    Las Vegas Roll was spectacular.
    David B.

Wow! We travel a lot and Yelp is our only hope to find a good place to eat. Every single time Yelp comes through and it did again this time. We started with edamame and seaweed salad. The edamame was perfectly cooked and the seaweed salad was super fresh and not drenched in sauce. It had a light sesame flavor and came with thinly sliced cucumber. We ordered the geisha roll, Philly roll and the Las Vegas roll. A perfect trifecta and will blow your mind. First time trying a deep fried roll but our niece suggested it and it did not disappoint. The geisha roll was ridiculously fresh and had a lot of fish. Not like some places that use mostly rice! We will make this a regular stop when in Dallas.

We found our new favorite Japanese restaurant. The food is the best. The sashimi is fresh and good quality. The restaurant is clean, nice, and quiet for lunch. Staff are friendly and great service. Totally recommend!

We love this place as our local sushi spot. They have amazing lunch deals and currently an amazing winter deal! Service is fast and food comes out fresh. Stand outs for lunch are any of their bento boxes. They offer an array of food that will leave you full! Stand out rolls for us are the candy cane roll and the dragon roll. Current winter special for dine in only (set to end in a few weeks per their Facebook post 02/2024) is buy one get one free roll, happy hour ramen, sake, beer, appetizers, and robata. We got a ton of food for an amazing price. Highly recommend following them on Facebook to keep up with current deals and coming in for lunch bento :)

Came here for an impromptu date night when our preferred sushi spot in the area was closed - Last call for food is 30 minutes prior to close - the best thing we had was the veggie tempura - the worst was a fried spicy tuna roll; the tuna was cooked through - like eating an oily tuna sandwich with an Asian twist - the rest was a solid 3; nothing wrong with it and nothing I'd look forward to having again Service was super friendly

Came here for the $15 lunch bento box and was not disappointed! I got the roll bento (yellowtail roll) which also came with miso soup, side salad, tempura, and 4 pieces of California roll. For tempura, I prefer a lighter batter, but this tempura batter was more granular and thicker. My friend got the $19 Riceless roll - double salmon, which was also yummy. Service was friendly and quick, and the cafe seating area was comfortable and spacious. Would definitely come back for the lunch bento box next time I'm in the area!

Such huge portions!! I initially thought the items on the menu were pricey at first glance, but you definitely get your money's worth. The sushi & sashimi combo had massive pieces of fish. I also got the candy cane roll, and I could barely pick a piece up with my chopsticks because it was so big. It was pretty empty for a Sunday night so service was great. I liked the ambiance inside as well; it felt very nice and upscale.

New sushi and robata restaurant in Frisco. Still in their soft opening. Robata is only for dinner but they do have quite a few lunch specials like bento boxes. We opted for the sushi and tonkatsu bento. Both were a great value for the amount of food you get. One of the better bento boxes in the area with the fresh tempura, miso soup, and salad. Overall, the food is pretty good. Not really any complaints there though nothing really blew us away and the agedashi tofu breading was a little chewy. Beautiful interior and hope to try more of the robata in the future.

I decided to try this place after seeing it on the "new sushi spots to try" e-mail I get from yelp. The 5 piece nigiri and sushi roll combo that I ordered was good, and the fish was fresh. The standout dish for me was the ahi tower. It not only tasted great, but was plated well too. I was a bit disappointed when the staff mixed it up before I had a chance to snap a picture, but imagine any other ahi tower at any other sushi place lol. There was a bit of a language barrier, which, at times, affected the service. Imura Sushi is still in its soft opening phase, so I understand they are still figuring things out. It was a bit of a bummer to find out that the robata is only available during dinner hours. I'll need to plan another visit around dinner time. It was great to see that all the sushi chefs at the bar were Japanese. This is not typically common, so it added an authentic touch to the dining experience. Overall, Imura Sushi offers great lunch special deals, with the 5 piece nigiri and sushi roll combo being a definite highlight. Despite the slight language barrier with the waitress and the service not being outstanding, I believe these are kinks that can be ironed out during their soft opening phase. I look forward to returning for dinner and trying their robata dishes. Plus, seeing all Japanese sushi chefs at the bar was nice.

Here's what's for dinner: - Robata: Kurobuta pork sausage from Japan. Cooked perfectly with a nice crisp snap when you bite into it - Robata: Japanese scallops were ok, one piece a bit undercooked - Robata: black cod was very tender but be careful with the bones - Robata: sake steamed clams were very tender & flavorful broth - App: chicken karaage was very tender & just the right amount of batter to complement the chicken - Riceless: Lovely roll that was supposed to come wrapped in soy paper & avocado. Since they were overwhelmed, we ate it as is, still yummy - Yellowtail sashimi - App: potato croquette that we marveled at how it came out so evenly battered in such perfect shape, good comfort food - Crepe cake dessert. Moist alternating cake with light strawberry cream & not overly sweet It got busy pretty quickly. Wrong food was brought out multiple times & service was very hard to come by. But it's first Friday of soft opening week, so be patient. We got a chance to talk to the owner. Very nice & sincere guy wanting to provide the freshest & authentic dining experience. He told us it was quiet during the week & tonight took them by surprise & they were down a few workers. Alcohol menu will come later & the menu won't change much once soft opening is past. He also owns a few other restaurants, one of them is literally next door called Cracked & Crepe (also a popular spot), so check them out for breakfast/lunch, then come on over to Imura for your next meal!

FOOD -Takoyaki -Sushi and Sashimi Lunch Special (friend ordered) -Salmon Tower The takoyaki was really good. It had a nice little crunch on the outside and was chewy, warm, and delicious on the inside. Decent amount of octopus in each one which was nice. Perfect amount of sauce and flakes on the top that added to the flavor. The salmon tower was really good as well. Generous amounts of salmon and imitated crab. The sauce wasn't too overpowering which was good. Fresh and good avocados on the top. There was the perfect amount of rice and all the flavors just mixed so well. A fresh dish with lots of flavor! I would definitely recommend this place and the food. It is a little bit more on the pricier side compared to some of the other sushi places that I've been to but definitely worth it! VIBES The restaurant is nice. It definitely gives a fancier feel like elevated casual level. Perfect for dates or special occasions. Plenty of seating with booths and combination of booth and chairs as well! Lighting is a little bit on the dimmer side but that adds to the ambiance. SERVICE Service was really nice. My friend and I came in a little bit close to the closing time for the afternoon, but the people were super nice! They all greeted us as we entered and we were seated quickly. Food came out quickly as well and our waitress was very responsive to our needs. She came by and checked on us often and refilled our waters as soon as it ran low. She also helped to mix together the sushi tower evenly for me.

Decided to try this place for lunch today after seeing their sponsored ad yesterday about their soft opening. Been waiting a few weeks since they had announced a few weeks back about a soft opening on a popular Facebook group. We dined at 1pm today and there was no wait, decor is cute. Staff is friendly. Food is fresh and good. We tried their salmon Ahi Tower and it came with big pieces of salmon. The sauce was a little bit on the sweet side but overall was delicious. My husband got the sushi bento and I got their beef teriyaki bento. My beef teriyaki tasted more like sweet beef and onion stir-fry, but I could be bias since I am a huge fan of Genroku's beef teriyaki bento (and nothing will likely ever compare). The highlight to my bento was surprisingly the California roll, which was made with (what I think) was brown rice and very fresh (imitation?) crab meat. Our server offered us free desserts and I got the green tea ice cream while my husband tried the Mont Blanc. The Mont Blanc was not exactly what I had envisioned in my head, but it was unique. I would give this place five stars but halfway through our lunch, the waitstaff was twiddling with dimming the lighting and a few lights including our overhead light started flickering and having this strobing effect. After a few minutes I couldn't take it anymore and asked the waiter what the issue was, and he promptly fixed it by brightening the lights again. I'm not sure how they could have left the lights like that knowing it was flickering so much. Overall the food was good and price was reasonable. We'll likely come back and try a few other items.

My boyfriend and I have dined with Imura twice. The first time was a great experience--we had a super friendly and welcoming server who brought out our dishes fast and gave us a complementary side-dish to try alongside our sushi. The sushi itself was pretty good, but not spectacular. The pieces of fish were big and plentiful, which we appreciated. We ordered a bunch of nigiri including salmon, tuna, freshwater eel, sea eel, scallop, chutoro, red snapper, yellowtail, and a few others. We also ordered the lobster tail robata, alongside the calamari robata. These were our favorite dishes at this restaurant--the sauce and the grill on the seafood was SO tasty and was the main reason I returned for a second time. Another reason we later returned was because the owner walked us out alongside the awesome server we had, when we left. However, when we returned the second time, it was on my birthday that landed on a weekday in 2024. We ordered a variety of nigiri, the lobster + calamari robata, and I tried the Japanese scallops robata. The Japanese scallops were so bad that I could not take more than 2 bites. It might just be personal preference, but wow I really did not like that dish. There was a tiny bit of broth in the shell that the scallops were sitting in, and it was just not good at all, along with the texture of the scallops. I enjoyed everything else, but I am never ordering Japanese scallop robata again. The overall ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant is good and has nothing wrong with it. It was clean and nicely decorated inside. Next, coming here was not my main birthday celebration, but it was on the actual day, so I was expecting at least a "happy birthday" from our server. Yet, despite being ID'ed from ordering sake, the server (a taller Asian girl with a long ponytail) took a few looks at my ID and simply handed it back to me. I even said "it's my birthday!" but she either didn't hear me or knowingly didn't respond as she walked away. We arrived around 7:45 PM, after I finished work, and they close at 9 PM, so we assumed we had enough time to eat without preventing them from closing at 9 PM. Around 8:30 PM, we were told the kitchen was closing soon, which we were 100% okay with, as we were almost done. But then, as we were wrapping up our meal and getting ready to leave around 8:45 PM, the server was giving us a little bit of attitude and the other staff behind the counter were eyeing us as if we were overstaying. This left a very sour taste in my mouth about this restaurant, especially considering it was my birthday. Those who know me, know that I am a huge sushi fanatic who is constantly looking for "regular" sushi restaurants that we return to weekly or biweekly. We will most likely not return to Imura Sushi and Robata, as it didn't impress us overall.

We dined in and the vibe is actually great--clean, a little trendy, but not in a way that makes you feel underdressed for just wanting some really good Chinese food. Service was solid too. No theatrics, just quick, smooth, and everything showed up exactly when it should. We ordered the crispy beef, General Tso's, and the steamed housemade dumplings and I was honestly a little shocked at how good everything was. The biggest win here is that nothing was drowning in oil or buried under a thick layer of breading. You can actually taste the food...which feels like a rare concept these days. Everything was super flavorful without making you feel like you need a nap and a life reset afterward. The dumplings? Legit. Not a throwaway menu item. The crispy beef had actual texture without being a deep-fried brick, and the General Tso's had flavor beyond just "sweet and spicy mystery sauce," which I deeply respect. It's easily heads and shoulders better than most of the Chinese spots around here. Like, not even close. This is the kind of place where you try it once and immediately start thinking, "Yeah...this is my spot now." I will absolutely be back...probably once a week...possibly more if I lack self-control (which is looking likely).

And the food is authentic. Hot Hong Kong milk tea and French toast are my favorite breakfast items and that's exactly what I got. If I were in Hong Kong, I would get them in the morning. But I wouldn't mind having them any time of the day! The milk tea was great. I liked the aromatic, bold black tea. It was fairly creamy and smooth. The French toast was delicious also. Fried golden brown, it was toasty on the outside, and nutty, buttery (with peanut butter filling) on the inside. I liked the condensed milk drizzled on top, instead of syrup, which I normally use at home. They also have other Hong Kong style dishes, like the baked cutlet pork chop with rice, fish fillet in creamy white sauce, and iconic street foods like curry fish balls, radish, and pork rinds (yummy!) This place is fully decorated with so many Hong Kong street items, like the big wall pictures of busy, beautiful city views, signs of major streets, shop signs, etc. If you're not from Hong Kong, they may not mean too much to you. But if you are, they're invariably nostalgic. If you want a delightful experience of Hong Kong food and ambience, come give it a try.

The green onion pork chop rice was flavorful and comforting. The pork chop was tender and well seasoned, and the scallion soy sauce soaked beautifully into the rice. Simple and satisfying, exactly what you want from a classic HK café dish. The standout was the stir fried flat noodle with beef. It came out piping hot with steam rising, and the texture was spot on. The noodles were perfectly chewy without being greasy or clumped together, and the beef was tender with that subtle smoky wok hei flavor. You can tell it was cooked fresh, and that heat and texture really made the dish shine. The salted lemon soda was bright and refreshing, while the Yuen Yeung was strong and smooth with that classic Hong Kong milk tea and coffee combo kick. The tofu pudding had an authentic Hong Kong flavor. Served warm with a light ginger sugar syrup, it was silky smooth, delicate, and not overly sweet, bringing back that nostalgic HK dessert shop vibe. If you're craving classic Hong Kong cha chaan teng comfort food, this place absolutely hits the spot. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and it feels like a true neighborhood spot. We will be back.
