This venue has a casual atmosphere and is family friendly. We've visited here before from out of town and returned because we enjoyed it here so much. Prices are a bit high, but worth it as their dishes are legit! Their Agadashi tofu deserves special recognition due to its textures. The grilled squid came out cold though - not freshly grilled. Plenty of comfort foods from which to choose here and the service is attentive. Although I don't recommend the server with the poofy hair as his people skills aren't all there. He has rough edges when it comes to table manners and we'll just leave that there. Perhaps he's just new to the U.S. and just hasn't mastered the nuances of the service industry. With that aside, we would return here as this area remains one of our favorites to stay in when visiting the Dallas area.
Service was great and very friendly. The food came out quickly too. The garlic ramen was actually a little too garlicky for me which was surprising with as much as I like and eat garlic. The broth was flavorful though and I did enjoy it. The pork was good and I should have got another egg. I did make a mistake and forgot to remove the bean sprouts so if I remembered to take those out and less garlic would be great.
The pork chashu are thick and big! Good flavor & taste. Very nice portion size! The noodles were cooked well. Egg was cooked perfectly. Chicken karaage was also big in size. Great crunch! I do wish they had a. Sauce that came out with it. Plenty of seating, and parking. Service was good, and our order came out promptly.
My bf and I were craving ramen before going to see a movie and since this is right near the mall it was perfect. little did we know we wouldn't want to leave, food is insanely good some of the best ramen i have had! portions are huge i couldn't finish mine thankfully they have cute little togo containers. the ambiance and vibe of this place is great and service is great too. the staff is so kind!! this place has become our new spot for ramen I highly suggest trying it out. pricing is reallly good to especially for how much food your getting, and if you are still worried about it not being enough food you can order the large for like 2 dollars more it's absolutely ginormous!!!!
This place was the best food we had on our trip to the Dallas-area. In a trip filled with great food! Their Shiyo ramen was amazing, they gyoza, and cucumber salad were delicious and fresh!
I eat here at least a couple times a week, food is always excellent. Service is fast and friendly, and the place is always spotless. I recommend the Nagasaki seafood ramen and the Beef Yakiudon.

A nice spot for simple yet delicious ramen. They offer plenty of seating and the staff was super friendly. The shoyu ramen was excellent, the portion was great, the broth was super smooth. The ebidon was a surprise hit, love the crispy shrimp! The sweet soy chicken karaage was the only let down, it was a bit too sweet. Overall we really enjoyed the meal, recommend!!

I ordered the miso ramen and it was rich, flavorful, and perfectly comforting--exactly what you want in a bowl of ramen. My husband had the tantanmen, which had just the right level of heat and incredible depth of flavor--spicy, bold, and absolutely delicious. Great food, smooth experience, and zero stress getting in and out. We'll definitely be back.
I had high hopes coming in as I was craving some good tsukemen, but it was a bit of a let down. The actual restaurant, ambiance and service were all 5 star. The food though was what brought it to 3 stars. Appetizers were good like the gyoza, croquettes and karage. The ramen was ok. But that tsukemen was just waaaaay too sweet! It's supposed to be savory but I felt like I was eating a dessert. I had to dump a ton of pepper and hot sauce to make it passable. Maybe next time I'll try some other ramen or stick to the apps
The Spicy Chicken Carbonara was full of flavor.It was like a Japanese pasta, I loved it, but the portion was small, as I didn't get full.If it had more volume , it would have been a five star rating, but still it was delish
Service was spectacular. The staff were friendly and very prompt. Their food is alright, but I'll admit I'm not the best judge for the food, it wasn't bad at all, just not my taste. I've only ever had curry from Coco Ichicabayan and I absolutely love it, the curry here tasted a little bit different. The person who was with me ordered their ramen and they loved it, I got to try some and it was pretty good. I loved their peach sake! They location is quiet, nice and clean. Absolutely loved that my rice was shaped as a cat!

Really delicious food, excellent quick service. Lots of ramen options, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices. Their appetizer selection is also top notch. All my food came out quickly and perfectly hot, and I loved the tableside condiments (sesame seeds, togarashi, chili oil, and more) allowing me to adjust the flavor to my preferences. The restaurant had some nice unobtrusive Japanese decor as well. I keep coming back here! read more
We had Regular and Spicy miso Ramen and chicken yuzu shio ramen. They were good, especially on a rainy day. It was the perfect kind of comforting meal. We enjoyed it, and the service was good too. Nice decor and a cozy atmosphere. read more
Came with tunnel vision for my newest craving, takoyaki and I wasnt to far from Ramen Hakata. The menu looks pretty good, if I wasn't short on time, I would have sat in and had a full meal. I only ordered a spicy takoyaki and now that I know how it's prepared I was able to appreciate it this time. It was hot, delicious with a decent amount of octopus, plenty of green onions and I liked how saucy it was. It wasn't spicy but did have a kick of extra flavor. I' can't wait to return to try the ramen. read more

What an absolutely wonderful experience to have eaten at this place. The selection of Ramen, it is more than I've ever seen before. My daughter and I had the spicy miso, hers was gluten-free, and mine was regular. My daughter has problem with gluten products so being able to enjoy this wonderful meal without that problem was a huge blessing. The broth is thick and rich. The proportions are just right, and the flavor is out of this world. read more

Clean. Simple. To the point. Menu is straightforward and the service was prompt. Seated right away via a prompt to seat yourself. Here on a Sunday, mid-day, and the vibe is relaxed and casual. Cultural music rests a hungry appetite. The smells of the different foods being served will make your mouth water. Food: Server was named Sue and she was very informative. Adhered to her recommendations and got the Shoyu Ramen. The broth was amazing. Flavorful from the first bite( or slurp) to the last. The menma had a great texture with a subtle crunch. The pork chashu was tender and succulent. The meal felt like a warm hug. This solo traveler is pleased. Will be back! read more

Arrived late near close but the service was very friendly! They were close to selling out, but we were able to get our orders in. The ramen is AMAZING and so comforting! Love Japanese white pepper and togarashi! Casual setting with friends or family, lively at night when it's busy! read more

I only tried a few ramen place in the area and so far this is my top ramen. I tried the tonkatsu ramen and really enjoyed the broth. The chashu really compliments the broth, wasn't porky at all. The broth wasn't heavy or too rich. My babes finished most of my noodles so I should opt for a large ramen next time. The Gyudon was a bit too sweet for my liking. I had to eat bits of ginger with every bite so it wouldn't be too sweet for me. My babes shared an udon, nothing special to add about it as I'm not a huge udon fan, only for the broth. I enjoy comfort food and this was perfect for me after a long day of traveling. 4 stars read more
Bring an appetite. The bowls are HUGE! AND the flavor even bigger. My kids love this place, and they are both picky eaters when it comes to Asian cuisine. The I gradients are fresh and the staff are so sweet and helpful. Try any of the miso base bowls...you won't go wrong, but hey the rice bowls are pretty scrumptious too...The spicy paste they use gives a nice flavor if you are into heating things up. Can't go wrong with the spicy or regular edemame either. Good for s pretty quick bite too...but bring a bib...lotsa slurping going on...its worth it! read more
This is our go-to ramen spot. We love it here- the food is always delicious and the service is always prompt. I usually get the Hakata Ramen and my boyfriend likes the spicy miso ramen. The broth is always really rich and flavorful. We also typically start off with the chashu bun- my personal favorite! This restaurant is also very reasonably priced, and we never have to wait too long for our food to come out. Been here several times and will be back. read more
We asked for a table to sit 7. 5 adults, a 12 year old and a 3 year old. We happily waited. My niece who is a frequent customer was so excited to be back. This was her favorite Ramen place. When it was our turn to be seated, we where told by the waitress that they will charge us 18% gratuity. We questioned the waitress why we should be charged 18%. Her response blew our mind. She said that the rule was for 8 people but it was upon their discretion to charge 18%. She further commented, they can charge 18% even if it's only for 1 person, she repeated, it's their discretion. She challenged us, if we don't want to pay the 18%, we can just give up our table. WOW ! Well, we sat down because everyone was already hungry. But while seated at the table, our group of 5 adults started discussing what just happened. That waitress responses really affected everyone's mood. My husband asked for the manager. The manager apologized but said, she'll have to hear the waitresses side of the story. Okay... but huh? Her side of the story? Ah forget it. The manager asked her other staff to cover our table. First time coming to this ramen location and I have nothing but good things to say. The service was nice and quick, so was the food. I think it only took MAYBE 3-4 minutes to come out but it also wasn't too busy for a Friday night. I'm definitely coming back here again to try something else. Ramen was pretty good, but not amazing. I got Nagasaki Seafood ramen. There was a lot of seafood and squid, but it felt like the medley of seafood and vegetables was really random. It felt more like seafood noodle soup than a ramen bowl. The soup was also really hot. It burned my tongue. The seasoning was good, but I felt that the soup was too salty. I got the miso bowl a different day. The miso bowl is a more normal ramen bowl. I wasn't too fond of the noodle with it. This place does not make their own noodles. The pork meat was also a little cold. they didn't warm it enough after taking it out of the fridge. Portion size is big, and customer service is good. Soup on the salty side. Overall good, but not the best. read more

This was the second Ramen Hakata location that I've tried, and the food and service continues to be great! I came in for weeknight dinner with my siblings, and we all ordered different things. To start, we had takoyaki, grilled ika, and geso karaage. We also decided to try the yuzu sparkling soda drink! The grilled squid was cooked just right, and the geso karaage was crunchy. We ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE YUZU SPARKLING SODA!! It was so addicting and yummy to drink. Definitely recommend it!! As for entrees, my brother got hakata ramen. He finished it quickly and loved how flavorful it is! My sister liked enjoyed her chicken tonkatsu as well. I was feeling a bit full, so I ordered a mini chashudon! It was a fun party in my mouth for sure! We took some takeout rice bowls home, and our parents raved about them too! We experienced very attentive and wonderful service from the staff here! Place was clean and everyone wore masks. It was a great dining experience. We will be back again! read more

Do they have kid items?
No they don't have a kids menu but you can get extra noodles and share a non spicy soup, order a bowl of rice and other side menus. My kids love ramen. My 8yo son will finish a bowl himself so I order extra noodles for my 5yo daughter.
Has anyone tried takeout from here? Thinking about getting some tonight. Wondering if they package it all together or separately.
I ordered a ramen to go when I was there. They did package everything separately so after a 45 minute drive home, when I heated up the broth and put it together it was almost like having it served at the restaurant.
Do they use MSG in any of their food?
I can't tell between added MSG and naturally occuring MSG in my food sometimes. The pork broth does taste of umami.…
