Great experience here! Can't wait to visit again! The parking is limited there are a few spots at the front people seem to constantly be coming and going so it wasn't hard to get a parking spot. The ube ice cream and donut were both delicious and the customer service was excellent!

Went for the first time and had the ube and strawberry milk swirl ice cream. Delicious!!! Will have to go back again to get the sundae in the fish!

I come once a year when I'm really craving a taiyaki and happen to be in the area. The soft serve is good, I just wish you could split any of the flavors and not just the ones they set (I understand this is a pipe dream given the setup but ugh!). Example mango and ube would have gone OFF together.

Made a visit to OMG Squee, a gluten-free Asian American Dessert Shop, serving Asian-inspired desserts, pastries, butter mochi donuts, taiyaki soft serve, and more made in-house, from scratch. I was craving Ube and might have gone a bit overboard on ordering dessert because they had so many Ube options. The building is colorful and decorated in bright pink with fun artwork and decor for an uplifting vibe. The line moved quickly and the service was friendly fast and efficient. I was able to place my order and pay with Apple Pay. I ordered the Taiyaki Sundae with black sesame and ube swirl soft serve served in a fish shaped mochi Belgian style waffle with Oreo dust on top. You can customize your sundae with filling like organic red sweet beans, Nutella or custard and toppings like Oreo dust, fruity pebbles or rainbow sprinkles. I ate this on site and the nutty black sesame balanced the sweet ube perfectly, and the Oreo topping added the best crunch. They had a variety of mochi donut flavors. Lucky for me, nothing was sold out today. I ordered the Oreo ube mochi donut and ube milk tea to-go. I ate the mochi donut later that day and it was probably my least favorite item from my order. It had the chewy mochi texture however I didn't get enough of the rich ube flavor. It had somewhat of a bitter aftertaste and the Oreo overpowered the ube. I drank the ube milk tea the next day and it was creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the flavor profile of the beverage and would order it again. Overall, enjoyed my selections and will be back to try more dessert options and flavors from one of the most unique Asian dessert spots in Austin!

Came here for a sweat treat before heading to the airport! It's in an interesting spot, but there's a good amount of parking and outdoor seating (although the outdoor covered seating area by the entrance is a bit unpleasant....there was a smell?). Either way, this is a cute place with so many fun options and flavors! The matcha latte was good and perfect sweetness. The mochi donuts have good texture and the black sesame flavor was great! If I'm in the area again, I'll come back to try the other flavors!

I've wanted to check this place out ever since I saw it on queer eye a few years back, and it didn't disappoint! We visited during their lunar new year/6th anniversary party so it was quite busy, but we expected as much on a Saturday party day. My taiyaki sundae was tasty and exactly what I needed on a hot Austin afternoon. I love that you can swirl the flavors and choose a filling and topping to get a custom creation. Seating is very limited to their outdoor pseudo-enclosed front porch, but we ended up eating out sundaes while checking out the vendors outside. This place is so cute! I'll definitely be back.

I have been a fan of OMG Squee since seeing the Queer Eye episode in which Sarah is featured! Living in NH I was unable to sample the wares from her bakery. But then my husband and I decided to visit Austin in February 2026! I am so Excited! I bought so many different goodies, a sticker, a few t-shirts, and a waffle mix! Omg everything was so good! The place is adorable, clean, and so well stocked! Everyone is so friendly, and once I finally decided which milk tea and goodies I wanted they quickly filled my order! There is a lot of seating on the outside of the building as well as in the front porch area- sheltered from the weather. I wish we lived closer so I could go there weekly!!

I wish we could come here all the time. We come to OMG Squee 3-4 times a year since it's a hike from where we live. We came today for the mooncakes, and I'm so glad we didn't wait any longer to get these, because they're divine! So beautifully done. So many beautiful details, and you can tell the care they put into each cake. The mooncakes aren't too sweet, they are soft, they are delicious, and they are worth every penny! We also got my kiddo a taiyaki with Nutella, miso caramel soft serve, and Oreo (GF) dust. Perfection in every single bite. Every time, their taiyaki fills my gluten free heart with joy. It looks like they're in the middle of some renovations, and it shows! Small changes so far, but it looks like more is to come! Staff is always kind, and each time we're here we are quickly reminded why we love OMG Squee! Thank you for everything!

Started following their IG for a bit. Headed up to Austin for the weekend. Cute little spot. So much to choose from. Rotating donut and macaron selections that are posted every 2 weeks. If you like butter mochi and macarons this is the place to go. GF as well. Staff was friendly. We ended up there twice.

First of all, the shop was so cute and pink. And second of all, the donuts are soooooo cute!! I've never heard of "butter mochi" donuts before, only ever having regular Asian mochi donuts so this was definitely new and diff!! The texture was more pastry-doughy than the Asian ones. It wasn't overly sweet either. I couldn't really taste the Thai tea in mine unfortunately.. but it was cute! I'd love to try tbe taiyaki ice cream next time :)

    baoni L.

We got the banana milk taiyaki and the ube and earl grey soft serve. Both are good. Wish the taiyaki has a bit more red bean inside as it's pretty empty. Outdoors has some seating. Will be back to try other flavors.

OMG -- I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. We've been coming here for over five years, and they are consistently outstanding. Their mochi donuts are always delicious, perfectly chewy, and absolutely addictive. This has become our go-to "special treat" spot anytime we're near the airport or want to bring something fun and unique to visiting guests. And the best part? Everything is gluten-free, which makes it a true crowd-pleaser even for the pickiest eaters. OMG Squee is one of those rare places that delivers every single time. If you want a treat that's memorable, playful, and reliably delicious, this is it.

OMG squee can really be a hit or a miss for me. For those who have never been this dessert shop changes their donut and ice cream flavors every two weeks. Some weeks are good, others not so much. Unfortunately this time was one of those not so good weeks. The owner is doing an adventure time themed set with four different character donuts and four inspired flavors. The only flavors that I liked were Lady lumps( the pink and green donut that is matcha, lemon, and lavender flavored), Rock N Roll Vamp( gray donut with red and Black sesame and raspberry flavored. Please bring this back), and unacceptably Lemon( the yellow donut with white cream which is a lemon sour cream cake flavor). The Chilli & buttered(blue and yellow) was a blueberry sweet corn with blue brown buttered glaze and tasted ok but the blueberry pieces baked into the donut gave it a weird texture. The adventure boy(white character donut black & white chocolate choc chip + cream cheese flavor) was kind of bland and a little underwhelming. The magic boy( yellow character donut maple bacon pancake flavored) had a very light maple flavor just tasted more like frosting on a mochi donut. The Gum queen( pink character donut which was bubblegum flavored) wasn't bad but after two or three bites it tasted like pepto bismol. Finally the A.I bestie( blue character donut that is tropical dreamsicle flavor) was a little too artificial tasting for me. Overall it's still a pretty good spot and the boba is good, this cycle was just a wash for me. Also keep in mind that there is not a lot of parking so you may need to park a little further out.

It was either too busy or just out of the way for me. At my girlfriend's request, she wanted De Nada. We got De Nada. With no reservations and no plans on a mid-Saturday, we were understandably banished to the outdoor tables. It was a hot day, but with the fan blowing and the cold drinks flowing, I thought we'd be alright. We scanned their QR code menu and got our drinks ordered. Me with a Modelo Negra, and my girlfriend with their Beso De Sandia frozen, with Mezcal, Chamoy, watermelon, and lime. We also ordered chips with Queso Blanco and Salsa Verde with our drinks. The queso was brought to us within the minute we ordered. No joke. It was efficient. Capital F fast. With our drinks eventually brought out, we were honestly chilling. My girlfriend previously had a vegan enchilada she really liked that they didn't have this time, so she went for a Camote taco. I went for their Pollo and their Barbacoa. While we waited, we were putting in active work on that queso, which we knew we would feel later. The tacos came out very quickly too. On my Pollo was confit chicken, poblano peppers, cheese, cilantro, and onions. I was hungry at this point of the day, so it wasn't long before I destroyed it. The Barbacoa had beef, habanero salsa, cilantro, and pickled onions. It was also an excellent pick. On both, the blue corn tortillas were thick, added a touch of sweetness, and just made the experience a little more fun. In seeing the pink menus, the overall aesthetic of De Nada, hearing the talk of the town, and just knowing the run around here, I didn't expect De Nada to have cheap tacos. $5.50 for the chicken taco is a little hard to justify, and $7.75 for barbacoa is intense, but everything hit the spot, and we rolled out spending about $50 plus tip between the two of us, so it wasn't anything too out of the ordinary for a lunch. I just do think going in with the expectation that it's those Austin prices, you'll be less shocked down the stretch, and if you're less shocked, you can actually enjoy the great food they throw down here. My beautiful girlfriend, traveling home from Vancouver, had a morning layover in Austin just recently on a weekday, and I got us a reservation to Paperboy East. Compared to the weekends, their schedule was a lot more open. On the weekends it can be nearly impossible to get a spot unless it's a few weeks in advance. We had a reservation at 8 am right when they opened, and when we walked in, we were seated immediately. The place looks like a modern twist on the old-school diners your grandparents love. There's also an upstairs and downstairs patio. Plenty of space! We were sat at one of the two-person tables. To start, I ordered their house drip coffee while my girlfriend got their "Lil Remi," an iced cappuccino with salted caramel. The black coffee was excellent and flavorful, while my girlfriend thought her Lil Remi was like a milkier shaken espresso that she really liked. From their starters, we ordered their Blueberry Lemon Pop Tart to share. I am a sucker for a homemade Pop Tart, and the jam on the inside was extremely fresh, and the icing and crust of the Pop Tart itself was sturdy and full of flavor. For our entrees, I ordered their Texas Hash with added avocado while my girlfriend ordered their famous Paperboy Pancake with chocolate chips as a full breakfast with bacon and two over-hard eggs. It wasn't a long wait at all to get our food. The Texas hash looked great and was presented quite nicely, which is a shame because I immediately proceeded to mash it all together to make sure every bite had a perfect balance of the roasted pork, sweet potatoes, egg, and avocado. It was very filling and substantial, which is great because I needed it to last me up to dinner. The pancake is the star of the show and is worth the order alone. The flying saucer they serve rises like a cake in the oven and is extremely fluffy. She was surprised with how it was a traditional pancake but loved how moist it was for its size. A perfect pancake to her. A perfect pancake to me because she couldn't finish it, so I took it to go and ate the last few bites immediately after dropping her off at the airport. For being an upscale diner in the prime area of Austin, I knew Paperboy was going to be pricey, but I honestly thought that it would crack $100 before tip between the two of us. I was very happy to see it was not even close to that and cost us about $80 with tip. To me, that felt fair for Austin, and I would pay that price any day of the week for a breakfast like we had. I've had a few of the locally owned brunch and breakfast spots in Austin and concur with the masses that this sits strongly at the top of the list. Best pancakes, best atmosphere, and the best times. Canje has taken away my breath. No, literally! I was so full of their delicious food that I felt like I couldn't take another bite. I was filled to the brim with GREATNESS! First, let's break down the staff -- absolutely amazing! The staff was well-versed on the menu items, making you, the customer, feel seen and making recommendations only after they asked if you had allergies of any kind. The appetizer I picked was the Beef Patties, which melted in my mouth before I could even begin to chew. Bite after bite, the buttery crust was the first layer, then next, the beef vanishing as it melted away in my mouth. The Main Attraction was the Fish Rundown, a perfect Jamaican cuisine that I chose to pair with a Guyanese Roti, which took my plate to another level! Have you ever had plantain dumplings? Cause I sure hadn't... This was pure perfection, especially with the kale and coconut flavors that rolled around my palate with every bite. Secondly - West Indian (Wagyu) Beef Curry -- MYYYYYYY GGGAAAWWWDDDDDDD! The flavors were so enticing, and I'm not even a chickpea person, but THIS right here! The way the beef and chickpeas fused together with all those flavors was everything. It all just melted in my mouth from the very first spoonful! Needless to say- if you are from Austin- you are missing out!!!! If you are from anywhere else , 100/10 an ABSOLUTE MUST.
