This restaurant is located inside the Renaissance hotel. We ate here for breakfast on our departure day. The restaurant is clean and modern. They offer a buffet for $29 (May 2026) or you can order from the menu. I thought the menu prices were quite reasonable for a Marriott brand hotel. We ordered from the menu. I had the Western omelette and it was very good. It came with cheese and ham inside and both were good quality. The eggs were well cooked. The potatoes and English muffin were both good too. An enjoyable breakfast. The wife had waffles and really enjoyed them. The waffles were light and fluffy. The kid had pancakes with chocolate chips, which came with a side of bacon. She ate almost everything. Our server, whose name I neglected to get, was attentive and efficient. Overall, the food was good, the service was good, and the ambience was good. Great hotel restaurant with good menu and decent prices. Bright and warm environment that lends well to breakfast which was what I had. I was sat quickly by the hostess and greeted by my server. A varied breakfast menu with an additional brunch menu that includes all the favorites. Chicken and waffles, Benedicts, omelettes, sandwiches, bowls, biscuits and gravy, etc etc. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette. It comes with pan roasted potatoes and toast. It was perfectly cooked and quite tasty. The coffee was good. Hot. But, could have been just a bit stronger for my taste. Overall, my expectations were exceeded and I had a fabulous experience. Would highly recommend this place and would return again for sure. read more

Part of the reason I stayed at the Renaissance was historically every other Renaissance I've stayed at has a great restaurant and that is something I have come to appreciate whist on the road. This was not the case.... menu was limited and food was par. Service wasn't great either. Luckily there are several other restaurants in walking distance. read more

Ruined our experience at Thanksgiving. The worst buffet this year. Empty plates with crumbs at dessert table with no desserts. Almost no traditional Thanksgiving food. The food was salty and hot dishes were cold. Overpriced. Servers had a bad attitude. Poor service added to the unpleasantness. Don't recommend. They used to be good but they've gone downhill. OMA is a great hotel restaurant in the Renaissance near Legacy West. When you're staying at a hotel surrounded by so many restaurant choices, your first pick wouldn't usually be one in the hotel itself. But if you do decide to stay in, you won't be disappointed. This restaurant has a full menu-not a short list of offerings that some other hotel-housed restaurants shyly admit to. And the options are good! I enjoyed the American breakfast today-scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. I would have preferred the eggs to have been cooked a little longer, but everything else was great. Most of all, I love the decor. The place has a very cool vibe to it and makes me forget that I'm in yet another hotel lobby. Thank you for that! A nice finishing touch was to be acknowledged by name on our way out by the host. I'm sure he was able to snag a glance at the credit card and took mental note of our name. I had the opportunity to try OMA for lunch mid week with a large group. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside and they have similar decor to the that of the Renaissance. The restaurant was fairly empty so service was spot on throughout our meal. Our waitress did an outstanding job of servicing our table and keeping our drinks full. I started my meal with the little gem salad. The salad was delicious and well dressed. The portion size was a bit small for the price so I don't think this salad alone would be a filling meal. For my entree I had the steak & frites with napa stir fried vegetables instead of the crispy fries. The presentation of the plate was not very appetizing. The steak was cooked well but it lacked flavor and had too much fat. The vegetables had good flavor but the portion size was small and it looked messy on the plate. For dessert I had the berry cheesecake. The cheesecake had a good flavor but once again the portion size is very small. For a $9 dessert it left much to be desired. Overall the experience was not a good one. The service was top notch but the food did not deliver. I think everyone in my party was expecting more from our meals. I would recommend taking a short walk to the number of restaurants surrounding the Renaissance instead of eating here. read more

Saturday June 15, 2024 brunch buffet. I wish I had gotten our servers name but I simply forgot to bc of the trauma I was experiencing bc of her. The long haired brunette Caucasian server with the handkerchief holding her hair back. Simply an awful human being who has no business working there or anywhere without more training. Our entire experience at the hotel and the restaurant which was going perfectly by the way, was ruined by this one person. So unnecessarily rude and I honestly don't understand why we were treated so horribly by her. Thankfully, our next server (we requested that she no longer serve us), the shift manager and the gentleman working the omelette station handled the situation very well moving forward... but we left having our tail end of our first trip to Texas ruined by her. read more

Had a chance to check out OMA while I was staying at the Renaissance. OMA is their signature restaurant and it's amazing! The food is very unique and in keeping with the hotel combines the east/west feel with the cuisine. The staff, general manager and chef are all very friendly. We had dinner on a Friday night and it wasn't busy at all so we had a chance to chat with the chef. Always unique to see a hotel have a restaurant that doesn't feel like it's just there to serve breakfast (which they do as well) EXCELLENT food - the onion soup is incredibly unique and tasty, the chef was serving lobster & mushroom gnocchi that night (DELISH) and we also had traditional beef brisket. I was tempted not to dine here for dinner because no one was at the restaurant. NO ONE. Just the server and the cook. I really didn't want to leave the hotel so I decide to give them a try. I had the shrimp and grits entree and it was delicious. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned and cooked and the grits had the right texture for me. More of a solid that loose liquid. First off, the food here was amazing. The kitchen staff seemed to be on the top of their game. My husband got the best eggs Benedict he's ever had. Plus, the locations was ideal as we were staying in the hotel. Our waitress was terrible. We got our food before any drink we ordered, even water. The hostess turned into our waitress because we had to keep asking her for things that our waitress kept forgetting. Pretty decent Asian-fusion restaurant nestled within the Rennaissance at Legacy Place. It's a convenient and surprisingly good option if you don't feel like venturing out (though it's hard not to as there are so many good options in the area) - which is the way we felt on this Tuesday evening, having just flown in and arriving tired and hungry. A restorative glass of wine before the meal helped a lot; as did the appetizing appetizers on offer. My colleague and I shared an order of the "pork belly bites" - fatty little cubes glazed with a sweet balsamic sauce - and the seared foie gras bao - a lusciously soft piece of decadence enfolded in steamed chinese bun dough. I followed with a main course of seared scallops which were big (in TX, even the scallops are larger-than-life!) and juicy and flavorful, as good as any I've had on the East Coast. For dessert I went with a peach and blueberry cobbler, which was fine, though a touch too sweet for my palate; my colleague had their cheese plate which comprised of 3 local cheeses - but in our collective opinion, the cheeses were somewhat bland and unremarkable. I ate breakfast here twice while on business travel. The service was outstanding both times. Everyone from the hostess to the waiters and waitresses and even the chef greeted me, ensured throughout my meal I was happy and served up phenomenal food. The West breakfast bowl was literally one of the best skillet type meals I think I've ever had. I had the lox and bagel on a different day and it was outstanding too. They even gave me a free sample of a kelp raspberry smoothie to see what I thought of it and that was absolutely delicious as well. If you are staying in or near the hotel, I would recommend at least trying it once. read more

So glad they serve breakfast late... came down from my room starving and was greeted promptly and served expeditiously. The food was great. I had a simple 2 eggs breakfast with chicken apple jalepeno sausage (pork casing, so I gave it away) and fingerling potatoes. The assistant manager welcomed us to the restaurant and took our feedback. The waitress was attentive and responsive. Ambiance was cool considering we had to take a conference call that lasted almost an hour after we finished eating. read more

We recently had our annual Christmas party here. There were 15 ppl in our party and we reserved the private dining room. They recommended that we preorder appetizers and bottles of wine which was a brilliant idea as it really helped the pace of our party move along. Awilda and Jayson did an excellent job providing us with courteous service and delicious dishes! A great time was had by all and we plan to come back next year! What a stark contrast to the Toulouse imbroglio last year (see my review on that). The only Legacy West restaurants we will now consider having our party at are Bulla and Oma. read more

This restaurant is inside the Rennasaince Hotel. The service is excellent and this rating is for food alone. It is lack luster. Their Korean entrees are quite fatty. The sandwhiches are good except for the brisket which was very fatty, they should have a balance between the lean and fatty portion of the brisket. The bread was also very greasy and they were not careful when they plated the food because the bread had finger marks and was flat. If you add the cheese to this, it becomes a fat bomb. No other condiments were added such as onion or pickles to the sandwhich. The plate comes with a wedge of spicy pickle, which was tasty and your choice of fries or salad. The first time I tried the salmon with udon noodles.The salmon was very dry or over cooked. The broth was oily. Veggetables were fine. read more

Low quality food trying to be high end. Should of known the food would be bad when I walked in on a Friday night and there was no one there. Went with a bunch of girls so was able to try most of their dishes. The first really bad thing was the watered down cocktails with tons of ice and no alcohol. Seriously charging for ice!!! Here are some of the things we tried chicken salad, cowboy steak, fish, and ramen. The chicken and steak extremely dry. Felt like I was eating cardboard. The fish and ramen extremely salty. Portions were small and just lacking in every way! On top of that Everything was overpriced. I would never recommend this place nor go back. Don't waste your money! It was so bad that we ended up going to another restaurant and had a real dinner with real drinks!!!! read more

Hostess Grace is very friendly and helpful! We ended up not eating here, but Grace was amazing. We wanted to see the menu but my date could not see without his glasses (which he left at home) and she had a great selection of reading glasses nearly organized for guest use. First of all, the place is very nice, beautiful setup the hotel bar and lounge are amazing. I made a reservation for 12 five days in advance for a birthday. We ended up in a private room and spoke to the manager who assured us the room could handle up to 16 without issue (manager was correct as we had 16 show up and the room was comfortable.) Now for the part I am not happy with: As far as I could tell we were the only customers at the restaurant, but only had one server for a table of 16 people. This server was not in any way attentive and over the course of 3 hours only came twice for drink orders, I understand that for some people that might not be a big deal, but we were trying to celebrate and drinks really help that move along. I can only speak for the bone in pork belly and honestly it wasn't very good, my buddy ordered a $47 bone in filet medium rare and received it well done, sent it back and it came back medium, at that point he just ate it rather than wait another 10 minutes. I believe they must have just opened and as such are still getting it together. I hope they do because in Legacy West there are many other choices. Oma has free valet which is nice and to the server's credit, he was serving and busing. They had other people helping occasionally, but honestly the lack of attentiveness with getting us drinks really set the pace for lackluster event and poor review. read more

My family goes out for breakfast every Friday morning. Came upon OMA via Yelp. Did not know it was located inside the Renaissance Hotel in Legacy West. Very nice ambiance, good service, they gave us complimentary shots of a berry smoothie. And that's the extent of the positive experience. It took them several minutes before anyone acknowledged us to have us seated (they saw us but never came to us). It took them a while to come and get our order. The food was very bland (meat had absolutely no seasoning in the West of Zen Eggs Benedict, had to ask for a side of sugar for the oatmeal). Would I go again? Maybe, for the atmosphere. read more
