I'm a new mom and 2 months postpartum and was looking forward to finally getting my hair cut! I'm unfortunately extremely disappointed in my haircut experience here. I booked with Hannah online and mentioned I have thick long hair and wanted a chop for summer. I've never been to this salon before, but know from past experience it's important to note thick hair while booking. Their online booking system requires the stylist to "okay" the appointment, so someone must have seen the note about thick hair. At other salons, most stylists will see the note and book out an extra 45 mins..or call to reschedule with an additional block of time. This never happened and lead to maybe the worst salon experience I've ever had? Hannah started cutting my hair, and was a quarter way through before she mentioned I'd have to leave with wet hair due to time constraints. I wish she would have been honest and up front and I would have rescheduled or found a new salon for a cut that would include a blow dry + style. She shampooed my hair for less than 4 minutes and everything just felt so rushed! I was expecting to see another client waiting for her but that was not the case. I was in and out of the salon in less than an hour. She gave me her card so I could contact her if the layers dried funny or looked bad...so off I left with wet hair and a potential hack job of a haircut. I don't recommend this place, I got in my car and cried. I expect to leave a salon feeling beautiful and that just didn't happen! read more

She has gotten me out of my comfort zone twice now. I used to have hair to my butt but she cut it and made me comfortable and confident with shorter hair. This salon is amazing! Everyone is super helpful and friendly. I see Gimena for my lashes and brows, and Cris for my hair. Gimena is insanely talented. She knows the best lashes for your eye shape and makes them look so natural. Prior to seeing her, I had a lash tech who overdid my volume and took a generous amount of time. Gimena gets things done in a timely manner and always makes me look gorg! So easy to book with her and we always have the best time at appointments. Cris does my haircuts and highlights and she is such a pro. She is so knowledgeable and helpful everytime I come for my appointment. I have insanely thin hair and have damaged it due to bleaching for years with poor care. She has helped me nurse my hair back to health and made it look better than ever! Everything was going great until my stylist left me sitting with very light bleach in my hair to go dye her coworkers hair. I was left sitting for so long that a good portion of my hair broke off when the foil was removed and clogged the sink. The rest of my highlights were so damaged and fried that they mostly broke off within the first week. My hair is incredibly thin now and since I had such a horrible experience, I figured I should warn people. Although, I was under the impression the lady who got her hair dyed(shoulder length brown hair and the little dog) owned the salon or was a manager. I've never had a hair experience that turned out this horrible, and I used "sun in" all throughout high school. Please don't do that again to another customer. read more

There are a few times you spend money and leave feeling like a million bucks! I love Kendall! She makes me feel like a cracker version (read smaller butt) Beyoncé. She is seriously a magician with hair. I found Kendall about a year ago through a local Facebook group. She saved me after I had a terrible experience, a bad taste in my mouth, and a bad hair day. We chatted over Facebook and I sent her what I wanted, and she confidentially explained she could do it. I hesitantly booked an appointment and she MADE it happen - better than I could have expected. She's amazing and willing to work with you, she has an amazing vision and knows what will work and what won't, and better yet, she makes you feel beautiful. No one touches these locks but Kendall. I am giving the review based on the communication process and not the service. I haven't used any stylist there. I followed their instagram page and it looked like Nicole was the one posting. I searched up their stylists and services and Nicole was the only one who offered free consultation and also mentioned that she works with every budget. So I contacted her. Sent my picture and what I want and I am not sure if she understood what I was looking for but she hit me with a huge price and saying that it takes a while to go blond when I only wanted partial highlights. I told her my budget and she didn't even try to work with me , every single time she kept referring me to someone else. I'm not sure if the price she gave me ($240+ for partial highlights) was because she didn't want to do my hair . But she had no intention of working with my budget, it seemed like she tried to add extra work to my hair. read more

Let's just start by saying I was so nervous to go to a new hair stylist (just moved here) but I am so happy with the services that Katy provided I'll definitely be going back! I was also nervous to go out and get a hair cut during these uncertain times but I did my research and selected a salon that is a big enough space to social distance from other customers and of course had great customer experiences but the salon not only is large enough for that but they have protective barriers between chairs, all employees were wearing masks, customers were wearing masks, they are not over booking so there was only 1-2 other customers in the building at a time, they are taking temperatures before service and encourage hand sanitizing while in the building, We have been so careful and staying home for months now and I'm a pretty paranoid person and overall I felt very comfortable there today, which and that means a lot! Back to the hair! (Wish I had taken a before) I love the color, I love the cut, Katy was fast and translated my bad descriptions in to exactly what I wanted, she was personable, so sweet and her prices are more than fair! read more

I found my new go-to salon close to home! I usually go to Portland to get my annual haircut, there's only ONE hairstylist that I trust there. However, due to COVID-19 and the exponential infection rate in Multnomah county, I opted out and just stay within Vancouver area. I read reviews and called the salons that has acceptable ratings but they were full booked this week! And I'm in dire need to get my hair cut to a bob-cut before my baby girl pulls my hair and scalp along with it. I was so glad Urban Spa had an opening for that day. I got Cris and she's absolutely wonderful. I'm usually awkward with small talk, but Cris just got me talking. She's a very good conversationalist, and gave me a haircut that I thought I could only get from my go-to stylist in Portland. I showed her a photo that I wanted and how I wanted it done, she gave me a plan on what she would do and if I'm okay with it. I ask her pointers on how to get my short hair ready for the day when I got to work at 5:30AM. It was very informative! She didn't try to sell me anything (which is awesome). I totally would recommend this place and get Cris if you can. She's wonderful and knows her craft. read more

Cool place. Loved it Marrisa was terrific. She took a health history prior to my massage asked what issues I was having she may be able to help with. It is very hard for a massage therapist to get me to relax. (And I've had many. ) If everything from space, comfort, table, music etc in Addition to the technique used all come together, it can happen. Needless to say I was so relaxed and comfortable. Very therapeutic. Made a return appointment!! Busy place with a lot going on (which means they do good work) staff was welcoming. Very clean and cool vibe. And they have weekend appts for us M-F work schedule people. Yea!! A lot of spas are M-F 9-5. That doesn't help most working clientele. I will return to try other services since I can get weekend appts. Easy location to get to with good parking. Somethings to note: You can schedule online or call. Wow! What a great spa what a great massage therapist. Been dealing with some neck shoulder back issues for quite some time decided at the last minute to see if I could get a massage with Kelly. When I called she was able to fit me right in the same day no problem. Kelly might be tiny however don't let that fool you. Kelly gave me an amazing deep tissue massage.
