Have driven by this place a lot, normally looks pretty busy. Decided to stop by for breakfast, it was pretty busy but only had to wait a couple minutes for a table. The service is very fast, friendly, and come by often to check on everything. The owner stopped by to check on everything as well. The food was good, good size portions, and reasonably priced. I had never been here when it was Chef's House, but my mom and grandmother wanted to try it. We arrived at 2:30 for lunch. Apparently they close at 3:00-they were cleaning and seemed to be trying to get out of there, but with 30 minutes to go and with no one else there we figured we would be out by 3. The server was sweet enough, the food was ok (I had a chicken gyro, my mom had a Greek salad (she LOVED it) and grandma had a BLT pita). The issue I had was the owner coming in toward the end of our meal (we were the only table in the restaurant-but still paying customers!) and telling the servers the drawer was $30 short, to him reprimanding our actual server (seemed to be regarding her check or pay?-nevertheless extremely unprofessional with paying guests right there eating their meal... The real kicker though was the cooks in the back shouting out rude comments "they want to order something special when they come in at closing" and kept carrying on thru the open window from the back of the house to the front of the house...just they didn't know how to make the Greek fries. Well, then the server shouldn't have told us they could make them. So unprofessional and RUDE. Food was just ok/average, but due to the owner and cooks in the back I will not be back. So this last weekend my wife had to work, which meant I was on my own to find something decent for breakfast. Having remembered this place had recently re-opened with new owners, I decided to give it a try. On Saturday morning I stopped in around 9:30am and they were about 3/4's full. The wait staff was on the move, the customers were settled in and everyone I encountered seemed happy to be there. They sat me quickly and my waitress showed up about one minute later. I asked for an iced tea, the chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast and some wheat toast. Looking around showed they had not made many changes to the restaurant, but as the place now had more customers and the wait staff actually looked involved, I figured any changes were probably mostly internal and all for the best. My food arrived quickly and it was better than expected. It did not take me long to finish and it seemed I was out of there by 10:00am...as I had a lot on my wife's to-do list to take care of, I was very thankful for that. They even offered a to go cup for my tea, which was also very nice of them. Sunday I rolled into the restaurant at 10:00am and it was even more crowded. I had to wait a whole 5 minutes for a table to open up. Soon I was seated and noticed they were offering a Philly Steak Omelet as a special, (with home fries and toast), so I ordered it. BEST DECISION I MADE ALL THAT DAY! The omelet had steak, peppers, onions and cheese and it was extremely good and very well made. The home fries were crispy and golden brown, (the same way I make them!) and again, I got to leave with a to go cup of iced tea. This might just be our new go to breakfast spot in Hilliard. Next week I'll drag my wife here so she can "test the waters", but I'm pretty sure she will like it as well. The prices here are outstanding, the food is good to great and the service was quick, friendly and always timely. Great work by all! read more

Our neighborhood diner with a varied menu, good food, and very reasonable prices. They do it right, from omelettes to hash browns to sandwiches. I have tried 11 different dishes and have yet to be disappointed. If you want fancy, go spend $20 for an omelette at some foo foo restaurant. If you want eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast for under $5, then like me, this is your place. Only wish they had slightly longer hours. Would be nice to be able to get lunch here mid-afternoon on those days where appointments have us running late. Hey, I'm not complaining, just wishing for more opportunities to go there. read more

When my significant other and I first moved to Hilliard, we checked out Olympic Diner for brunch on a Saturday. I love frequenting local diners for weekend brunch and I was excited to find one walking distance from our apartment! Unfortunately, Olympic Diner didn't reach our expectations. I ordered two eggs over easy with toast and home fries. Everything was inexpensive and acceptable, but not outstanding. The real bummer was my significant other's meal. He ordered bacon and deemed it the "worst bacon" he's ever eaten. It was limp and flavorless, so much so he said he almost felt like he needed to salt it. As inexpensive as the food is, it still isn't worth paying for crappy bacon. I will say, the staff was friendly and the service was prompt. I just wish we'd been happier with our meal itself. read more

Tried for the first time for lunch. Breakfast served all day. Waffles are frozen from GFS. they tasted terrible so exchanged it for French Toast which was bland. Rueben is decent but small. Fries were good and hot. Not impressed with food since most is frozen stuff but service was good and pleasant. read more

Avoid Olympic Diner at all costs. This place was absolutely terrible. Do you like getting refills? If so, this isn't the place for you. Took until the end of the meal to get refills. Show of hands, would you consider chili as a soup? I learned something new today! Our waitress was rude when my friend asked if you could get chili as the soup and said, "No, you cannot do that. That's not one of our soups." Which is fine, no no need to make us feel like fools for asking. The fried fish was slimy on the inside with raw batter because they battered it too thick. The green beans were in this weird sauce and they were soggy. It almost looked like they took the green beans out of their bland vegetable soup and made them a side. House ranch had no flavor whatsoever. Most definitely will not come back. I could have gotten a better meal at a pig pen. read more

What a wonderful place to eat. Best known for their breakfast specials, their menu is eclectic offering everything from conveys and gyros to huge salads and chicken fried steak! Everything is fresh and cooked to order. The wait staff is quick, super friendly and Johnny on the spot refilling coffee cups and drink glasses before they are near empty. Loved this diner when we moved here 6 months ago. Lately have been disappointed in some of their price quirks. Order a large Greek salad and add chicken for an extra $2.50 Order a small Greek salad and add chicken for an extra $4.00. (you even get less chicken on the smaller salad) Order a half order of pancakes and get 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and either sausage or bacon. Tell them you only want 1 pancake with this order and they charge you and extra $1.50. Makes no sense. I have stopped going there. But my wife still loves them and will continue to patronize. Finally got to visit Olympic Diner for breakfast today. Since they are only open for breakfast and lunch, I usually can't get in since they are closed by the time I get off work. I'm so glad I went today! I ordered the build your own omelette (with mushroom, onion, spinach, feta and gyro meat), home fries and sourdough toast with some coffee. The portion sizes were quite generous and the food was tasty. My only criticism is that there was a little too much spinach for me, but not a big deal. I loved that the home fries were nice and crispy. Service by my waitress, Chelsy, was outstanding. She was attentive, cheerful and just great. Overall I'm very impressed. Looking forward to the next time I'm working from home so I can go back. read more

This place surprisingly has the best seafood in town. Got the fish and chips. The cod fish was not to dry or oily but cooked perfect with a crunch. Even the fries which looked greasy tasted very fresh and not overly salted. Come here for lent Fridays if your fish fry is closed it is well worth it. Not only had the interior received a long needed update, the food and especially the food choices also improved. Food was okay. I requested something special off the menu, the server and cooks were okay to do it. I usually don't like to be difficult, what so ever I dint like much off the menu. Perhaps they will upgrade their menu and raise the prices so you can get a cheeseburger with fries, I don't eat cheeseburgers but if you do.
