Don't go here unless you want an expensive gel manicure. I asked for a regular nail polish and after that the service was awful. The polish was really cheap and they don't have any dryers so they tell you to wait an hour for them to dry. My nails peeled off in less than 2days. I was immediately offered something to drink and had a cold water. My pedicure was really deluxe and lasted quite a long time which was nice. I had just moved to Washington about a month ago so I was looking for a new nail salon to go to. It just so happened to be a family members birthday recently & they wanted to get their nails done here as she comes here about every month or so and loves it. I got acrylic nails, but I've had my nails done for just over a week now & my nail has already broken off. I assume the nail wasn't put on correctly or as well as the others because although it just broke off, it was lifting at the base before hand as well (starting about 3 days prior). Aside from that my nail tech did not do a very good paint job either. It felt like no care was put into it, uneven, and very rushed. The lady that did my nails made my nails really bulky, she didn't let the powder get wet all the way so my nails had white spots on them, I kept asking her to file them in making them smaller. I don't think she could comprehend what I was asking for my liking, the color I chose was out of stock so you guys should consider updating your colors. I have been going to Diamond Nails for pedicures and manicures for a year and half or so. The facility is clean and they typically provide a complimentary alcoholic or non alcoholic drink with your session. With COVID, they've stopped serving drinks (though that's probably a good thing - for health reasons). They've done a great job making sure that there are barriers between you and everyone around you. The chairs are super comfy too! Be aware that although they take both card and cash, they really do prefer cash.. they have an ATM that won't charge a fee to withdraw from your debit card, so that's convenient. This is a recent change and (I speculate) due to COVID. I didn't have a particular nail person that I went to until recently.. Normally, I'd request one of the guys to do my pedicures because they are super strong and give the best massages, and Helen, Tina, Khanh and Bobby are great for manicures (they're just a few who have worked on my finger nails - I'm super particular about my nails). A few weeks ago I was super lucky to have Sonya as my nail technician and I'm never going to anyone else! She's amazing! Gives great pedicures and leg massages and she did so great on my manicure for my baby shower! I'm back for round two with Sonya (she worked extra hard getting the swelling out of my pregnant feet and ankles) and am still really happy with her work! Horrible experience. The girl that works the front is lovely but that was the only good part of the experience. My nail tech was rushing through, taking all the short cuts, coughing without her mask on, not friendly, was trying to get my gel manicure done so quickly she didn't notice black fuzz under four nails. I saw it after the first color coat and called it out. After I repeatedly told her it looks terrible and those four fingers should be redone she kept calling people over, and just blamed it on the fact I picked I light color. I left and still have the black fuzzes under layers of gel. Horrible experience. I know there are few good options for nail salons these days but this was exceptionally bad. Salon is dirty and all the furniture is torn, it isn't a clean environment whatsoever. Save your time, money and potentially your health. read more

For being kinda full they got my friend & I in quickly. My friend had acrylic on which they didn't remove completely before putting her gel on & you could definitely see it in a few spots. My nails are probably a 6/10 he definitely didn't pay attention to the smaller details but over all it's only gel and my recovery nails. They don't look awful & will do for a week or two. One word... AMAZING!! Ive been here twice now, each time a walk in, and ive always been sat down right away. This last time my friend and I came 30 minutes before they closed, thinking they might turn us away, but they sat us down as soon as we walked in! They have wonderful color selections and the shellac looks awesome and lasts forever.. never had issues with it chipping. Ive only had manis done here and cant wait to try a pedi! This was one of the worst nail experiences I've had. They kept "burning" and cutting me every time they took the dip off. She filed my nail down so much that it went to my skin. I absolutely love getting my nails done at this location. I came in around a week ago as a walk in customer at night. They greeted me and took care of me right away. I believe you can call in an appointment but they've been so welcoming whenever I do walk-ins. I break my nails all the time at work so I came in with short brittle nails this time around so I ask for tips to make it longer, almond shape, and had dip powder on my nails. My son even picked out the color which is out of my comfort zone (I normally do shades of nudes or light shades of pink). While they worked their magic "FRIENDS" was running on their tv so I got to watch abit while chatting with them. I have been receiving compliments on my nails everyday at work that I have been telling people to head over here. I highly recommend this place. I have before and after photos of my nails. read more

Hate to post this gory post but Diamond Nails ruined my nails. I went in to get my nails done for my birthday and it was just a fill and a fix on one nail I broke off. The finger was already a little sore but I told the tech to be careful so it won't hurt. Well she's grinding away near my cuticles using the wrong file head and it's burning my nails so I had to tell her to be careful. Aside from that she doesn't know how to put on a new tip and cut it so I had to tell her how while another tech helped her.. then she was aggressively filing and I kept telling her to hold my nail so that it doesn't pull so much... she made me file my own nails.. after all this she is using the buffing block and catches it on the nail TWICE and RIPPED UP MY ENTIRE NAIL!!! I'm crying at this point and she's just like oohhh sorry you are okay. I start bleeding on the table and she's looking at it.. she glued the completely separated nail to my nail bed which burns so bad my hand goes numb.. they "discounted" me by not charging for this nail that they "fixed" and now that I was able to take the nail off this is what I'm left with.. I've been reading a lot of negative reviews about this salon and just don't get it. This isn't, nor does to claim to be, a high-end salon; it's a clean, functional, friendly, well-priced shop in Hazel Dell. Those who require rose petals in their manicure bowls, state-of-the-art equipment and modern furnishings will be disappointed. Those who want to talk to their carer as they would a hair stylist will also be disappointed. But those who want a local, fully functional nail (and wax) salon with consistent, quality service will find Diamond Nails to be perfect. Yes, walk-ins may have to wait a bit to be seen. Make an appointment. Yes, sometimes there are delays, and service may take longer than expected. If you're in a hurry, let them know from the beginning. They're great at asking other customers if they wouldn't mind waiting a few extra minutes. If I have time, I take the opportunity to relax and have a drink on the house. If the water in the pedicure spa cools, simply let someone know. They're more than accommodating. I'm wondering if negative reviewers just sat there in frustration or spoke up. I prefer lukewarm water, so this has never been a problem for me, but if it is for you, say something. During a manicure, when the nail clippers come out, if it looks like they'll cut too short or not short enough, point it out. They're your nails. It just takes a moment of observation and communication. Once the technician knows what you want, you can sit back and relax. I've always been asked to confirm length before the first snip and then again for shape. I've always been shown the first nail filed to confirm it's what I had in mind If the nail polish doesn't look quite right, again, ask about it. If they say that the color will darken with the second coat, but you don't think it's as dark as you expected, say something. If you don't want thick nail polish to be thinned with polish remover, choose a different color. Restaurants run out of ingredients all the time, and patrons have to choose to accept the dish with alterations or choose something else. It's how the world works. If a manicure or polish change doesn't last as long as you think it should, call or drop in, and they'll make it right. I've had bi-weekly visits to nail salons for decades now, so I've been to a lot of them, and I think Diamond Nails is an ideal salon. Smile and they'll smile, engage and they'll engage, vocalize perferences and concerns and they'll comply. It's really that simple. I've been to a few other salons when out-of-town since discovering Diamond Nails, and those experiences remind me of why I like it so much. read more

ive been coming here for the past 3 years and never experienced what i experienced today. i did not have an appointment and went in right when they opened. (which has never been a problem in 3 years) Was sat in a chair and waited about 10 minutes untill the tech finished her coffee and started asking about what color i wanted. we figured out the colors and she started. One nail in another lady (which i believe was the manager) comes over and says oh i didnt have an appointment if i could go wait in my car because they have a party of 8 who made appointments and i could come back about an hour later. If you guys knew you had a big appiintment coming in, why start on my nails and leave them like that.I made the drive all the way from portland every 3-4 weeks just because i liked how you guys did them, and took care of my nails. The last two or three times the "new" techs messed up my nails and havent lasted more then 2 weeks. This location of Diamond Nails is your typical Asian-owned nail salon. At $33 for a manicure and pedicure, you can't beat it. Only a few of the girls speak fluent English, the owner does as well. Their licenses do match the person, they are clean and sterile, above board. They meet all the safety issues for salons in the city of Vancouver. The work is okay. The spa pedicure chairs are nice, but the girls can hurt you if you're not proactive about your own care. I've made sure to trim my own nails and do my own cuticles before going for service. You don't always need an appointment, they do walk-in service and you can add changes at the last minute. You can also bring your own brand of polish and top coat. I found my nail place! I got a pedicure by Con, he did an amazing Job! I had a spray tan a week prior and he took the time to get the bottom of my feet clean from the residue of the spray tan. He talked to me and we laughed about how horrible my feet was! Overall the salon was very clean and modern. The staff was very friendly and to top it off they offered adult beverages. Got a pedicure and opted for a more expensive pedicure and the girl next to me received a cheaper pedicure and her nail tech started on her 10 minutes before me and was finished 15 minutes after me.
