I can confidently say that my experience here for manicures and pedicures is the best quality and most professional I've ever had. Jessica does an amazing job - she provides suggestions and input based on your unique nail shape/situation, and my nails always look amazing when I leave. The best part is they hold up super well - I have a dog and a toddler which means I'm constantly getting my hands dirty/soapy/sunscreeny, and on only one occasion did I have an issue with a nail between appointments. I reached out to Jessica and she got me in to fix it ASAP free of charge. If you want meticulously done nails that last, this is definitely the place. It's not cheap but I've found it to be far more value for your money than other cheaper places.

I tried to book my next appointment when leaving Mars Nails early November but they instructed me…read moreto book online. I said okay and requested an appointment for thanksgiving day (didn't realize what day I requested for). It said I had requested an appointment, but my appointment was not accepted. I figured it was because of the holiday and decided I'd book one when I was back. You can imagine my surprise when I get a text, on Thanksgiving day, an entire hour after my appointment from Margot asking if I'm coming to my requested appointment. I texted her back with a question mark and screenshot that my last approved appointment request was the first week of November and that my appt request for Thanksgiving was never approved nor did I receive a text for it. She responded with a photo of her calendar, which showed the entire day blocked and a question mark showing the unapproved status of my "appt". I pointed this out to her. She ignored it and said she's open until 6pm. I said unfortunately it's a national holiday I am out of town. Had my requested appointment been approved and confirmed I would be there, but since it wasn't I have not planned to be. She then blocked me from ever booking another appointment. Not sure how this is remotely acceptable considering it was her mistake. Incredibly unprofessional/immature behavior. Which is a shame because she was a great technician. A client can't know they have an appt if you 1. Never approved the appointment request and 2. Never confirm the appt.

I contacted Faye on 10/6 Wednesday to reschedule and was left on read. Now it's Monday and at 11:45am as I write this. I messaged her around 10:30am today to reschedule as meetings came through on my work schedule and I can't move them. So I contacted her to reschedule to another time. According to her deposit rules, she just needs 24 hour notice (which I've given) and you can transfer the deposit to another appointment ONCE (which I haven't done yet because I have only made one appointment). Anyways, I've called her on IG twice and no response. I've also called her on the number listed on Google and no response. If I lose $30 that's okay if I save other people time, money, and effort. It's upsetting because this is clearly a small biz owned by a female minority and I want to support but if you're going to have rules, maybe follow them? Or provide better customer service. First experience was ok although both…read moreappointments, no one gives a book for colors, nothing is explained as first timer unless asked and even when asking front desk doesn't want to be bothered or answers as if we should all know and understand the process. The menu can be a little confusing especially with refill options which is supposed to be on a cheaper scale. Apparently a hard gel refill doesn't include the hard gel top coat so when no base solid color was added but only designs done, the manicurist tech still added $60 to the bill (for using a clear Presto Hard Gel No Wipe Polish!) when the only thing in the end that the manicurist asks after filing, shaping, paint, design is all cured is ensuring everything is fine for top coat to be added. Manicurist tech is fast and no game player or entertain to share opinion when providing design ideas and only follows what is told although seems super creative but sticks with 'whatever u want'. Last encounter was rude and impatient and when we couldn't get design right, offered me the brush to design it myself and i was constantly being blamed for lint any time i put hands in and out of led light. This poor distasteful bad experience that was supposed to be a 'me-time' therapeutic hour of joy was filled with animosity, sadness and left me feeling medically unwell with a spiked blood pressure from holding back my attitude. Since the moment I sat on the chair, manicurist was already fighting thru the day and I even offered to take a break if they needed a moment. Tipping isn't required but expected since the tip% is set during checkout. I still left a tip because the assignment of nail design was complete in the end (using only Leafgel builder gel pots, no base solid color). Tried out the expensive Pedicure and not worth it as the pedicure seat is uncomfortable to get in and out of. Pedicure was thorough in work for 1 hour but the experience was mediocre for the price spa package. Hard gel extension and hard gel refill (using IBD UV Hard Gel) did last 3 weeks on my nails which nothing survives past 10 days. Wanted to commit to this place but poor customer service for the price you pay for nails.

I've been a customer for 2+ years and I tip 15%-20% every time with Sherry. I've referred people to this nail salon because I truly do like the work that they do. Recently, I've come to find that I am blocked. Why? I used my friend's number and they picked up on the first ring. The receptionist refused to book me. I called again and spoke with the manager. The manager states that because I missed one appointment and my nail tech Sherry refuses to see me. There's been no communication to me, no follow up to see if I was running late or if forgot altogether on her part. The manager offered another nail tech but after this treatment- I have no desire to go back. Two years of consistency and now I'm black listed for one missed appointment? I am very offended that this is the way they treat a recurring customer.

I woke up with stomachache along with fever and other things I'm sure no one wants to hear and this person decided to text me that they were still going to charge for the full service ($400) for eyelashes and nails when I had already canceled out the appointment for the nails days before the appointment but they still thought it was cute to charge me for it on a day when I was trying to recover and had to cancel many other appointments I had understanding how this can damage a business. Nevertheless, this is NY even when you do get a cancellation you still don't have a cancellation because someone else will come along and take the spot, not saying it makes it ok to cancel on businesses under this pretense but it's about being considerate. I made my appointment a week in advance and if I knew a week ago when I booked my appointment that I was going to catch a stomach bug that would cause me to feel like I had been turned inside out the day of the appointment then I wouldn't have booked it. It wasn't enough for them to text me about it when I call to confront them but they also gave me someone else's credit card number that they had ALSO added to my profile and divulged the information. I also expressed not wanting to be used for the apprentice of a new technician because I am paying for a training session that should happen under your own time and definitely with your own staff until the person is ready to be on the floor, I told them to please just have someone who has experience working with nails (for which I already had Japanese gel on and they were saying that they needed to remove it and it would be $35 more even though I literally explained to them the material was new and I was only getting my nails done to change the color NOT the material) and they just straight up refused. They are very rude and money hungry because they took on a spot that requires you to have a solid background of clients. I have seen businesses come and go in less than a year in the same spot because they cannot make the money necessary to pay for their rent so I understand what position she might be in but extorting people for money when last minute emergencies happen is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Then she said to still come in to the salon and that she would give me a 20% discount on the final bill, so she's rather risk her employees health along with other clients catching something that is clearly wreaking the immune system all to make sure they are paid. Before this I had only visited once, there was no courtesy extended for a first time cancellation or even the resolution of the issue by reschuling for a day when I wasn't sick just a straight up attach because I was sick and they were loosing money and would've preferred I got their staff sick than miss the appointment. The first time I visited the place was clean, I did have to wait 15 mins after my appointment to be seated for eyelashes and the lashes only lasted like a week and even then immediately after leaving the salon a lot of the hairs started to fall out, they do not work HAIR by HAIR, they group like 4-6 of your lashes together and glue them with the fake ones they put on so the job is done fast YES but not effectively leaving you with lasting results. Very sad for them and their business because like this they will be closing soon since nobody wants to deal with being mistreated in this way. I have left screenshots of what I did manage to get via text so they cannot say that they didn't do any of the things they are accused of here. When in NY and looking for a place to have your services done for DO NOT choose this one because it is convenient because in the long run you will regret having spent your money with them.
