I needed a quick pedicure and had one done here before. It was fine. Today's service- not good. The quality is low and the tech told me the reason she shaped my nail crooked is because my cuticle is uneven. That does not even make sense. Sloppy polish application and shaping. Cleanliness standards need to be upped. If a nail tool falls on the floor- Immediately dispose. Do not put it back on the tray with the other tools. Gross! The owner is disappointing. They seem bitter about a 3 star review. Well now it is a 1 star review. Boom! I have used the same name for all my appointments. I did use my new phone number for my appointment today though. Seeing as I am a Black woman with locs- Of course I am memorable. Vancouver is primarily white. The only time I did not pay for a service is when the gel manicure was undeniably bad- really really bad to where they quickly just said I didn't need to pay. Since then, I've gone elsewhere for manicures. I thought a simple pedicure would be easy enough to not mess up. Guess not. read more

Disappointed with our first visit here. My tech put all of the polish on at once, base, 2 coats of color, and topcoat. They sent us out and later we see that the polish bubbled up. My toe hurts and is throbbing four days after the pedicure, that's how roughly she worked on me. My daughter has a bloody cuticle, still sore and tender after 4 days. I spent $177 for 2 manicures and 2 pedicures, expected better. The spa is pretty inside, comfy chairs, but I'm not planning to return. By the way, tip was separate from that $177. They have a punch card that they stamp with every $20 spent. Mine was only stamped a few times (4 I think) did not reflect the amount I spent. read more

This was my first time at Only Nails and Spa. I haven't had much luck in the past finding someone who could do my nails the way I want them. I received a recommendation to try this salon and decided to take a chance on them. I'm so happy I did! Jenny was able to do my nails exactly like I wanted them. She listened very carefully to me when I described what I wanted and let me show her a couple pictures. Jenny nailed it! I've already scheduled an appointment for her to do a fill in a couple of weeks. I am beyond happy and will continue to support Only Nails and Spa. I highly recommend them. read more

I went to this nail salon because of the good reviews & pictures. I called ahead and they said the price of a full set would be $55. So I show up and ask for a double French tip with an almond shape, which seemed simple compared to the pictures I've seen on their reviews. They started taking my old acrylics off by buffing off the top layer & after that, they used nail clippers with the pointy end and ripped the nails off, which is super damaging. (Ouch!) while ripping my nail off, I start to bleed. I wanted to get up right then and leave, but I can tell she was nervous & I felt bad. I'm sitting there bleeding and in pain so another lady came over to help and she buffed that nail instead of trying to rip it off. NOT ONCE DID THEY STOP TO CLEAN THE BLOOD. I'm in beauty school and we learned the importance of infection control/safety and sanitation and they did not follow protocol. They slapped some superglue on top and then proceeded to tell me that it's because my nails were "too thin" . They buffed my nails and tried ripping off the acrylic with nail clippers, of course it's thin now. Then she had me soak my hands in a bag full of acetone which isn't the correct way to remove acrylics. You're supposed to soak a cotton round, put it on the nail and cover with foil.. I have extremely dry skin and the acetone dried my hands out.. (you can see in the picture). She then started buffing my nails again and they were all stinging and burning (ring of fire). She was starting the full set but she didn't bother sizing the acrylic nail tip to my finger, she just put superglue and guessed which size to use and they're too big for my fingers. She put globs of superglue on my whole finger rather than the tip and the glue spread all over the bed of my finger nails and got underneath. I wanted to get up and leave but I saw the lady shaking so I let her continue. I changed my double French tip to a plain thin red French tip to make it easier. I just wanted to get out. She didn't know how to do it herself so another girl had to do it, which was fine but the final product was awful. Fast forward to the end result. They're uneven and crooked, the nail tips are too big, the shapes aren't even the same. there's a bunch of glue still under the nails & the design I wanted was simple but turned out not great on top of that it was $80! I've never paid that much for nails before in my life. it's day 3 and they're already lifting and the finger that bled still hurts! I paid for it because I felt bad but I really feel like I was jipped. I'm in the service industry as well and I guess I just know the feeling of being too anxious to do a service and I really hoped she could surprise me with an amazing result!It's my fault for not speaking up sooner but I'm really upset with this. If you want great quality service, don't come here. EDIT: I called the spa and expressed my concern and they told me to come in. A worker told me she could put one more coat on it & it would be fine. I told her no I want my money back because I'm not happy with them. I spoke to the owner Tina on the phone and she was understanding and apologetic about the experience and said they could give the refund. Then the nail tech grabbed my hands and stacked them on top of one another and took a picture. This upset me because I didn't give her permission. The ladies here are great! They are all super sweet and honestly all do a great job, they were willing to see my friend and I for a pedicure at the very end of the day. We appreciated them for fitting us in and being super sweet about it! I have only gotten pedicures here but I see their manicures on some of the ladies leaving and it's beautiful work. Went in for a simple French set like I've had for the last 30 years. I came to this salon to be with my daughter because she was getting married and thought it would be great if we and my granddaughter could have a spa day. we were separated the entire time. Never close enough to talk wedding plans. My nails were beautiful when done. Jenny did them. She was great. The price through me back against the wall. Never in my imagination would I be charged so much. inflation? I get it. But not DOUBLE what I normally pay. Can't do it. Won't be back. Myself and my daughters came here to try this place out. Right from the start we were disappointed. We called in advance and made an appointment for three people when we got there there was only two staff members. This caused us to be here for an extremely long time I believe it was maybe 3 hours or more. One of us just sat there soaking our feet for about an hour because since there was three of us and only two of them that meant one person had to wait. When making the appointment we asked if they could do our feet and our hands at the same time they had said yes but that was not the case. We wanted shellac and they did not have the colors that we were looking for but decided to give it a try anyways. The staff was overly friendly and even when myself in my daughters were speaking in our language they kept on interrupting and asking questions. I guess this is a matter of opinion but for me I did not enjoy this. I have naturally long nails and explain to heard that it was important that they remain healthy and long. As you can see by the pictures she put the shellac way too thick and this caused the new place that I went to to have a hard time taking it off even after soaking my hands for over an hour. One of my nails broke and they all hurt and felt weak. My daughter's nails were in the same condition and her shellac fell off here and there within 3 days. My youngest daughter because of the way her toenails were cut got an ingrown toenail and a very bad blister on her big toe. I would not recommend this place I do see that it has 5 stars but only 8 reviews in total. I am not sure if this was an off-day or what was going on but needless to say we will not be returning. read more

Although I've never had a terrible service here. I've had terrible customer service by the employees at this salon. I left a review early last year saying how amazing they are and how great they do with providing excellent looking nails and toes. Well I had an appointment about late October of 2018 and I went in and they asked me to come back in 2 days because they had too many walk ins there during my appointment, and they were booked up for the next few days. New to this side of town, so I stopped by for a gel manicure and eye brow wax. I got there at 5, and she was fast and efficient. Not much in the way of chit-chat. I was fine with that. She did a good job on my nails, then took me to the back room for eyebrows. It had been a while since I had last been in, so I was expecting the pain. But she was quick and to the point. my fiancé and I went to get our eyebrows waxed and as soon as we walked or not only did people stare at us so did the workers because we were two woman in a relationship! they kept talking in there language and staring at us because my fiancé called prior schdueling two waxing apointments for her "fiancé and I" . also, during my wax the lady kept asking if I wanted to add lip waxing and I politely declined and looked at me and said I had hair on my lip pressuring me to get it done. will not come here again!! rude service !! read more
