Came here alone for hotpot, and it was pretty good! The tables for hotpot were really big, so i had a lot of room for myself & the portions are pretty big as well + fresh. My server Javen was also super helpful and attentive to me when I was deciding what to order. definitely visiting again!

Grill with awkward downdraft where chef stands

The food is Good, service needs a lot of work! Sat us down and nobody came by for almost 30 mins to get drink order. Appeared they only had 2 servers on a Saturday night. A big party cleared out when we sat down and the restaurant was half empty afterwards. The Hibachi chef did a good job, but kept complaining about the downdraft ventilation, that definitely is in an awkward spot. Food cooked to order well and portions were a good size. When finished took 15 mins to get the bill and he brought it out for the whole table, when it was obvious we were 3 separate parties! They also put 20% tip automatically on the bill and left no spot for additional tip ( not that we were going to give any). I will not rush back, though may go to try their " hot pots".

The food was really good!! Shaggy dog roll was really tasty. Combo fried rice with steak and chicken, no peas or carrots was outstanding! The steak was cooked MR as requested and the chicken was really moist. I would recommend that they give you a knife or cut the chicken/steak into bite size pieces. Very minor!! The salad dressing was unique and tasty. Onion soup was just ok but I'm not a soup person. Very nice bar with all the TVs from the previous sports bars. Great selection of beer and wine. I will say that the manager went above and beyond for the service. Bartender didn't really know the menu but the manager more than made up for it by explaining things. I will definitely be back!!

We wanted to try new/different place today and that's how we ended up here this evening. It was little after 5pm and it wasn't too busy and we got seated right away. I guess the plan was to wait for more customers to fill the table for the teppanyaki chef, but it ended up just the 2 of us. We ordered spicy crawfish rolls and rainbow rolls to start. They were very big and tasty. When our chef showed up, we told him to please no theatrics or tricks. We just wanted him to cook the food and he was happy about our request, bc it'd make it very easy for him. We ordered shrimp/scallops combo and shrimp/lobster and scallops combo. He cooked them perfectly and timely manner and they were so delicious. Our server was very attentive. The manager came by our table and asked how everything was. We felt so welcome. Inside the restaurant is very spacious, but in my opinion, they could use more ventilation as I saw lots of smoke from cooking, but no where for the smoke to really go. As we were leaving, more people started to roll in. We will definitely return next time.

It had just opened within the week so you could tell the staff was getting settled in. Flavors were good, the staff were all friendly, and the pricing was as expected for Hibachi with a party of 3. Only thing i would suggest with the Hibachi would be to include a fried ice cream or a sorbet. It would really complete the experience. Would recommend and will be going back. Hold them up to the Kobes in Adisson standards which closed down a little while back and although not quite there - closer than others we have tried.

This place was amazing. General Manager she truly went above and beyond. Food was very good. The hibachi show with Toby was very entertaining and funny.

Our waitress was very attentive from the beginning and offered enthusiastic recommendations. Our pork bone broth was delicious and we tried many kinds of meat and add ins, and they were great with sane portions. Didn't really feel like we missed out on anything by not buying the extra charge items and we both filled up quickly. There's little desserts at the sauce bar, and also a few things off the menu. We tried them all and found them neutral overall in flavor; nothing impressive, but still pleasant. The difficult thing about this place is the price. A few $ more than Seapot, but you also have to pay for broth, which can add up to $14 more PER broth, which is why bf and I only got one. So while I'd say this place was very good, Seapot is better value and would be my choice over this place. However, bf and I agreed that this place is definitely a better choice over Hai Di Lao.

If you love heat, this is your place, though I'll probably stick to the milder broths next time. The broth was well-flavored and the meats were excellent quality. Compared to other hot pots, the vegetable selection is a bit more limited, and they offer a variety of paid drinks like milk tea and canned sodas. Pro Tip: Definitely save room for the Korean Shaved Ice. It's light, delicious, and way bigger than it looks in the photos--one was more than enough for me! We will definitely be back soon.

Including drinks and changing the seafood / freezer items was probably one of their best decision ever. While the interior layout remains mostly unchanged, prior to the change I was a little worried about their business because it seemed kind of slow after other new competition opened in the area but I'm happy to see them make changes for the better and thriving. Meat quality is excellent, service is friendly and now they include a homemade shaved ice dessert which is cool. The only unfortunate thing is that they've bumped up their "basic" menu quite a bit and kinda priced me out of what I would call a quick casual go-to meal. While I am happy they are doing well, it's just not a place that I can frequent anymore especially being that my wife doesn't eat that much anyway. Would have been nice to have a slightly lower tier option available as not everyone cares for Wagyu. Definitely still an authentic hot pot experience though!

He checked on us often to make sure we had enough of the unlimited veggies and sauces. He chatted with us and constantly cleared our empty plates. He was the only server, but he was able to take amazing care of every table. He gladly changed the channel so we could watch the hockey playoffs and had us stand in front of the Japanese cherry blossom wall so he could take pictures of us on my phone. 5 out of 5 service It is a beautiful spacious restaurant with booth seating and counter seating (there is also a private room with a tv and a Shabu table set for 20). The tables are already set with plates, utensils, and pots with water and seaweed (kombu) 4 out of 5 for decor and ambiance I wish I could have liked the food more, but here's my honest opinion. I paid extra for spicy miso broth (I think an extra $2.50). They mix spicy miso paste into the water that is already boiling at your table. Even with hot drops, it was disappointingly bland. There are 3 dipping sauces: garlic teriyaki, ponzu (surprisingly sweet which I didn't enjoy), and peanut sauce (again bland). Nice that the sauces are unlimited, too bad they're not delicious tho. There were many choices of meat. I chose choice ribeye. You order by the ounce here so I ordered 8oz. High quality meat for the price. They give you a really small plate of veggies to start, but then if you ask for more (it's unlimited) they give you a giant bowl of spinach, tofu, carrots, mushroom, cabbage, and broccoli. You're also given white rice and your choice of noodle. I chose ramen, but it wasn't your usual ramen noodle. It was a tiny bowl with a handful of super thin noodles that took a long time to cook. 3 out of 5 for food Would I come back here? Yes! There aren't any other Japanese shabu restaurants around AND Sonny was awesome!
