Just had a fabulouse dinner @ Clementeam--consisting of their Zydeco Gumbo as my starter that was followed by tonight's Blackened Mahi=Mahi special. Myfellow dinners enjoyed their Blackened Tuna and Blackened Catfish entrees, as well as their shared Beet, Shrimo & Feta Cheese Salad, Very pleasant server and prompt service. So glad we came back - we had heard that Clementine's had closed but hadn't heard that the staff had actually purchased the facility. we were concerned that the food quality and selection might have gone down a bit - nothing could be further from the truth! We were a little disappointed in the new decor. It is clean and crisp but needs a little pizzaz to emulate the New Orleans vibe that once existed. The food, however, was just terrific. Appetizers consisted of shrimp Michael - sausage and shrimp, sauteed with fresh mushrooms over a bed of rice. Also, we enjoyed an ample selection of fried oysters with a tasty remoulade. Entrees consisted of Shrimp and Tasso Pasta in a delicious cream sauce along with veal (2 diners), Seafood Jambalaya with pasta and a Pork Loin with an orange demi-glaze accompanied by mashed potatoes and corn. Dessert consisted of a shared Oeey Gooey Butter Cake accompanied by coffee. Brenda was our server and she was knowledgeable and extremely attentive. We defintely will return soon. read more

We were customers at Clementines and recently went to Clementeams which was purchased by some of the staff. They have maintained the high standards we were used to. My wife's eggplant dinner was great. She let me try it, and it was fantastic. I had a special for the evening, boneless short ribs, which were very good. The service was excellent. My last review was 8 years ago. We have dined here many times since then and always have been quite happy with food quality and quantity, service, and ambiance. Last evening, we dined here early. Beatrice was our friendly and attentive server. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived at 515 pm, but was practically full by 630 pm and it was a Monday evening. We started with a special salad of golden beets with 6 grilled shrimp, greens, nuts, goat cheese $25. Yummy. Then, for entrees, we ordered from regular menu: Blackened Catfish $32 and Seafood Jambalaya with rice $38. Everything simply delicious and after the big salad we had to take food home. Prices may seem high, but remember that you will be saving a lot because you can BYOB. read more

Everything about this hidden gem is what makes it so special. The employees are like a big family and make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. The decor is cozy and the food is so good. A triple play, which any baseball fan can tell you is a rarity. A combination of ambience, food, and service. A perfectly designed and decorated interior that will whisk you away to a different place in time. A genuinely friendly and informed wait staff eager to please, that you feel have a stake in your happiness and satisfaction. Finally the food, authentic served hot and just the right combination of flavors and ingredients on every dish. From the gumbo to the jambalaya to the blackened catfish, various salads and sides, but save room for dessert. The gooey cake didn't appeal to me on the menu, but when I had a shared bite it exploded in my mouth and I had to order one for myself. I didn't even have a chance to eat my beloved bread pudding. Next time and they'll be plenty of visits I guarantee that. Come here, but make reservations, you won't be disappointed if you love authentic Cajun food. read more

This was our go to place for over a decade, and when we found out the original owners were closing up shop, we were devastated. Amazing food that is really flavorful and has a kick to it. I had really good seafood gumbo, jambalaya and catfish. The atmosphere is unique with different vibes going on. I love it nevertheless. I really enjoy the old timey music. Really brings you back in time. The service was very friendly and attentive. P.S. I meet with new young professional owner and planned a variety of salads and fish appetizers. He offered the entire delicious entree menu and delivered all in a reasonable time. Had a late breakfast here early lunch. The soup was fantastic that we had that day, along with the crab cake Benedict and mediterranean omelet was fantastic. Our friends had avocado toast which they loved and pomkroll egg and cheese on the croissant. We all had soup too and it was outstanding. Sooo....I've had my eye on this restaurant for awhile since moving to the area and was so excited to try their gumbo and etouffee. I ordered take-out and over did it because I wanted food also for the next day since I knew I had no intentions on cooking. Ordered their blackened catfish that sat on a bed of mashed potatoes with sausage & crawfish and two bowls of gumbo. In fact the owner recommended the catfish dish, I love catfish so went with it. Got home and tried the catfish dinner and the only tasty item was the fish itself. The mashed potatoes were dry and extremely tiny pieces of crawfish were included, so small! Made a mental note not to order that again and thought the gumbo would be better. Unfortunately it wasn't and I hate that everything I ordered was subpar. I'm a bit reluctant to try another item at this restaurant so not sure if I'll return. I do have to add that the owner Michael was very nice to me, exact opposite of others' review of him. Maybe I caught him on a good day? He was lovely to me. My only complaint is mediocre dishes I ordered. read more
