My husband and I recently ate here on a date night. It unfortunately was raining, so we did not enjoy the outdoor space, but the view was still lovely. We were seated at a high top by the bar since many of the tables were unavailable. We both enjoyed cocktails and a charcuterie board. The cocktails were delicious (I had the 732 and he had Take my money and Rum - something like that). The charcuterie was plentiful and bonus, had burrata. I enjoyed a lobster roll (cold- the level of mayonnaise and flavor was excellent) and he had a burger. Both were delicious. We were too full for dessert, but will try it next time! read more

I ordered the lobster pasta which cost $46. The lobster was so tough I couldn't chew it. The pasta was cold. On top of that, they put us at the only outdoor table in the place that was directly in the sun. We asked if they had another table in shade, but they said no. Prefacing this review that I went in December (off season) but it was SO good! For appetizers we got a bunch of the fresh seafood - shout out to the crab cups! For my meal I got the Cobb salad (never usually order a salad but it sounded so good) with added blackened shrimp and it did not disappoint. Came here on their dock and dine option and I must say -- very fancy yet chill at the same time! Doggies are allowed on the outside deck areas, combined with a beautiful view of the bay and plenty of room at the large bar area, I can see how this place is a crowd pleaser. For food, I opted for the beet salad with a side of chicken. It was a nice size portion for the price and my mocktail, The Layla, was delightful and refreshing. I would highly recommend going with the ginger beer rather than the lemonade so as not to be too sweet. The service was decent, although they did forget the calamari I ordered at first, but with a little reminder, it came out very quickly. They were also very quick and attentive to accommodate the dogs we had with some water, so that was very nice on their part. For the calamari, I've never had battered/lightly crispy olives and that was definitely a nice surprise, highly recommend that as an appetizer. Looking forward to coming here again, especially since before I left they were setting up for live music, so that's definitely a plus! read more

The Beach Pass tasted like watered-down juice, and the Take My Money, which I think is one of their signature cocktails, was watery and unbalanced. I'd recommend One Willow for both a meal with friends or family as well as to get a drink/apps at the bar since the bar area is quite spacious. Came across their IG page and added it to places I want to try. So Sunday after church we took a drive and decided to give it a try. I'm a little more adventurous than my husband so I didn't know what to expect but wow! As we were walking in someone walking out said if you don't have reservations they won't seat you outside but we went in anyway and they were super friendly and said you can sit in the bar area anywhere you can find a table. In my opinion the bar area was so much nicer anyway. We were right on the water and the views of the ocean and the boats going by were spectacular. They had live acoustic music giving it a vacation vibe. My husband is a picky eater no seafood but the dishes coming out looked amazing. We ordered the chicken sandwiches and they were delicious even the French fries cooked perfectly. The only thing I would say is I wish they had more land lover options. Our server was great too. Customer was blamed. No hospitality to make the situation right until a showdown with the manager. HIGHLANDS: New Jersey is blessed with so many great restaurants, especially in the Bayshore area, and we are blessed that many of them are dog friendly! This includes the gem One Willow, a gorgeous restaurant with an outdoor dining area overlooking the Sandy Hook bay! Leashed dogs are allowed. The ambience and decor of the restaurant with the bay in the background feels like a vacation. You can even see the Seastreak Ferry commuting by! You can eat on the deck for lunch and dinner and their pier seating is only open for dinner and you are truly dining over the water. The food is excellent; we had the crispy fried bravas potatoes, blistered shishito peppers, and the tuna tacos along with a couple of cocktails. The wait staff was super friendly too! They are open all-year-round and plan to keep their outdoor dining open too; call before you go to make sure. They also offer curbside pickup and delivery. This was wrapped that had a local honey drizzled on top with just a little sea salt. So good. :) Main courses... Lobster spaghetti for her while I chose the rigatoni. Both were very good. Portions at this place are a decent size. No leftovers, at least for our gathering. Save room for dessert. If you have a sweet tooth, try the sticky toffee date cake. That was served still very warm. Happy Hour with music and a view. We seated ourselves at a high top overlooking the bay and the bartenders were quick to take our drink orders. With friends we ordered all the HH offerings to share. The dishes were not big but pretty tasty and was just what we needed. We were asked if we wanted another round of drinks before the specials ended. We went here for Easter, making a reservation the day before. We were looking for a restaurant on the water that we haven't already visited. I have to say, it was definitely worth the hour drive. Not only is this place gorgeous (both inside and out), the staff are extremely friendly (from the hostess, to the bartenders, to the wait staff}. We arrived about 30 minutes prior to our reservation and decided to have a drink at the bar. We were greeted by the most friendlist bartenders I've ever met (one of which actually became our server when our table was ready - Hi, Taylor!). Their recommendations were helpful (both for drinks and dinner). I started off with a glass of Prosecco while my bf had one of their specialty drinks (Jersey Surfin). Both were delicious. We were quickly seated at our table. For appetizers, we had snow crab claws, jumbo shrimp and a dozen select oysters. The presentation alone was beautiful. For dinner, I had the tuna in red curry and my bf had the rack of lamb special with a lobster tail on the side. I went a little out of my comfort zone with the tuna selection (I'm usualy a burger girl) and had them cook it medium just to play it safe. I have to say, it was one of the tastiest dishes I've ever eaten. My bf said his rack of lamb was outstanding and he wanted to pick them up and eat off the bone, but this isn't the type of place to do that. For dessert, we both had ice cream and I had a cappucino. Again, everything was delicious. During our meal, Taylor must have informed the chef that this was our first visit, because he came out to introduce himself and ask us how everything was. Additionally, the owner (I believe he's the owner) Jason came over a few times to check on us. His family was also there celebrating Easter. From the staff, to the atmosphere, to the entire vibe of the this place, it felt like I was celebrating Easter with family. Although there was a two-hour table limit, you never felt rushed. The attention to detail (refilling glasses, taking away dirty dishes, etc.) was incredible. We will definitely be making this one of our regular places to eat, especially since Taylor told us about their Happy Hour on Fridays where you can sit out on the deck and just relax and have a drink (or even work remotely, if that's your thing).
