You order at a kiosk and sit wherever you'd like. The staff brings out your food to your table. I'd say the portions are pretty big, and the food comes out fairly quickly. It's a great quick meal that will fill you up.

The beef pepper lunch was yummy, but nothing special. It's just fried rice that you have to stir up. You can add more toppings, but it does add up. I do wish they give you more beef. You place your order at the kiosk, grab buzzer, & have a seat at any table available. They bring you your order & ask if you want them to mix it up for you.

Service was good helpful they cleaned our tables. It was very busy. We were still able to manage to get a table. Service was decently quick. We did not have to wait. Long food was tasty. Enjoying the sauces. Prices around 13 to 16 per person potentially 20 if you want extra toppings.

We went here for our weekly date night and we thought it was a terrific concept! I got the beef curry and my partner got the pepper beef, daring, I know. Cooking the meat in the cast iron bowl was novel and the staff offered to do it for us if we felt uncomfortable doing it. The beef was of good quality for the price and the curry sauce was quite tasty. Each plate is something of a blank slate without add-on toppings such as egg and various vegetables. By default they only come with meat, onions, rice, and corn. The sauces at the table were also quite tasty. The service was outstanding. There was a line out the door the whole time we were there and it was always moving quickly. Despite the crowd, the staff brought us our food with haste and made sure our needs were met. We will certainly be returning.

Despite the chaos of a Friday night right after open, Pepper Lunch exceeded all expectations. I enjoyed the kiosk ordering and imagine once the hype dies down a bit ordering that way will be perfect. There was someone guiding us to an open table near the front, which was very efficient from what we could tell. We sat near the ordering kiosks and it seemed no one waited for a table for too long. Food took about 10 minutes to come out. I really liked my beef pepper rice. I wish the egg had come with it, but it's definitely an important add on -- get the egg. The sauces at the table were more than sufficient, and I really liked the garlic soy. I'd say the beef amount was too small for me, and next time I'd consider getting extra beef. Everything was cooked nicely and was a good amount of food for money, and our drinks were kept topped up by the staff despite the busy evening. Overall, I'm looking forward to returning. I think I'd like to try one of the pasta dishes next.

I've been anxiously waiting for this to open. I went to Pepperlunch for the first time in Hong Kong decades ago and fell in love. You come in and order through a tablet kiosk, given a buzzer, and then you get seated. My family and I were invited for a soft opening dinner. Grand opening is this weekend. We got to try the popular but traditional pepper beef and the kimchi pepper beef. My kids had the pasta and chicken and the karaage and fries. We also ordered drinks: fountain lemonade and the dragonfruit drink (highly recommend). Sides I ordered were regular French fries, sweet potato fries and the onion rings. They were all the right amount of crispiness! The pepper beef dishes were just as I remembered. Everything just melted in my mouth. My server mixed my dish and helped to cook it for me.The foot stayed super hot and fresh on the sizzling hot plate. What was lacking were the kids' dishes. The pasta was plain and needing the garlic soy sauce and the sweet sauce on the table. The karaage was too hard and not tender and juicy enough inside. They forgot my onion rings, but they were delivered after we finished our meal. Service was great and friendly. Decor and ambience was clean, fresh, and modern. You're going to need some patience waiting for your food, but it's worth it. They're still working out the kinks.

Service was fast and the concept is neat. It's very quick to order and eat if you're literally on your lunch break. lot of people there for a lunch and seemed like they knew what this restaurant was or what they offer. But not a long wait

I was stoked to see this new food spot! I came the week after the grand opening and it was super busy, as expected. Food was pretty pricey, with us spending around $80 for 2 bowls and 2 sides. I don't mind spending on good food at allll but I don't think this was worth it. Onion rings were really good and sweet potato fries were just okay (more like wedges and not seasoned at all). The bowls are super customizable but with every ingredient costing $2, it adds up. Why are things like green onions $1.99? :( On top of that, the only seasoning that can actually be tasted is pepper so overall it was pretty bland. Sad to say that this did not meet our expectations.

Beautiful Restaurant with great quality food. Service I thought needed a bit work as it was a bit slow however they just have opened so that will probably improve over the next few months. I got the classic beef, rice, corn, green onions and added mushrooms to my hot plate bowl. The concept is extremely cool as the food cooks right in front of you and the flavor of the beef is extremely great. Our waiter Kaya was also really kind. We will definitely be back although for opening week lines to get inside have been extremely long.

Finally open! This is a Japanese classic that used to exist in Houston, but closed down eventually so I'm so excited to see it re-entering the market. The beef bowl comes out in a sizzling, hot platter with rice and corn and green onions. I'm a fan of dosing it in the garlic and sweet sauce. You can also easily customize it with any extra add-ons. We ended up going during the grand opening and it was a blast. The one thing I didn't love was how cooked the karaage as it felt like it was left in the fryer a little too long, but due to the fact that it was their grand opening, I'm not gonna blame them for that until I've had it again. Their mascot is super cute. This fits perfectly with the coco ichibanya across the way. Another thing to note is that whenever you order chicken or onion rings you're able to get a sauce on the side for free and the options they have are kimchi, Sriracha, and ketchup.

My family and I decided to try this place for lunch. The ambiance is really upbeat. The servers were really nice and helpful, especially Jade and Miko. The food taste was good, but the price is a bit high for the portions you receive.

The taste was exactly like in Japan, which was such a pleasant surprise. My son absolutely loved it! And for the price, getting this level of steak quality for just $16 is really impressive. Definitely a great value.

The menu is surprisingly big, offering a variety of dishes that cover all the bases, but what caught my eye was the Hibachi. I had just been to Benihana last week, so I figured this would be a fun comparison and ordered the Hibachi Chicken. A few minutes later, my meal was brought out by the young lady working the counter--who also happened to be pregnant and absolutely glowing. She had the kind of upbeat, welcoming personality that instantly makes you feel like you made the right choice coming in. Friendly service goes a long way for me, and she turned what could've been just another quick meal into something memorable. The food itself was delicious. If you enjoy Benihana-style flavors, this hits the mark--minus the chef flipping shrimp tails into his hat. The chicken was tender, the veggies were cooked just right, and with two sauces on the side, it had that perfect balance of savory and satisfying. This place is a great local option when you want something tasty without the long wait or fanfare. I'll definitely be back, and next time I might explore more of that menu that tempted me from the start. A solid little hidden gem in Allen worth pulling over for. I give this place my famous "Arnold Schwarzenegger" quote, "I'LL BE BACK"

Refreshing Surprise - Passion & Care…read more I was down the street getting a haircut and had a craving for sushi, so I opened Yelp, spotted Kanzi, and decided to swing by. I'm so glad I did. Kanzi is one of those refreshing surprises: an approachable neighborhood sushi spot that clearly cares about the details. They may not be trying to be an ultra high-end omakase destination with otoro and uni, but what they do offer, they execute with care, precision, and pride. The fish was clearly well stored and well cared for, and the cuts were clean and thoughtful. I tried the red snapper, eel, mackerel, yellowtail, masago, super white tuna with fresh wasabi, and one roll: the no-rice Cool Hawaiian. I'll post a few pictures as well because the presentation really deserves it. I sat at the bar and had the chance to talk with Hong, the chef preparing my food. I learned that he took over the restaurant from his brother and still visits sushi restaurants around DFW at least twice a week to keep learning, tasting, and improving his own craft. That told me everything I needed to know. There is real passion here. Hong believes the details matter, from a clean bathroom to the right Japanese knife, specially purchased for left-handed use. That kind of care shows up in the food and in the overall experience. Go visit Kanzi, sit at the bar if you can, and tell Hong that Tait says hello -- and thank you. Pro Tip: Kanzi is currently BYOB. There is a liquor store right across the parking lot, literally within about 50 feet. Walk in, head to the cooler on the far right, grab a cold bottle of sake, and bring it back with you. Kanzi has sake cups ready to go, which makes the whole experience even better.

Food: I've never been big on hibachi, but I love sushi, and Jinbeh didn't disappoint. My first visit, I ordered the crab rangoons, jalapeño crab roll, and vegetable fried rice with New York strip steak. While hibachi isn't really my thing, the food was solid. The crab rangoons were a standout--freshly made and packed with crab meat, not just cream cheese. Easily the best I've ever had! The jalapeño crab roll was also quite delicious as well. On a return visit, during lunch I ordered the crab rangoons and jalapeño crab roll again. Later that night, I came back and I tried the lobster volcano and Tiffany roll. I don't usually enjoy fried sushi or cream cheese in rolls, but Jinbeh may have changed my mind--the quality of their sushi is so good that even my picky eater friend is now considering raw fish! Their wasabi sauce deserves special mention--it's spectacular and pairs perfectly with the rolls. As for drinks, the bar menu is fantastic. I tried the lychee martini, pineapple mojito, and a margarita--all refreshing and well-made. Service: The service is great--cozy and family-like. The hostess and bartender, Carissa, was particularly amazing! The staff overall is all kind and attentive. The service here reflects the traditional style you often find in Asian restaurants--it's efficient and polite, though not overly extravagant. Ambiance: The interior is inviting with a cozy, family-friendly vibe. The restaurant has a decent size with well-spaced tables, making it great for groups or intimate meals. The ambiance feels warm and relaxed, perfect for enjoying a nice meal.
