Visited for the Soft Opening! And yes it gets pretty hectic on the weekend but for a really good reason! Yes! Omeli Kitchen offers a very good variety of Vietnamese and Peruvian dishes and we love the fusion of food and cultures! What we got: 1. Fried Calamari- perfectly fried calamari rings- the perfect combination of chewy and crispy with the sweet and sour dip! 2. Omeli spicy wontons- very much highly recommended and we agree this little wontons of perfection are to die for! 3. Lomo Saltado- This was really good! The quality of the meat was really good being American Wagyu. The meat was so easy to eat and combined with the sauce, fries and vegetables makes it the perfect meal, we got rice than the noodles but will need to go back and try it with the garlic noodles next time! 4. Combination Pho- a pretty good serving of the pho, can be enjoyed by 2 people! Opt d for the combination meat and got a taste of the brisket, meatball and rib eye all great quality. 5. For drinks we got a Strawberry Lemonade and Pacific Ocean both colorful and surely the kids enjoyed! They do have a good variety of drinks, juices, tea and coffees! read more

Great dining atmosphere and high quality Vietnamese and Peruvian fusion food! Came in on a Friday night and it was a bit full. After a short wait, we were seated in the causal yet comfortable dining room. We ordered two specialty drinks, Tra Le Chi and Guanabana Fruit Tea, both rich in fruity and tea flavors but not too sweet. We were craving for some authentic pho so we ordered the pho short ribs which came with two giant short ribs in the bowl, very juicy and tender! The garlic noodles with tiger prawn was also a surprise. As a garlic and seafood lover this is a must-order dish, the garlicky noodles were cooked to perfection with 6 large prawns. The signature dish, Lomo Saltado, came with juicy, bite-sized beef chucks with rice and fries, super delicious and filling. Last but not least, the shrimp spring rolls are classic pho appetizers, very fresh shrimp and mint leaves wrapped in rice paper. A very satisfying meal and full of flavors. If you are looking for a decent sit down restaurant style restaurant, this is not it. Ambiance is very nice and elegant, however with how close you are to the tables around you, it's hard to focus on your own conversations, when you can hear everyone around you. Service is super quick as well and quality of food showed. Don't expect them to accommodate to an order. Everything they have is pre-cooked, and then reheated. We got our food within 5 minutes of ordering. Flavor wise the food wise nice but packed with onion, the protein is super chewy because of it (we had shrimp and a beef short rib). definitely not worth the price of quality and service: 2 entrées, 1 pho and 1 plate, plus a small can of soda for $45. read more

100% underwhelming. It was so basic like if I watch a YouTube video and then made it myself. The calamari was sizable but it completely unseasoned. Like if you asked me what it was seasoned with, the answer would be batter and nothing else, even though it was supposed to be salted. The only good thing about the prawn garlic noodles was the prawns. Those were good but the "sausage" it came with looked and tasted like it was Oscar Meyer that is served at a baseball park. The noodles wasn't a standout and felt store bought. The "garlic" didn't come through in the slightest. Of all the garlic noodles I've eaten, this ranks towards or at the bottom. We actually were talking about getting a real meal after this. Just so disappointing. UPDATE TO OWNER: When I said store bought, I meant it was poor quality whether it was made or bought. My girlfriend and I came here and I'm so glad we did. They were 80% full and we got seated right away. Service was quick. They were attentive and friendly. The food was amazing! We had the loma saltado, oxtail fried rice, and spicy cucumber appetizer. All of the food was on point and so delicious. It definitely hit the spot. The ambience was lively. It felt upbeat and no annoying loud music in the background. My friend and I could catch up and talk easily, not having to yell over the music. I will be coming back! Definitely recommend this place. First time here & safe to say this place is a hole in the wall! The pho was very flavorful and the ribeye was juicy. The lychee peach iced tea was amazing and flavorful and they add lychee fruit on top. The garlic noodles were very delicious and just the right amount of garlic! I was obsessed with the Macaroni Filet Mignon Beef!! The beef was soo tender and the texture of the macaroni was perfectIt's like a Peruvian lomo sal tado with a vietnamese twist. It was an interesting combination! I also liked the fried wontons. The shrimp inside was plump. The pho was delicious too, the beef was soft and the soup was tasty! The service is great! The food was not very good. They brought everything out very quickly, which usually means they just heated it up before it came out. We got the garlic salt calamari, spicy wonton, lomo saltado, brisket pho, and kimchi fried rice. The only thing that was decent was the pho but the broth was a bit too sweet, it lacked the rich beef flavor. The lomo soltado and kimchi fried rice lacked flavor. The spicy wonton seemed more like a beef wonton soup. The calamari was the freshest of all but it lacked a garlic flavor. Only thing I liked about this restaurant was the service and cleanliness, I wouldn't come here for the food. read more

Friendly environment Great service I visited this restaurant twice and both times I received the same friendly welcome from the staff. Food is was good. Garlic Noodle (beef) I would say this was my favorite. Garlicky and good! Lomo Saltado.... nothing spectacular in my opinion but still good! I didn't care much for their Thai ice tea, too bland and not strong enough. Deducting one star because I felt the service was too slow. We wait very long to get refills of water...asked few times for check. The staff was very friendly just not attentive. I would definitely be back to give other dishes try. read more

Ordered the garlic noodles with rib eye. The steak was about a quarter inch thick. So the meat was overcooked. The garlic noodles weren't very garlicky. My sister had the lomo saltado. She liked her dish and drink. Service was as good as it could be with just one server. read more

Updated review Came back here after rolling through the plaza and I didn't see a crazy long line out the door, as i usually do. I tried their Pho this time and i was pleasantly surprised! Usually these fusion places have lousy Pho- but These guys got it right. The pho broth was excellent and clean tasting. For these clowns talking about how the broth here is " bland ", I have news for you- THIS is how pho tastes when you don't use MSG! The taste of food isn't supposed right linger on your palette for hours after dining. No surprise though, the average Asian diner believes everything should be coated in that horrible food additive. Not this place. I'll be back to try other items soon. read more

Food was great this review is solely based on their customer service which was very obviously lacking. Wasn't even that much people in the restaurant and not one server came in to check on us? Literally had to call out to them just to ask for something. Then when we did the lady just rudely placed it on the table not acknowledging us saying "thank you" or anything. Our server looked like he didn't wanna be there (dude with glasses). No type of emotion or welcoming when taking our order and it was painfully awkward. Located right in the corner of a shopping center next to the 99ct store. Cute place with nice decor inside. The wontons were pretty good I also liked the garlic noodles with tiger prawn. But my faves were the Nui Xao Bo and the Pho- they were both sooo flavorful. The broth from the pho and the beef in the noodle dish were amazing. Definitely have to try those dishes if you eat beef. The calamari was a good appetizer I liked that they add slices of fresh jalapeño. My son barely let me try any of the Thai tea so I'm assuming it was good too. I have to try some of their other drinks when I go back. Service was attentive even though place was pretty busy they were on top of it. read more

The food here was amazing! Highly recommend the loma saltado, filet mignon macaroni and rib eye garlic noodles! Each dish was packed with flavor and wasn't too not overpowering. The aji sauce has a kick, but pairs well with the french fries and rib eye. As for the drinks, we ordered the taro coffee which was quite creamy and the lychee peach iced tea was really refreshing. read more

Overall this place is good but a little pricey honestly. I don't live down the street so I did drive to try this place but honestly for how much our bill was I wouldn't go back sorry. Has the spicy wonton, crispy pork spring roll, ribeye steak with garlic noodles and oxtail fried rice. Good food just a little expensive. Came because they are the closest Peruvian Restaurant to my house. This place is so cute inside. I love the vibe. The combo of Vietnamese and Peruvian food was weird, but I like both and didn't care. The fried rice is strong in flavor but not too salty. It's similar to what you might get from a teppanyaki restaurant. The chicken was also good, but I felt that the rice had much more flavor. But as it was it had an okay vibe to it, like you're eating at your local spot that the tourists and gawkers haven't caught up with. I think it's a prime candidate for just bringing a book to allow time for your food to digest after. I think this spot will be a new addition to the local eat rotation, especially after the Fullerton Central Library meet-ups.

Which was so large I thought it was a bell pepper! A mix of shrimp, scallop, squid, mussel & white fish. It's still a fav. Tallarin mariscos- pasta with mixed seafood in a soy sauce based sauce. Off menu and still very good. Lomo saltado- hubby ordered this. Said it was good as usual. Unsure about other comments regarding toughness of meats. Decor has changed a bit. Half wall divides length of restaurant. Possibly to create a sense of intimacy in this one large room. We will still come back. Not for nostalgia but because we still enjoy the food here. There's a possibility previous reviewers have a misconception about restaurant life. Not sure they've notice the price of groceries in general have increased. Most entrees $20 +. Similar to other restaurants. Gone are the days of $12-15 entrees. Realistically need to consider prices of gas too. Cuz foods arrive in trucks. The seafood was rubbery, overcooked, and definitely not worth the ridiculous price. I've had better seafood for a fraction of the cost. If you're planning to go, I'd suggest getting there early, hitting the off hours, or hopping on the waitlist online. For this visit, I went with one of my go-to pho orders, the Pho Short Ribs. It did not disappoint. The broth was super flavorful and aromatic, and the rib meat was incredibly tender. It was falling off the bone! They also offer unlimited noodle refills, though honestly, the portion of noodles was already pretty filling. But, it's a great thing to know if you're extra hungry and want more. I did try a bit of some other dishes, but I thought they were just okay. I tried a bit of the Lomo Saltado, and while it was fine, it wasn't as delicious as the pho. The flavors weren't as strong as I expected, so I wasn't as impressed with that dish. I really liked the overall vibe of the place. I was so impressed with my first visit to Omeli Kitchen a few months ago that I knew I had to come back and explore more of their menu! This time around, I tried the Lobster Garlic Noodles. This dish featured tossed lobster with Omeli's house sauce, red onion, bell pepper, jalapeño, and green onion. The garlic flavor was spot on, and the noodles were perfectly soft and flavorful. I also got the Crispy Chicken Wings during this visit. They came out fresh and hot, with a super crispy texture and a punch of garlic, thanks to the special house sauce. These wings were definitely a winner! Of course, I couldn't resist getting the Pho Short Rib again. The tender short rib and that comforting, flavorful broth never disappoint. It's one of those dishes I could enjoy any day, and I was so happy to see it's still as delicious as the first time I tried it. You guys, this place is solid! I am super picky about Vietnamese food and I'm always saying there are no good Vietnamese restaurants in North Orange County. A client of mine recommended Omeli so I decided to give it a try. My go to dish is always vermicelli noodles with pork and egg rolls. And to be honest I always get headaches after I eat Vietnamese food. Not sure if it's from the fish sauce or MSG. But I took one bite of the pork and OMG the flavors were outstanding. Then everything mixed together was just delicious. And no headache. I also tried their guanabana green tea and that was delicious too! I've never had that before and it was perfect sweetness and not as tart as you would think. I would definitely get those two items again. If I hadn't wanted to try anything else, I could have eaten the entire plate of lobster garlic noodles since I was that fond of them. The tiny lobster chunks had a nice coating of flavor and were crunchy. The noodles retained the taste of garlic well, and they were chewy as well. There was also wonderful beef fried rice in a shake. The steak was tasty even if it was a little rough, and the rice was fluffy and well-seasoned. Since I could have probably cleaned that one myself, I told myself to quit eating it as well. Although I heard that the macaroni filet mignon was a must-order, I only found it to be mediocre at best. The noodles were a little floppy and overdone. Having said that, the meal had a fantastic flavor. We also shared some tofu spring rolls, which were delicious in and of themselves, but the accompanying peanut sauce seemed a little too sweet for my taste. Last night, my friend and I had the pleasure of dining at this delightful Vietnamese restaurant, and it was an experience worth sharing. I ordered the Shaken Beef Garlic Noodles, and let me tell you, it was a dish to remember! The portion was generous. As for the beef, it was tender and cooked to perfection. My friend opted for the Fried Rice, and he was equally impressed. But what really elevated our dining experience was the service. Our server was friendly. She recommended the dishes we ended up ordering, and it's safe to say their suggestions were spot-on. It's rare to find a place where both the food and service are outstanding. In conclusion, I'm giving this restaurant a well-deserved 5 stars for both the incredible food and the excellent service. This spot in Fullerton has quickly become my new favorite. Despite my initial skepticism about fusion, the blend of Vietnamese and Peruvian cuisines here is exceptional. The menu is well-designed and easy to navigate, mostly in English, signaling a unique twist on traditional Vietnamese fare. The attentive young staff keeps things running smoothly, and the food is outstanding. We tried both oxtail and chicken pho, and both had clean, flavorful broths. The portion size left me a bit indifferent, but the overall quality compensated for it. The iced teas were a highlight--flavorful and well-balanced. The owner, possibly a manager, was actively involved, even bringing out food for regular guests. Seen this spot popping up lately and decided to stop by on my birthday this past Sunday with the family. I ordered the Pho combo. I have to say it wasn't my favorite. The water from the noddles watered down the broth so much it lost the flavor I was looking for. I also ordered the garlic noodles and steak... it was lacking a lot of flavor also in my opinion. Wifey got the oxtail pho.. her words were, "I wouldn't order it again." Over all the food was lacking a lot of flavor. Service was fast and attentive. Restaurant felt clean and tidy. Atmosphere was good as well. It is a pricey location also. I spent $200 on 3 adults and 3 children under 10 and was charged a large party gratuity fee. Anyways, want worth it in my humble opinion. The estimate said something like 100 minutes... also no. Half the tables were empty and it looks like there were only 2 people working. The promo actually says dine in AND pickup so I'm not sure if they're busy because of the togo orders because there weren't that many people in the actual restaurant vs the crowd waiting. Like every other table was empty they definitely could've sat people. Oh they didn't have enough workers? WHY NOT! Why wouldn't you staff more people when you heavily marketed this weekend as a discount weekend and therefore should be expecting more people. After the first hour we gave up and ate elsewhere but just for your reference, we only moved up to the 40s by the first hour. And then THREE hours later (5 pm) we remembered like omg we forgot to exit the waitlist huh...but then also realized that we never got a text saying table is ready so we must not be close yet. 3 hours later we were #10 in line. Side note: At the 1 hour mark we asked if we could order togo and they said no, you would have to still wait for your turn on the waitlist (aka to be seated) to order togo. That doesn't make sense because there's SO many people waiting and this list is barely moving (togo or not) so then why is your focus on the outside/3rd party/delivery apps because those must be the orders that you're fulfilling. Poorly managed but to the extent where you wonder if it's intentional, like they wanted the crowd and the hype but didn't really want that many people getting the 50% off deal. It's almost like they wanted you to give up and pay DoorDash full pricing instead (because you're already there) and those delivery orders are the ones you see actually getting prepared vs the people sitting inside. Also, it's not like the people seated were taking forever to eat ok. I want to say people were eating at a normal place no one was camping out wasting time (or at least from what I could tell) but it just took long for the food to get brought out and not all the tables were occupied. So you have empty tables and seated tables with no food. If you're so concerned about the kitchen getting backed up there's definitely ways to stagger seating and not just keep the place empty. It's just a combination of lots of people waiting, lots of empty tables, people sitting at tables aren't getting their food that quickly, focus on togo orders and for the waitlist to be getting cleared at SNAIL SPEED where 3 hours and you're still not seated ... just ridiculous all around.

I'm visiting from Sacramento and will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
