Tina and her team are amazing and professional, they took good care of me when I was there! They are extremely friendly and outgoing, they made you feel comfortable and welcomed. They are very gentle when working with my nails as I bite and pick at my nails a lot which left them pretty short, but they worked it through and made my nails look amazing. I came back a couple times as I know I will have a good experience/times, leave with amazing nails, and know that I can always trust them to work their magics. I moved to Vancouver in March and was looking for a new salon. Came across this place. A little pricey but I gave it a try. The girl who was my tech "Hannah," did an outstanding job on my nails and toes. Thought I had found my place! Went back once or twice more, then right before school started, the younger nail techs vanished. I called to make an appointment with Hannah, and then said she wasn't there. So like a month or so passes and I call again to make an appointment with Hannah. They said ok, Saturday at 2p. When I show up, there are some younger guys (most likely family) that greet me. I say I'm here for my appointment with Hannah. They look confused. So another lady (who has seen me there before) comes out and says there's no Hannah thay works there. So, they took my appointment knowing the requested nail tech wasn't there. I ask for Hannah. She looks confused. Says no Hannah works there. I said "The younger girl that was here a couple of months ago." She said "Oh, her name is Ny. Maybe you at the wrong shop." Wrong shop? Like I don't know where I've been driving to come get my nails done for several months now! She said the girl wasn't there. So, idk who did my nails, Hannah or Ny, but she's gone and I won't be back. Girl gave me a wrong name from the jump. I tip well, too. So if you just didnt want my business, should've said that. Not lie to me about your name so i look crazy when i request said name. WellC I made an appointment which is cool. She got my polish wrong which sucks but she was willing to change it but I didn't have time. She cut me with nippers which is always sketchy. He was very nice about apologizing which is nice. Then she didn't nip my cuticles or clean around the polish so by the time I got to my car I had to use nail clippers to clean up my polish and cuticles. I have been unable to get a pedi for 3 months. I decided to go in to be pampered a bit today. I discovered the shop has changed owners and my regular person whom I have gone to for years is no longer there. I called had from the parking lot to be sure they could take me. (they typically take walk ins) I was told they could take me a 2:10p which worked well for me. I came back for the appointment and waited for over 50 minutes. They had taken another customer and took care of her first even though I had an appointment. Strike one in my book. During that 50 min they did not tell me I would have to wait. No one said a word the entire time. I was ready to walk out when a technician sitting near by noticed and said it'll be a minute. After another 10 minutes the technician finally came to me. Strike two. Now I take all my own tools and polish for my own protection, I am diabetic. I felt the technician was rushing my service through!! I did NOT get the even half of the service I have received all these years. Then received an extra charge. Strike 3. The technician decided on her own MY polish was not the right color and tried to talk me into others they have, even after I declined more than once. Strike 4. I am NOT pleased in the least!! I will be finding another salon to give my business to. read more

First time... Last time Scheduled and appt for 11 am -wait 15 min. Not a big deal. One of the techs came over. Some of the customers weren't very friendly and were frankly weird - I could have lived without the customer talking about her butt tattoo loud enough for the whole shop to hear. I paid for the 45.00 "deluxe " pedicure - not sure what was deluxe. It felt like a basic pedicure. The lady was nice, but when she tried to get out my ingrown toenail it was very painful and my toe bled. Finally got that done - then went to get the dip. The color I chose wasn't available - okay - picked another color. She started doing my nails - and realized halfway through she forgot something in the process to had to start from scratch. A pedicure and dip took over 3 hours - close to 3 and a 1/2 hours. I then had to wait to pay - with the owner saying" we'll be with you in a couple of minutes." I just wanted to pay and go - no way I would ever come back. Maybe it was just a super busy day - and maybe they are usually very nice - but it wasn't a comfortable experience - and I tipped 20% for an awful service. I am not going to penalize the tech - but I will also never come back or recommend this place. read more

I love getting my nails done here. All the nail techs do a great job and I usually don't have any issues with getting in without an appointment. I love that they have punch cards! I have never been to any other nail salon that does that. It's great. I have only gotten shellac manicures which is $25 but they do offer waxing services, facials, etc. read more

I don't think I would recommend Glow Nails to anyone. There are a couple of reasons for this- the primary one being that the gal cut my cuticle and didn't seem too concerned that as she kept filing I was wincing in pain. I mentioned that it hurt but it didn't seem to register. Secondly, while I was pleased with the look of the cat eye effect of the polish- the actual quality of the application isn't the best I've had. My fingers were left with paint still on them, my nails were left with marks from the magnet (used to make the cat eye effect). I just got the impression she would rather hurry me out than what the quality was, so I didn't bother to ask her to fix the issues. read more

I went in there and got a pedicure a week ago, she clipped me with the nail clippers on my left toe and now I ended up with my toe infected. and she was kind of rough with the other foot as well. I've gone to this nail salon multiple times, every single time multiple nails have fallen off within the first 1-2 weeks doing very simple tasks. They were very aggressive while doing my nails and made me bleed multiple times. They drilled my real nail very short and it burned anytime there was any pressure. I was getting my nails done 10 days ago and I told her that I didn't think she put enough glue multiple times and since then 5 nails have called off doing simple things like putting my shoes on or flicking something.
