Really disappointed as I have been here often since they opened but the quality of service has gone significantly down. I do not recommend for a regular manicure at all - the technician I had filed my nails unevenly and there were bubbles (holes) on several of them because she rushed through the service. Suffice it to stay my manicure didn't even last a week. Usually the dip powder manicures are great but today the technician was so inattentive. She had no clue what a coffin shape was and after showing her several photo examples, I had to ask for almond nails instead. She was so rough with filing that at one point I had to pull back my hand because of the pain. She only filed down the finished layers of powder on my thumbs and I had to ASK for her to do it for the remaining nails since they were so thick. Her tip reflected the poor service and while she started putting plastic wrap for my pedicures (as they always do for you with closed shoes) she stopped and insisted on an increased tip and had me do it myself instead. Later I noticed she already smudged my pedicure. Not at all worth the cost of service - a definite waste of money - and I won't be coming back here anymore. Bertha is the only good one if you do come, but I'd recommend you take your business and hard-earned money elsewhere. read more

This is a honest review. I spent $98 in that store this morning and gave $20 in tips. I had pedicure with shellac gel color. 10 mins foot massage and 10 mins back massage and SNS powder dip for my hand. I understand both Chinese and English but I spoke only English to the workers so I can have the same experience as others. The girl who provided service her name is Crystal. She did my shellac pedicure and it was great. 10 mins foot massage and it was good. Then she made a comment that my daughter looks pretty in Chinese, The owner/manager walked by, thinking that I don't understand Chinese, she replied " the daughter is pretty but the mom looks ugly" I wanted to stand up and walk away right there, but that would be not fair to Crystal who did nothing wrong. Again I act like I do not speak Chinese so I can have a real experience. The SNS dip powder service is very poor. Crystal gave me 3 coats of color and only use buffer (not machine) and she had to fix them many many times for them to look better. I do not recommend anyone doing SNS dip powder in this place. Then I asked to get 10min back massage and it was great. At the end Crystal is writing up a charge ticket. She said the SNS dip powder is $38 plus $5 for soak off and on their website it's $33! I had to showed her their own website price and she got the owner/ manager. The manager replied, oh that's the tax. So $33 plus tax is $38? What's the tax rate? She said 5% Crystal asked me to pay the manger and she left. So I asked the manager to write everything down so I can understand the price better. She did one by one and the total came out to $98 not $105. she did not apologized for the wrong calculation and was not polite at all. I gave her $120 in cash and was waiting for my change. I was planing to give Crystal $20 for tips regardless of my bad experience today. The Owner was not planing to give me any changes back, she asked" would you like me to give her the money or you want changes?" How about you give your customer the right changes back and let them tip you?! They all speaks very limited English and was communicating with each other in Chinese. They talk bad about customers in their language and talk about tips while the customers are still there. I won't come here ever again. read more

Best in the neighborhood. Better than Affina, which I know is a fan favorite. When I get CND Vinyluxe, it holds for almost 2 weeks. Which is great. I find that it's worth the price. read more

This place is a dump! Every time I come here the deny service. This is my second and last time trying to support this neighborhood nail salon. Very discriminatory practice of sizing up customers and deciding who and when they want to service. I hope they get reported by many other patrons ! Please speak up ! read more

This place is amazing. The owner is kind and accommodating and once even did my manicure herself in 2 sessions bc I was short of time. Their gel mani urges always last me at least 3 weeks and only ever take about an hour. Reasonable pricing and very cute ambiance. Highly recommend ! read more

I was staying at Aloft and walked by and figured I would try them. I was greeted promptly and there was no wait on a Friday afternoon. My nails were done in Nashville so there is no gaurantee on the color match on my toes, but when I tell you she made a color out of 2 colors you would think she did my nails and hands. I am absolutely pleased with the results. I just wish the soak was longer as my feet really didn't get the scrub I needed but i will visit again bc it looks good and they were nice enough to charge my phone for me too! and it's clean on the inside. read more

Only Nails is my weekly spot -- needless to say, I really like the place. Having tested out many options in the neighborhood, this one is by far the cleanest and highest quality. When you go to Only Nails, you never have to worry about the tools being sanitized or the facilities being cleaned. They sanitize all tools in front of you and the store is spotless. The place has a very chill vibe - the decorations are bright and airy, it's quiet, and they play relaxing music. It's much more lux than your average nail salon. Only Nails also does a great job on your nails (finally, the main point of the review!). I've gotten manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, powder gel manicures, and massages, all of which are consistently awesome. My nail polish always lasts much longer when I get them done at Only Nails, when compared to other salons. There's no getting around the price being a little more expensive, but it's well worth it. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of how busy it gets. Sometimes you have to wait 10-15 minutes, even with an appointment. During prime times, like Sunday afternoons or right after work, you may have to wait 30-45 minutes as a walk-in. Given that they are open late, I would suggest going at off hours and making an appointment. read more

I usually have a good experience here because I usually get powered dip nails. But, I decided gel this time and it already chipped after only 2 days. Very disappointed and it wasn't worth the $80+ I paid for gel mani pedi. read more

Terrible nail salon. It took 2 hours+ to do a dip manicure and polish change on my toes. The salon made my toes bleed during a polish change! I was so thrilled to discover this place. (I have tried several others in the neighborhood and have not been pleased. They are either overpriced or my nails have smudged or chipped within a couple days.) Only Nails is very reasonably priced, the staff was very nice, accommodating and did a wonderful job. Best part: my nails are still in GREAT shape after TEN days. With just a regular manicure. That never happens. I will definitely be back. read more

Every one was nice and friendly. But the job they do is really bad. I only get my nails done like 1x a month or 1x every 2 months to shape and get the cuticle out. I love painting my nails myself. I was shocked by 1, they don't use a base coat. 2, the way my tech painted my nails is just so streaky. It's barely been a day and my nails look so bad. I'll probably take it off and redo the polish myself. TLDR: cost $20 ish with tip for a manicure. People are nice, painting is bad. You get what you pay for. read more

I wanted to like this place so bad however after 2 visits with the same issue I won't be returning. I've NEVER had an SNS powder manicure that lasted less than 2 weeks! For whatever reason I never get a manicure from them that has lasted more than 3/4 days tops! The powder they're using must be the cheapest because it always chips or the top coat starts to bubble! Absolutely loved this salon!! Bertha was so helpful and kind while greeting everyone, getting them settled, and also working on other customers. Gaby did my nails! She was so kind and helpful. She has been doing nails for 15 years. They had tons of color choices for SNS dip powder. My nails were looking so rough before Gaby fixed them up! I love how they only used a regular file, rather than the electric file that can easily damage the nail. Super happy! Definitely will be back! read more

I came here consistently for a year. I always went to Gaby. She was always VERY rude but I thought she did a good job so I kept going back. Today she got up and walked out of my appointment because I asked her if my nails needed more time to soak and returned only after the lady at the front asked her to. I really regret leaving her a tip because she is so nasty. There's plenty of other places in the neighborhood. read more

I hate writing bad reviews but I've come here multiple times and have had mediocre manicures. The reason for my absolute disgust with this place and the reason I am writing this review is because of the terrible service. My most recent visit I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure ($66 total). I gave her both my debit card and credit and she insisted both were declined after swiping each twice. That alone was upsetting because she made a scene as if I was unable to pay for my service. Instead I calmly went to the ATM and paid cash (with the same, very much full debit card). The next day I see 4 separate charges for this singular service across the two cards she tried IN ADDITION to the withdrawal from their ATM accounting for over $300 in money taken out. I went back to get refunded and they all insisted they didn't know what I was talking about despite me showing them proof. DISGUSTING AND ILLEGAL!!!! Had to fight with my credit and debit card companies to get $265 back. read more

This is a sleek, modern looking space that sets it apart from many of the independent nail salons in the city. Excited to have a well-reviewed nail salon in my neighborhood, I went in for a powder dip manicure. So, the positives: - Instruments were removed from sealed packages - My nails were nicely shaped, which was an achievement considering how short they are - The manicurist was meticulous about cleaning up my ragged cuticles Now the not-so-positive: - The powder dip was applied too thickly, with three layers applied when two would have sufficed - There were bumpy sections on some of the nails where the polish was not smoothed out - And, the biggest sin of them all: The edges of the manicure began to lift within a few days, with all the polish peeled off within a week and a half Still, I think this place has potential, so I'll return again for a basic or gel manicure before I make any final judgments. read more

Stopped by on my lunch break without a reservation. My manicurist was so lovely and really took her time with everything. Even got a shoulder rub while my nails dried! I was really excited when I found only nails through yelp. It was one of the highest rated salons in the financial district. The first time I tried it I had a great experience. I got powder dip nails for the first time, and they lasted for over a month with minimal chips. Following this, I went back to get powder nails again. I was going on vacation the following week, and based on my previous experience expected the nails to still be perfect by then. This time I had a very different experience. Within two days one of the nails had chipped. Due to their 7 day guarantee, I was able to go back and get it fixed. I am now at 2 weeks since I got them done, and two of the gels have completely fallen off (including one that was redone a week ago) and another one is badly chipped. I will be looking for a new salon read more

Love! I am in from LA and just walked in from the street near my hotel. The place is so cute, was very busy but since I was only getting gel manicure they took me right away. JUNE was the mail of my technician and she could not have been nicer, more efficient, or meticulous. I always worry when at a new spot, she was more concerned with my nails perfection than I think I was. THEN, she got up and rubbed my shoulders! I wasn't expecting and it was a very nice treat! I will absolutely be back next time in town for work and would recommend to any and everyone. Thanks June! Great job! read more

First visit was perfect when the owner was present. Today I came and needed a nail done and was treated horribly. My suggestion would be not to go unless the is around. read more

Don't waste your time and money. I made an appointment and was seen right away but my gel manicure was rushed and sloppy. The gel color options are extremely limited. They gave me two folders of nail colors to choose from but it was very limited and maybe about 40 colors all together, when interestingly enough on their website they state that they have "over 400 colors to choose from". When I asked for French the lady (named Helen) looked at me, annoyed, and just said "10 dollars more". I had to make her re-file my nails 4 different times because the shape was sloppy and my nails were all different lengths. Even after re-filing multiple times they still looked bad but I just shrugged my shoulders at that point. She rushed through the painting process and when she saw 3 more customers walked in she forced me to take my nails out from under the light too early and proceeded to forcefully and aggressively paint on another coat to speed up the whole thing. The French tip white lines are not clean, and there's bubbles under my nails from what I believe is taking them out from the UV light too early. She also sped through cutting my cuticles which are not even trimmed. I could've done a better gel manicure at home. This was also $55 dollars and I'm pissed. Won't be returning. read more

Updating my review. Anyone that usually gets SNS knows that they last up to 3 weeks. I noticed the nails were incredibly thick, which isn't an issue if they last. The problem is that this usually leads SNS to crack and/or lift. Guess what happened to mine? Both things. My index fingernail cracked right down the center and started lifting. When the nail lifts, that means anything and everything can get caught in the nail. They have a 7 day policy where you can come back in and they'll fix any nail for free. I came back in on Day 4 and told the woman that it would make sense to actually take the SNS off that one nail and reapply it from scratch. What did she proceed to do? She filed the top coat off and proceeded to add MORE SNS powder on top...making it thicker than it already was. Fine. I noticed small cracks on the other nails but didn't want to waste anymore time there. They didn't charge me for this and I left. Day 6, guess what? The nail was lifting even more and my hair was getting stuck in it. The rest of the nails looked atrocious. Day 8? I had to pop into a neighborhood nail salon and ask to have the SNS powder removed and redone. When the nail tech at my local salon saw my nails she's like "oh wow they're super thick! And it's been what? 3 weeks?" I was like no a WEEK! She was shocked at how terrible this SNS powder job was. Don't bother coming here for anything more than a regular mani/gel manicure. read more

Best salon I have found in Manhattan! The SNS is a few dollars more than most other salons but it's worth it. (If you pay in cash it's a little cheaper.) I've gone here every once and a while for over a year, but my experiences have become too hit or miss. I got the powder gel manicure and did the extra option of getting them done with french tips. They looked beautiful but a few days later the gel started lifting off of my nail. It's been 8 days and the gel is about to fall off of my nail in one whole piece. There's air bubbles underneath some of the nails where it's begun to lift off as well. I hate leaving negative reviews but for the amount of money I spent and the fact that I've barely done anything that would cause it to chip, I'm very disappointed in the poor application. read more
