I let her finish it really came out thick and I didn't like it. I complained to I guess the store manager who did my nails last week. Then Chrystal spoke to her in her language again then took out her phone to take a photo of my nails. I asked her why she's taking pic of my nails she said don't worry about it. I would come back because The store manager is giving me a free mani for next time. But Chrystal was rude and unprofessional!! Ppl come here to relax and want to walk out with pretty nails and feel satisfied. I was really upset that she was rude and talking about me in front of me. By the way she was speaking in both FJ and Mandarin. I understand a little Mandarin that's how I knew she was talking about me. read more

I've heard nothing but good things about this place, but had a really poor experience my first time (I think my girl may have been new) for powder gel. - Whole experience took over an hour - my friend got a gel mani/pedi and was done at the same time as me - Filed my nails so hard one started bleeding - When they were removing my gel, only let it soak for a couple seconds before chipping away at it so hard it hurt - had to ask her to stop and let it soak. Clearly didn't know what she was doing - Left my nails a total mess, lots of purple polish soaked into my skin all over my fingertips. The owner came by and started to help her clean but post showering there is still a ton of dark paint left on my fingers. read more

Well, I showed them my review of my first visit (on my second visit) to get the discount and they wouldn't give me a discount. I just tried out this place and cannot be more disappointed! The lady who did my nails (Lili) seemed slow and inexperienced. I had went in to remove my gel mani and to get a regular polish done. She did not remove my gels completely so the surface was rough and uneven and later when the polish went on it looked SO bad and streaky I told her to check her work so she removed the polish and buffed the surface. In addition, she filed my nails unevenly and barely cleaned my cuticles. Honestly if not to avoid the hassle to take off my gels I can done better job by myself at home. Towards the end when I was waiting for my nails to dry I also realized a bunch of small nail polish spots just on my fingers and had to ask another coworker (michelle) to clean it for me. Their manager seemed nice and friendly but too bad the quality is just not there. Will NOT be back! read more

Do not come here for a regular manicure. I got their regular manicure using the Vinylux polish. For $18 - not including tip - I ended up with bubbled, unevenly painted and horribly filed nails. This was such a bad manicure, I took off the polish and reshaped my nails as soon as I got home. No hand massage during manicure and no shoulder massage while drying. Salon is clean and they have a great color selection, but you can find a much higher quality nail spa where you'll paying a premium price and actually see a premium result. read more

I've had Bertha and Yuki as technicians, both extremely friendly, attentive, and great at their work! Other places in the area I've found are way too expensive for a mediocre job, affordable but really terrible at doing a basic manicure, or a sad combination of both. Only Nails has a beautiful, comfortable interior rather than many run-down salons in FiDi. Awesome selection of colors. Will easily be my new go-to whenever I need pretty nails!! read more

I had an incredible experience. I work across the street at the SweatShed Fitness Studio and have been looking for a cute, trendy, nail salon in the FiDi. I saw they had just opened so popped in tonight for a mani. They were super friendly and accommodating, I walked in at 6:30PM, primetime, was greeted by a friendly staff, picked my color and only waited a few minutes. 6:30PM is primetime for nails in FiDi so I was surprised they were able to see me so quickly, I was definitely totally ok with waiting. My manicurists were Sarah and Yuki and they were both great! Very friendly, detailed and did a gorgeous job with my mani. Yuki gave me a top coat of the Essie Gel topcoat free of charge and a great shoulder rub. The entire facility is decorated beautifully, clean and very adorable/on trend/current. Even the clocks are rose gold and there are succulents and plants everywhere. I'm so happy to have found my new go to nail salon, so happy this beautiful and inexpensive nail salon has opened up in my hood! My mani was 13.50, I paid cash. I saw a sign that if you pay cash you 5% off your bill. Wifi is free also! This place is a gem. Obsessed, and obsessed with my gorgeous winter mani! read more

I went to this salon when it had newly opened. I see it crowded all the time. They have beautiful collection of polish colors, good hygiene standards and friendly staff. My polish was applied evenly- although it lasted only for 3 days. I am definitely coming back to try the gel polish. read more

Because i live in the neighborhood and because i was short on time, i decided, against my better judgement to come give if another try. Boy am i sorry. My friend and i came and friend got a gel mani. The mani was rushed and the painted nails were not good. She polished ALMOST the whole nail but not quite. Looked like her nails were grown out. Told the manager and she basically told us " that's how we do it here. I got a regular pedi and all ten nails managed to have different shapes. When i drew attention to it, she said that was the best she could do. My nail polish is uneven. One has a thick coat coat to a point where the polish was pooling on the end. Well...I had a horrible experience at Only Nails. I asked for a pedicure and through the entire process, the nail technician, pardon the pun, was uncaring and quite rude. She behaved as if she were doing my nails for free. I asked for a nail color, she sauntered about, huffing and puffing. She didn't buff my nails at all which left the polish bumpy looking. I'm very sorry to have to report this but after 3 weeks from my original pedicure with this establishment, I was diagnosed with a fungus of my toe nail. I definitely wasn't expecting this outcome.
