Just found my go to nail spot in Vancouver! I was SO SO SO afraid I wouldn't be able to find one that did gel x nails like back home! Trish did a wonderful job on my gel extensions. If we're being honest though, they weren't worth the $55 plus $1 credit card fee. Gel X costs that much because of the Apres Gel X brand tips that are used to achieve that super thin hyper realistic natural nail look. What I got today was a regular tip with hard gel overlay which should only cost about $40. I may have to bring that to her attention the next time I go in. On to the nail job though! My nails came out super thin and pretty natural. I just wasn't a fan of the tip being glued on with nail glue. Reminded me so much of my old high school acrylic days. I opted for a natural solid color today because I needed the nude look for an upcoming photo shoot but next time I'm bringing in design pictures for sure! Parking was plentiful and appointments are easy to make. I called the day before and was scheduled for the next day. They're closed on Sundays but you can still call to book appointments (although I felt pretty bad doing so when I found out it was her day off! Trish reassured me multiple times that it was okay though!) It was nice and slow on Monday so I had the entire shop to myself, which was really nice! Well, do not think it's a good place for your nails , first of all, for pedicure , the water is just warm even tho I asked for hot. So I soaked my foot with warm water for about 5mins . They use hot stores to massage ur feet , it's comfortable but over priced . Secondly , I asked for cat eye for my nails . I can not even tell the cat eye when it has been finished. The owner told me have to put it under the light , would be able to see it . But with all the years of doing cat eye, this is the first time like this . It should be easy to see the movement. I spent 140 dollars ( 20 dollars tip. ) so total 160. And I am not satisfied. Not just can't tell the cat eye , and it's every dirty , soo many fur sticks on my nail when it gets done . I've been coming to this salon for about 4-5 months to do pedicures. At first I loved there work but the last two times they spend through really quick. During that time, I tried there waxing on lower legs. When I tell you I just threw away money I mean it. The employee didn't have any knowledge about waxing, seemed like her first time. My legs were super irritated and red afterwards for about 2 weeks. I had a lot hair left behind as well as residue from the wax itself. But I still have them a chance and kept coming for other services. Last pedicure I did the nail polish started chipping and pealing off with in 1 1/2 weeks when compared to earlier times they all lasted for at least a month. During that visit I was offered to sign up for "points" with my phone number to earn a 20% off my next Visit. Today I come in and the lady whose usually doing a great job, sped through doing my nails, leaving them chunky. Also, they do the best job at cleaning the nail beds before apply polish, I had to observe and ask the employee to give my cuticles a trim. The overall appointment was 25-30 mins compared to other personnel's at other locations do quality work within 1 1/2 hours. When coming up to cashier register they asked for full payment, and wouldn't except the coupon they offered last time, due to "only on select types of manicure" it was disappointing because I did get a manicure and wasn't warned, nor was it in any fine print below coupon explaining that. The manicure the employee did was not astonishing, my nails do have dents and bubbles left behind sadly. Unfortunately I will not be returning. read more

I made a same day appointment at the end of the evening and then showed up late! My bad! They took me in right away and did not make me feel rushed at all. I had a spa pedicure and my first ever full set with dip. They turned out great and I have received so many compliments, including from people who I trust to tell me if they look bad. I usually have a Pedicure and occasionally a natural nails manicure. I am always greeted by name, and usually offered some refreshment. The results have always been extremely good. On one occasion, I managed to chip the polish on a fairly new pedicure, and when I returned for repair, they welcomed me without an appointment, and did not even charge me for fixing it. Everyone working there seems cordial, and all are very professional. Usually, the music and chatter are nice, and not too loud or disruptive. I enjoy my visits there. read more

I read reviews and decided to come here today with my sister. They had about 4 people working and all were busy, so we were asked to wait about 15-20 min which was fine. They offered us mimosas and eventually sat us down in the massage chair while we soaked our feet and waited for them to finish other customers. At first, the lady working on mine took her time with the cuticle cutting and filing of the nail, etc but everything else seemed rush. My main reason for wanting a pedi was because my feet are calloused. She spent about 15 seconds on each foot with the pumice stone, while she used a cheese grater (does that cost extra?) on another woman's feet. My feet still look and feel rough. I do like the place tho and the chairs are nice and relaxing. The added free mimosas are an extra bonus which is why i give this place 4 stars. Maybe ill give it a shot again with a different lady and maybe ill speak up about my feet needing more care. read more

This was the worst pedicure I've had in a while! The place is cute but my person was way too old. I had gel on and she scraped it off, no remover at all. I am sensitive to the scrub so I chose the #1 classic. She used the scrub anyways with no MASSAGE AT ALL!!! Isn't this what a pedicure is.? My 200 coveted review! I couldn't have selected a more natural selection or deserver of this self implicated honor. The ladies at reflection are amazing. They all enjoy working together and that really adds to the atmosphere. After another failed attempt at the last salon I went to (poor experience) I was so thrilled to see reflections sporting so many 5 stars. And they were literally down the road from where I was eating lunch. I gave them a call and they were able to squeeze me in for a mani pedi when they were slammed (and getting ready for a birthday party). Let me just say these ladies go above and beyond. They offer you a drink, make sure you're comfortable, never make you feel rushed or a burden. They even went out of their way to get the birthday party cupcakes. How sweet is that?! They're incredibly accommodating and sincerely apologetic to the dozen or so phone calls they had to say no to today. Tracy was amazing.
